What's A Posta?
Postas originated in the heart of Venice. They were small in numbers at first and were domesticated animals, but grew larger and larger in population, being shipped overseas in exchanged for goods. Now, Postas are used as replacements for mailmen in many areas. There are many that are also kept as pets and others that live in the wild. Even if a posta is wild, they will always have letters or some form of literature that they keep. The letters can either be love letters to other postas, diary entries, newspaper clippings, or other writings from humans.
Not all news that comes through the mail is pleasant, and it takes a strong soul to carry news of loss, or deliver wills, heirlooms... sometimes, even earthly remains. This Posta has carried their job for a long time, poor thing's going grayer by the month! But they soldier on in their grim duty; one that, however unpleasant, is still vital to the world. After all, loss is painful... but at least, they know they can help bring closure to those who might need it most.
For a Halloween event, I didn't want to do... supernatural, I wanted to keep things in a more somber, realistic vein... and, well, this happened! The blue markings are actually just markings, not real tears. (Same with the wings/'gloves' on the feet!) The watch you see is actually broken, stopped permanently at 1:30 (pm, for the record). The urn is not a package, though-- it carries the ashes of this Posta's dearest friend, now gone from this world.
As with all the others, this Posta will be a raffle, ending in 4 days (1:30pm PST, September 14th). To enter, just post your username, Posta's name, and gender. (You are free to add anything except art, unless you intend it as gift art for the winner. This will not do anything to increase/decrease your odds, I just want to leave the opportunity open for people to see if they'll have an actual connection to the character or not xD)
