Into the Woods

Igneous Stone was about ready to call it quits and head home after an unsuccessful expedition into the woods to inspect a possible campsite. As the cat started to head home, an otherworldly fog descended, rendering her flashlight useless.
Anxious to return home but aware of her tendency to walk in circles, she instead planted her paws atop a rock to use as a vantage point. What she heard and saw seemed to befit one of Singapore's stories - some sort of beast was lurking just beyond her vision, ready to pounce at any given moment.
Not willing to take any chances, Igneous raised her hackles and bore thorn-sharp teeth as she half-choked, half-yowled, "nightmare!"
