what is a whelkon?

A Whelkon is an old, rare and a quite undiscovered species that seems to resemble a wolf, an elk and a dragon.
With it's long, hooved legs, strong majestic antlers and a wise wolve's head, they seem the ultimate ancient creatures.
They have a soft, forgiving nature but a spirit that will never be broken.
Roaming our lands, trying to survive each day and hoping they won't get discovered by the greedy human hands.

I spent a little bit more time on this one's design. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I did designing them. <3

Tell me a bit about them: Secretive, Fiðri is a brilliant leader who stands up when he needs to. He doesn't want the power he has over others, and often shies away from his own people. But that doesn't keep him from being warm and open, when he needs to be. He'd rather much curl up into a ball and think about life, but he knows that he needs to lead.
1 Extra: (your choice but must be about the Whelkon. Short personality; story etc.): Fiðri is rather tired, often wanting to sleep instead of deal with others. He'd rather much not be a leader, but he will wait until the next Whelkon that even has a slimmer of leadership comes his way to throw into the tiring cycle. As much as others believe that he is selfless, Fiðri actually thinks of himself as quite selfish for wanting to put another in his place so he could have it easier. But he always tries to reason that it is for his own mental health.

Tell me a bit about them:

Liliana lives amidst a combination of soft, rolling hills and a dense forest. The whole territory is sprinkled with a few quiet creeks and clear ponds. She does her best to visit each major area of her piece of the world in order to check up on all of her inhabitants who are, for the most part, wild creatures: far too many rabbits, a wolf pack, a bear, too many birds to truly keep track of, a cougar, several hedgehogs, a myriad of frogs and toads... and the list goes on. There are days when Liliana feels a bit overwhelmed by the duties she considers her responcibility. However with every dispute over territory facilitated to a peaceful end or ill inhabitant nursed back to health, Liliana gains the inner strength to continue on.
She does, however, take the very occasional break when she would take the day and rest at her favorite pond, staring into its depths and day-dream about meeting another of her kind. She has often wondered if she shouldn't strike out and see if she could come into contact with at least one other... But then another scuffle between some irritable chipmunks nearby would break out and she would be needed to settle the argument. That would settle the question for her in the moment: she was needed here too much to be able to go out and explore... Maybe someday, though...
