Deerssert #232

    Deerssert are a mystical, mythological species that appear in history every so often. Sightings grew sparser and sparser through the years, but now they've started to appear more and more. Here at the HQ, a centre dedicated to keeping these creatures from being hunted, we cannot foster them all-- and that's where you come in!

    The simplest way to explain them? Deersserts are deer with a twist! While the specifics vary from deer to deer, they all have a few things in common. Deersserts have muscle, skin, fur and bone, but they are described as tasting like sweets. Their scent lingers so much that hides carry a fragrant scent even after death. Instead of fluffy tails, they have a pouf of whipped cream or ice cream [depending on the deer!] with some manner of fruit on top.

    Size-wise, they're about the size of a border collie, but have been known to grow to the size of a horse in rare cirucmstances. [In even rarer circumstances, they have gotten bigger. This is the largest deerssert known.] Likewise, they are born as small as a full-grown rabbit, and some never progress past this size.

    Based on this pic of a snake I saw. <3
    It has edits to its eyes and mouth, and has a blue forked tongue.

    So, for this one - naming contest! No extras, but you may pretty up if you'd like.
    I like names with meaning, names that are unique, names that show personality, names that fit the design, and sometimes names that are a little ironic. c;
    Code: Select all
    name;
    about the name; (why you chose it, what it means, etc.)
    gender;

    Ends in a week or so - I'll post when it closes.

name; Ethelinda
about the name; Archaic English from Old English
meaning "noble snake." I see deer and snakes as
graceful, noble creatures, so I felt the meaning fits
nicely. The fact that it is a very old, rare name adds
to the novelty and uniqueness. For simplicity, I see
her going by Ethel (meaning "noble"), Linda or Lin.

Name; Cerberus
About the name; The reason I gave him this name, is that I see him being a guardian of the dead due to his eyes looking a bit demonic/evil.

name;Clasp
about the name; well the word its self means to hold on to or the lock on something. as for the reason I choose it well because the design makes it look evil, so the first thought i get is something evil that has me in its clasp, as it trys to kill me or something. Another thing about it is if i get it I will add a nice necklace with a clasp on it XD
gender; Male

I chose these two names because I feel they describe this deersert very well.

The first name, Tallulah, is an Irish name that means "leaping water". When I saw her, I immediately thought that she looked like a dark wave of water in motion.

However, she doesn't look completely like water, most of her coat is dark. This part reminded me of the night, so I chose another name which for with it.

The second name, Amaya, comes from the Arabic language. It means "night rain". This name describes her overall dark appearance and the grey and black coat that looks like a stormy night sky.

name; Hitomi
about the name; Hitomi is a Japanese name meaning pupil in the eye, or beauty. I name her this because I noticed her eyes were like... all pupil. They were so unique and it made me think of names that meant beautiful eyes.
gender; Female

name;
Hebiruka

about the name;
Hebi is the Japanese word for snake, and Iruka is the Japanese word for dolphin. The colors of this deerssert reminded me of Haruka Nanase from Free! and he is represented by the dolphin, which is why I chose to use Iruka in the name.

gender;
Agender, prefers male pronouns
