Wouldn't he be an overo though? I was under the impression med hats were all/mostly white with a single patch on the ears.

True medicine hats are like that but there are some that can have more markings on them. The Medicine Hat jut refers to the markings covering the ears. I had a friend that had one in real life that was a beautiful Chestnut Medicine Hat that ha a lot of brown on his body. I asked about Meds only having little markings an she said that most do, but some can have more.

Pause, I've updated to the latest version of Java and refreshed and done everything I know to do, and it still will not let me even try to edit.

Can I still keep him even though I can't get the background off? Or could I add you an see if you might would take the background off? Maybe it's just my laptop, but I'm not having any problems with my other oekakai.
