my entry for this competition

This is a symbiotic species including a flower and a critter.
It has 8 pairs of feet with sharps spikes that can easily penetrate wood to climb up trees. It lives in deep jungle where there is no much light left on the ground level due to the old, huge trees covering the sky. The flower makes enough energy for both of them with photosynthesis when they are on the treetops, and get enough water and minerals from the ground when they're down there. So the critter offers to move the plant around in exchange for energy so it doesn't have to eat.
To avoid energy and water loss the flower closes when there's no sun.
They come in various colours and the critter can accept any willing plant for the symbiosis as long as it's light enough for it to carry.
