I used to have an australian shepard and chocolate lab mix. Coco was the cutest dog ever; begging for food and laying on your feet to warm them at night. If you called, he was there and usually slept in the middle of the house where he can hear my mom and me sleeping at the same time. Coco was fully trianed and folllowed every command without a second thought while enjoying to play with his bone when we threw it. But, one day we noticed that he yelped in pain whenever he jumped on our bed and started to lay down alot, not moving. We took Coco into the vet's office and she dismissed us with a sprianed back and didn't listen when we suggested blood work for his lost weight too. He continued to decrease in health; not eating and laying around, howling with pain whenever he moved. Finally, we instisted with blood work, which she did the next week. The results came back in a day. Lukemia. Coco had to be put down because we couldn't afford to pay for chemo or any other medical care he need. The sadest part? He was only 4 years old. Normally, dogs live from 10-15. He was only 4, with his whole life ahead of him...
