WHAT IS A MAKOATL?

A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Elanor. To me, Elanor is a blue name, icy, something that ice princesses would be named. This beautiful mako is an ice princess in my mind.

meaning of the lyrics;;
First Two Lines: Elanor believes that if she puts on a false face, become the popular person that her parents and friends want her to be (The Class Clown, or the Beauty Queen) then everything will be alright, she won't have problems in her life once more. But when putting on these flase impressions, she hates being these different personas, and cries in secret. 'And I'll be the Beauty Queen in tears.'
Line Three: When she writes in her journal, she writes about how little she cares for all the petty things in life, such as phones and electronics.
Line Four: She was happy the way she was before, but is acting happy for fear that if she shows her real self, no one will accept her.
Line Five: Elanor goes down to her own place that no one else ever visits (An old abandoned ice rink) and sings, dances, talks to herself, does anything to keep her mind off of her fake personas that she hates so very much.

Alvar has the power to manipulate the elements around her. She's most known for her control over ice and snow, but her control isn't as cut and dry as simply summoning these elements to her will. Using her power drains her energy little by little each time she expels such actions. Although it's rather difficult for her to use up all of her energy at one time, it does happen. The power she possesses also controls her state of being. When changing forms, a flash of white light is apparent that generally fades off as quickly as it appears. There are three forms that she can appear as:

❅Feral: The form that she appears in the most often is that of a feral animal. She resides in this form when she is using limited amounts of magic or none at all. Things such as flurries, covering a small area in ice, or anything more simplistic than such a feat can be done while she is in feral form. The magic she wields is controlled both by her paws and her horn. The horn that extrudes from her forehead is made of ice and translucent because of this. When out of energy, no matter what form she is in, she reverts back to feral form. More often than not, Alvar doesn't use her magic so that she can stay in feral form. She's most comfortable that way and prefers it greatly to her other two forms.
❅Anthro: For some reason, she is usually never seen in this form although she does use it occasionally. Her anthro form is present when she's using magic of average difficulty. In this state she can conjure up things such as a small snow storm, covering a large area in a blanket of ice, or building a simple ice structure. Again, her magic is controlled by her paws and horn in this form.
❅Human: The only form without her defining horn, her human form is present whenever Alvar is using high or copious amounts of magic. Anything that is more difficult or requires more exertion of energy than she can perform as an anthro is done in this form. She is most commonly seen in this form when she's in a heightened emotional state. When she's upset, for example, she loses control of her magic and has no say in what chaos will ensue next. While in this form, she controls her magic by her hands. When casting a spell, her hands are covered in a misty blue and white color that stains her skin and her feet. Her face markings are only present on the left side of her face.

I also know that the quality of the video goes down but my tendinitis flared so I couldn't draw as well, but, nevertheless, enjoy this little extra

The song in of itself is about confusion, and pain, and fear, and not wanting to hurt the ones you love even though what you're doing to protect them will only hurt them in the end. Alvar, though very proud and confident, is easily pushed over the edge. She is wary of her powers, and tries her best to keep calm. Like all people, however, she does lose control. That's why I picked this song. Everyone else picked a song to describe them entirely, but I want to delve deeper and pick a song that described her inner battle. The other mako in the video is my character Stolz
