quite an improvement

I lit a candle in the night so I could see...

This is a redraw of my first observable oekaki!!!

WOW that certainly is quite the improvement. It's always so cool to see how artists have grown on their journey. The concept is quite a cool one in and of itself; I love the prospect of seeing a ghost in the smoke. It was certainly a concept that deserved an update!

This recent piece shows much more thought in the way of colors and composition, and it adds a lot. Love the sunrise, love the shadowed grass, and LOVE the highlights given by the fireflies. And the candle itself is quite interesting to look at - not to mention this dog is in a much more dynamic position and far more expressive.

To sum things up - good concept younger you, amazing execution modern you!!!

Thank you so much!!! I used to have the mindset of "ewwww old art" but knowing that I had decent concepts as a child and that I now have the skills to properly execute them is a point of pride for me :)
