Some tips for coloring in/editing the avatar:
- Use the Pencil brush, set it to Round Pixelated with 255 Opacity, 100 Color and 35 Spacing. This should give you a pixel brush.
If you need to erase, set the same settings as the Pencil tool for the regular eraser.
Dithering is heavily used in this piece, it's highly suggested to keep with this setting but it's ok not to
Do
- Editing the lineart is fine
- Editing the shading/higlights is fine
- Lower opacity for highlights if they are too bright (This is usually needed for darker characters)
- Creating your own backgrounds to go with the avatar is supported
- Credit me when using off site
Don't
- Remove my signature, you may move it but it MUST be visible somewhere
- Take credit
- Make fake plumerians
- Claim to own a plumerian when you do not
- Use for your own personal characters; this is NOT supported
I do have two options for background effects; a white outline or a box background. There are some patterns for the box background (Stars, Hearts, Stripes or Checkerboard) and a shadow on the box from the plumerian as an option as well. You are free to create more patterns or edit the box to your liking. Don't forget to add the Line Box Decoration layer in, as this puts a line in front of the avatar if you are using the box.
TO MAKE THE PIXEL YOUR ICON
You will need to make sure that the file that is saved and posted has no BG image under it (If there is white in the picture, then you have done it right). You will need to copy the image location, paste it and look for &format=auto. Change auto to png so that it's &format=png, this will make the image transparent. Simply download the file and re-upload it to an image hosting site and voila! You can use it as your avatar!
