Smidgekins are unlike any
other animal on Earth.
They are omnivores, and can be found
storing food and young in pouches
on their undersides. They travel
in groups, called 'wanders' with
up to five Smidgekins of any age.
Highly intelligent and clever,
they enjoy being around humans.
Named for their habit of
collecting small things and tying
them to themselves with string.

Species Information;
Origins;
Smidges kind of just showed up overnight. No one's sure where from, but they just did. People soon welcomed them into their homes, and Smidges became a loving part of the human family.
Diet;
Smidges will eat pretty much anything other than trash. Being omnivorous, Smidges aren't that picky on average, but there are exceptions to this rule. Some Smidges are purely vegetarian, and others may prefer meat. It depends from Smidge to Smide.
Build;
The average Smidge has a bulky build with stubbier legs than the average mammal. They have long furred tails that end with a tuft of fur. This tuft of fur is used as a lure for predators and for prey when Smidges have been observed in the few wild tribes left. These tails can be prehensile, although some Smidges don't even bother using the tail. Smidges also have rather long necks, and these necks are flexible and they turn their head about much in the same manner as an owl. Along their underside, Smidges posses a pouch, which they use to carry food, young, and/or string. Their large ears have average hearing, although a few Smidges have been found with different ear types. It is not uncommon to see a Smidge with horns, and these horns can be found in many different styles. Smidges have paw pads, and noses much like a dog would have.
Family Style and Growth;
Smidges age in the same way a human does, and measure time in years in a similar manner. Typically a Smidge will only have one mate for life, but sometimes things go wrong and a Smidge will be allowed to leave their mate in extreme cases. Mated pairs can have up to four litters, with twins being rare.
The average size for an adult Smidge is Great Dane, but some have been found that are small dog sized, and some as large as horses! Smidges are typically light weight, and weight on average between 120-160lbs.
