The Kiyän species live in small villages hidden away in the forest. For such small creatures who look like animals and are treated like them, they have a well organized society and complex little structures they make entirely out of wood. They are a peaceful species, though each small village has assigned protectors. Fur patterns and colors are decided by the environment, particularly the season in which they are born. A fall born Kiyän will have shades of oranges, yellows, reds. A winter born has the deeper blues and grays. Spring brighter colors, and summer born's tend to end up with darker greens. Winter are hunters, spring tend to be farmers of sorts as well as good wood workers, summer borns become the protectors, and fall born Kiyän help to care for and raise the little ones. There are exceptions as well. The personalities are not set by the environment, but are greatly effected.They are the social butterflies of the Kiyän world, dealing in most social activities. They do not deal in money, their society is based on trade. It is rare for different villages to interact. They like to stay hidden, separate, and peaceful. Family is important to them, and they like to stick together rather than wandering off on their own.
Their body is fur, not skin. So they can have whatever markings you want, just like any normal animal. Females and males don't look very different, though females are more likely to have longer hair. Their standard height is one foot tall. Their tails are long, and strong. They can and do hang from them. They have excellent hearing and okay eyesight.

- You can add your own accessories, clothing. They should be natural things, unless yours is a pet to a human. I'm pretty much open to any edits you want to make.
- I only ask that you don't claim the actual species as yours. And my intention is to eventually have a roleplay.
