Fireflies

Postby Starflower1234 » Sat Mar 10, 2012 7:03 am

Here come real stars to fill the upper skies,
And here on earth come emulating flies,
That though they never equal stars in size,
(And though they were never really stars at heart)
Achieve at times a very star-like start.
Only, of course, they can't sustain the part.
--Fireflies by Robert Frost

I absolutely loved this poem, and it was so simple that I decided to draw it. I'm surprised it didn't take me very long. But I really like how it turned out, especially the sky and background. I wish the lights were a little better, and I may decide later to edit it and try to do better fireflies. and actually the clouds in the sky were an accident. I was jusing blend to make the dark fade into the light better, and it just turned out like that and I liked it so much I kept it. Well, I hope you like it.
Mods, if you think this isn't ready for Intermediate, move it to Beginners.
Thank you,
Starflower

This is pretty. ^^
You might want to use the blender to slightly blend the lights; I can see the lines, and they look like balls of spikes. (:

If you want, for an extra touch, maybe you can use the airbrush tool to make the fireflies glow. ^^

Thank you for the advice. I'll try doing that for the lights next time I get the chance. Thank you!
