(art by the lovely clumsy )Joziah was a sweet and quiet little cub, usually spending most of his day
listening to the older lions in the pride or finding little seedlings to help
grow, placing his paw over the seed and watching green leaves pop out
of the earth. When he did spend time with other cubs, Joziah found him
self being the peacemaker when fights or arguments broke out, the cub's
judgment free thinking evident even in the younger years of his life. When
he turned 200 and Joziah finally got his adult form, his grey mane short
which dictated he was to be a warrior and soon was divided into the ranks
that most suited them. With Joziah's complete control over his earth
element due to him using so much when he was younger, the Alpha chose
him as a tank. His focused characteristic meant that he trained heavily and
his earth element meant that his fur lacked the softness that some lions
possess but he used it to his advantage, building up muscle and strength
quickly. As a tank, he was the first line of defense and to defend the other
lions in the group which he took seriously. "They take the brunt of all
attacks and make it their mission to ensure the survival of the rest of the
section. These lions must be steadfast and virtually unafraid of being
confronted and attacked often." (info from site) Joziah had read that over
and over when he was younger and while he wouldn't show it, he someti
mes worried that he didn't fit all of the criteria but his parents who he was
very close with always made those fears subside. When he was 230, Joziah
was able to experience his first war and his heart pounced with anticipation
and fear as his heavy armour was placed on his body to begin lining up on t
he front line. The battle was a blur of claws, lights and earth and fire hurle
d across the battlefield to try and bring down the enemies on both sides. As
Joziah held a lion and tightened the vines that held him in place, he heard a
cry, Joziah was unsure on how he heard it but his instincts told him it was o
ne of his childhood friends. Finishing off the enemy, Joziah raced across the b
attlefield and didn't hesitant to slam his strong frame into the lion that held
his friend to the ground. The lion slashed at Joziah and gave the earth eleme
ntal scars that many of the cubs he teaches ask about and while he doesn't m
ind satisfying their curiosity, Joziah changes the story every time he is asked.
The ground froze beneath him as the male ran forward and his ears pinned to
the ground as he heard a click. With his back leg dislocated as he fell badly
on the tough ground, Joziah readied himself for the lion to make the final blow
but his friend came from behind him and took the ice lion down. Healers were
able to help but Joziah found that some days his leg would shift in the socket
causing him pain. After a chat to the Secondary Leader, he decided that he wo
uldn't be able to completely protect his fellow tanks and was advised to fin
d another rank in the warriors that would suit him. After spending a while talk
ing to a lion in each rank and even the Alpha himself, Joziah became a distractor.
he enjoys the rank as it gives him the opportunity to work on ranged attacks that
he didn't get much practice with as a tank. He does like to hang around the
cubs when he can and hopes to have a few of his own one day.

Extra: He purrs when he is deeply asleep and is a bit of a romantic
but don't tell anyone or he will hunt you down and trap you under a rock.┃

Joziah seems like an extroverted lion by many, how
ever, he's actually someone who rather enjoys time
by himself but loves hanging around with the cubs.
While some may label him as a pacifist due to him
not being a warrior like many other lions his age,
Joziah is nothing of the sort, usually using his large
intimating frame to help others "re-think their thou
ghts" as he politely puts it when he is being courte
ous. When around the cubs and even though he does
n't teach them, Joziah is tolerant, patient and very
passionate about helping the new generation reach
their potential when he can. His passionate, fiery
nature comes alive when he needs to stick up for
someone and will always act when he sees somethin
g that it wrong. Is a great lion to vent to, giving adv
ice on how to solve it rather than how just to make
it temperately disappear without judgement. Ironic
ally, he doesn't like to talk about his own problems
to anyone, instead he keeps things to himself to an
almost unhealthy extent, letting worrying thoughts
invade his mind until he finds something to busy him
self with (playing with earth cubs to give them some
tips or trying to sleep). While he may not be the
most creative lion, he certainly is one of the smartest.
Joziah loves the tactical planning of attacks and
can sometimes be found behind the scenes doing all
the research of the landscape, the enemy and past
maneuvers, his intense focus on projects causing him
many sleepless nights as it is impossible for him to
leave something unfinished, another reason he loves
sleep when he can. A bookworm even as a young cub,
he went to the older lions of the pride to teach him
anything and everything and still tries to learn new
things all the time, more through paper than experie
nce most of the time. Joziah tends to trust his insti
ncts when making a quick decision but would much
rather have a plan before going into a risky situation.
He's skeptical to new things, and can be a little resis
tant to begin with but can be persuaded if around
the right lions. He's friendly, but with his friends and
other warriors only. On the other hand, when it
comes to strangers, he's not at all that warm, but
still has his wit and fiery nature about him, not allow
ing himself to be pushed around or made fun of by
someone he doesn't know. It is a little bit of a chall
enge to completely gain his trust but not impossible.
This lion however hates to appear vulnerable and
has mastered the art of changing the subject when
he is asked a question he is uncomfortable answer
ing or is expressing an emotion that he would rather
others not see. Joziah doesn't take things personally
and is very patient, which is perfect when working
with new warriors who have never been in battle.
Joziah while not incredibly funny himself, usually
delivering one liners with a dead pan expression as
he makes his way past conversations, he does loves
to laugh.Even though at times Joziah give the impr
ession that he would rather claw you in the face and
go back to sleep then let you talk to him but it is
indeed the opposite but be warned,don't interrupt
him when he finally has some rest. (unless you are a
cub, there is no stopping them Joziah finds.)
