After what seemed liked moons Blossomteller successfully gave birth to six beautiful and healthy kittens. Nudging each one close to her belly to nurse while she gave Acorn a friendly smile. "Thank you my to-be. We shall be fine for now. Go and gather herbs, take a guard with you though please. As for the rest of the tribe. Inform them I have fallen ill and no one must visit. At least until the kits are old enough to be left alone for some time." she meowed softly.

Nodding slightly, Acorn took one last look at his mentor and the kits before exiting the teller's den. listening to his mentor's words Acorn made is way to the share rock and jumped on to it. Mustering up his loud yowl he called for the tribe. "I know it's strange not to see Blossomteller up here, however she has fallen ill. In the mean time no one must visit that way we can keep the disease away from every cat. Talon you shall accompany me as I go out to gather herbs. Everyone else, please return to your normal duties." With his final statement the young tom jumped down from the rock and waited for Talon.

Rise was wondering why he was a To-be of his tribe's Healer. Had she received an omen? It was extremely unusual for a healer to take on an apprentice for fun, and had never happened in the old tales of the Tribe of Rushing Water. The apprentices were going to see the Pool of Shimmering Truth today, where the Healer was rumoured to see the hidden natures of the other cats. It was also a place to see their ancestors, where every cat yearned to see the mighty Teller of Shimmering Dawn who had died to save the tribe from the evil Shadow. Often the tribe would go there to talk to the stars, and Rise was sure Rowan (who went there often) was looking for the treacherous tortoiseshell or Olive and Pine, two cats who had fought against the tribe and were rumoured to have joined the clans.

Rise started to walk with his mentor, letting the thoughts about the tribe drift out his mind as he bounced along with the other to-bes along the ancient stone path. The tunnel widened until the apprentices found themselves in a large stone chamber with a harsh breeze pouring through a small hole in the roof that was usually surrounded by ice. Eyes glistened from rows of ancient cats watching them. A small sand-coloured Mini-Cloud watched him intently, bringing a memory back from when he had seen his dead sister while playing mossball with Tiger. "Is this where my mother will be?" whispered Bird to Dawnchaser. "Yeah, all the dead cats of our tribe live in the Tribe of Endless Hunting." she explained, her eyes glowing eerily as she looked at her niece she had nursed after her sister had died, leaving the kits without a mother.

Hiss of Angry Adder widened her eyes, bouncing around the pool. "Let's go! Come on! Are you ready?" the tabby asked, dancing around her friends. Whisper stared at her, looking startled. Dawnchaser nodded. "Soon we shall meet the ancestors." she muttered. Then she pricked her ears. "Forgot me did you?" A pale brown she-cat with sightless hazel eyes walked towards the grey tabby, her eyes shining in amusement. "You're always welcome Flicker, I just wanted to show these to-bes the lives given for them." Dawnchaser's eyes dulled. "Some of those lives never filled their potential they deserved," North nudged his mother. "As Hiss said, let's go!" his mother purred and touched her muzzle to the pool, closing her eyes. The to-bes copied her, with Hiss dipping her tail into the shallows before jumping back.

Flower opened her eyes, blinking as she found herself in the same place where she had just been. The other to-bes were asleep, and a ghostly light appeared through the roof tunnel. Hundreds of cats, some see through like a sheet of thin ice, and some looking vivid with fresh scars, sat around the walls. Understanding cats that were wise beyond their moons let her be in the presence of them, "Flower, we have awaited your arrival," they whispered. The fur along her spine prickled with curiosity. Nothing moved for what felt like nine lives and a heartbeat, before clouds started to drift in and the cats parted, to show a scarred tortoiseshell with unreadable green eyes. Flower suddenly saw a flash, and two cats facing off in a cave.

The same tortoiseshell facing Flower snarled as a grey and white tabby marched forward, a few scratches on her flanks. Both sides breathed deeply, worrying for their dead and the lives that could be claimed if one side one against the others. A small grey tabby who was a To-be at that time - Dawnchaser! - shied away, looking frightened. She was flanked by a slightly bigger brown tabby who must have been Branch That Sways During Day, judging by the way she looked so much like Bird, and further back with the To-bes (Birch, Fox, Silver, Grass, Bark, Owl and Flicker) was Wolf and Spider, and both cats looked defeated. This was the battle for a new dawn or the last dusk, described in many tales and perspectives by all the tribe cats. The more scarred battle-hungry side was represented by the tortoiseshell she noticed, and at once knew what this was.

Flower jumped out of the vision Shadow had tried to show her and hissed, arching her back and limping backwards. "You were a traitor! Go back to the Tribe of Everlasting Hunger," the she-cat snapped in an attempt to possibly scare her away, though she failed miserably. "Silver Petal of Flower, Listen. Your spirit yearns to be further then the scent marks of the tribe of Shimmering Dawn, and your destiny lies out there," the look of mistrust was replaced hesitantly by confusion in Flower's eyes.
"How could I go out there? I'm not as strong as Alder, or as confident as Iris," the older to-be meowed sadly. All Shadow did was tilt her head towards her tribemates. "The tribe of Shimmering Dawn had no allies to help them," the tortoiseshell hissed, her fur bristling.
"We have no enemies either," Flower pointed out. "Aside from you," she said angrily. "Its like hunt and battle. You hunt for food, and you battle for territory or survival. You must rely on both to keep strong, or none of you will survive. Your borders may hold the key to the future," the spirit laughed, before growing serious. The other cats at the edges of her vision faded away and her living clanmates began to stir, and she woke up immediately.

Flower stirred, her tail lashing as she began to awake, before she opened her yellow eyes wide. "Dawnchaser! We need to make new borders and allies!" she explained, her fur bristling. Dawnchaser nodded sleepily. "Send out the patrols immediately," the grey she-cat called to Flicker, grooming her fur quickly."Tell me more," she hissed. The other to-bes followed Flicker curiously. Tiger and Bird shared a smile, stars in their eyes, while Alder silently strolled along, closed to the conversation.

ixxx▬the tribe of howling skies resides in yellowstone national park, in the recesses of montana and wyoming, named as such for the shadow-like wolves who howl, unseen, in the dark. the founder and healer of the howling skies is not known as such; the mage, rather, is particular with those who join the ranks of the howling skies. some are seen as blessed by the gods; those with unusual traits are revered as being special. different traits are viewed as providing different benefits, as listed below.
ixxx▬the mage themself will always be blessed; blessed traits include polydactylism, which is believed to provide more dexterity in healing, heterochromia, which is believed to allow the mage to see both the star's wishes and those back on earth, curled ears, which are believed to allow the mage to better hear their ancestors, small stature, which is believed to give one prowess in stealth and hunting, and curled fur, which is believed to be given by the ancestors to provide insulation and prowess in swimming. if a cat displays more than one of these traits, they will likely become the next mage, for if one is doubly blessed, then surely the ancestors see something special in them.
ixxx▬to convene with their ancestors, the mage will travel to a wolf's den, known as the mooncave; the wolf residing there is old, grizzled and battle-worn with torn ears and a scarred muzzle. his former reign is no more, though, for he was bested by one younger than him, forced from his pack and banished to live among the cave just outside of the tribe of howling skies' camp. to speak with the dead, the mage must always bring a piece of prey as an offering for the wolf; in fact, once a moon, a hunter or a sentinel is selected to feed the wolf. when fed, the wolf seems to ward off other packs, but when not offered a peace offering, the elder wolf does not prevent other wolves from moving into the area. unless the elder wolf receives one piece of prey, a single cat from the tribe will be killed by wolves every moon until he is fed again.
ixxx▬some believe it to be a curse, but others a blessing, for the wolf protects as long as he is treated kindly.
ixxx▬pelt color, too, is highly revered in the tribe of howling skies; particularly somali cats and silver-ticked tabbies, as well as pointed felines. somalis and ticked tabbies are seen important for their resemblance to the wolves that the tribe is named for, with their silvery-moon pelts and their lithe muscle lying underneath. point cats are considered special for their resemblance to the mighty elk that roam the state park; the massive deer-beasts are strong, often escaping the grasp of even wolves.
ixxx▬those who are considered blessed or given traits listed above eat before those without said traits (excluding, of course, mothers, kits, and elders).
ixxx▬elders are considered extremely important within the tribe; they form the council, the advisors of the mage; they are fed among the mothers and kits. respect comes highly for these older felines; pupils answer to their will without argument, cleaning bedding and grooming those older than them without complaint. when an older declares his or herself unable to continue on, they are met with a brave ending; they travel to the mooncave, sacrificing themself to the elder wolf, who is satiated for two moons.
ixxx▬the tribe cats themselves reside on the edge of a massive gorge in a series of caverns; the stone walls rise high, and a jagged crevice in the rock is where tribe meetings convene, where new members are introduced and where the mage will inform their tribe of important decisions, with the rushing water as a backdrop. though many have tried (and, albeit, failed) to exit the cave through the spiked hole, the only safe passage is through the sky tunnel where the gleam of sunlight or the twinkling of stars greets cats as they make their way to the fresh air.
ixxx▬any cat would be a fool to try and cross the river by swimming, for it's rushing currents would ensnare even the strongest of felines. rather, a massive sequoia tree, long since fallen by the elements, provides a natural bridge to cross the river, allowing the cats to navigate their rather large territory.
ixxx▬with such a huge area to cover, predators are frequently crossed paths with by the tribe; from grizzlies to golden eagles to humans, the tribe cats must be wary as they navigate the park. an ornery elk mother may attempt to frighten a cat away with sharp hooves, or a moose may become irritated with their presence and use their massive rack of antlers to banish the felines. foxes and lynxes, coyotes and cougars, nothing here will pass up an easy meal.
ixxx▬despite the dangers of being trampled or eaten, prey is abundant in the territory; pikas run rampant, as do birds and ermine alike. salmon, the migratory fish, are plentiful here, and they are easy prey because of their numbers.
ixxx▬the tribe of howling skies is seen much like their wolf counterparts; isolated and wary, protective and aggressive, wise and strong.

origins. located along the northern coast of scotland, the tribe of northern winds is said to have descended from the coldest regions in the world. legend states that the first teller, called the maester, was born into luxury, but turned from grace. rejected from his family for crimes against them, including the murder of his elder brother in order to try and gain favor from his parents, the first maester left home to travel. ultimately, he found himself a home in the cold regions along the coast of scotland, where surely no one he knew would find him. the stars, in turn, granted him a new chance at life. if he started a tribe and took in the broken and disenfranchised to give them a food and home, then he would be forgiven. and so the tribe of northern winds rose to the stars for their second chance at redemption and a better life.

temperament. the cats of the tribe of northern winds are viewed by outsiders as aloof, cold, and shallow. some say that the northern winds made their hearts cold and their claws like ice, though many argue that the cats were arrogant and rude before their travels took them north. the cats are often seen as lawbreakers and criminals, sent to the edge of the perceived world by their ancestors as their final chance, or they will never find peace after life. still, in-fighting is not a rare occurrence, and paranoia runs high in the tribe. secrets serve as currency, and cats often lie about their pasts. it is not rare that a cat was sent to the tribe because they harmed an innocent, or for some other crime. while many decide to turn over a new leaf and try to better his or herself to gain favor with the ancestors or achieve a higher rank in the tribe, the tribe is noted to be filled with chaos, betrayal, and backstabbing. it is possible that a cat was sent to the tribe by accident or for their own safety, but often secrets lurk underneath the surface, and the tribe is based heavily in politics and unconventional methods of obtaining favor with others in order to survive.

territory. seasons in the tribe are marked by a bitter winter, a chilled summer, and seasons in-between. an abandoned human town marks the camp of the tribe, and the territory of the tribe stretches along the coastline. to the north, a cliff drops off into the ocean, and the rest of the territory consists of open land with rolling hills, more beach, and several stretches of thicker grassland. the main activity of the camp takes place in an abandoned castle, though several other outlying builds mark dens for storage of prey and shelter from heavy rain. prey for the tribe includes rabbits, hares, voles, fish, and birds. dangers towards the tribe include cliffs, badgers, wildcats, and kits are in danger from eagles, in particular.

ranks.
maester the healer and leader of the tribe, the maester has a special connection with the ancestors. the maester has the ability to designate the leadership positions, heals the tribe, helps oversee training of cadets, and approves all new cats into the tribe. the maester knows the history of all cats in the tribe, and holds the burden of deciding if a cat is loyal to the tribe and deserves a second chance.
steward the steward is selected by the maester from a young age, when they are still a kit. until the maester retires or dies, the steward learns how to manage the tribe and take care of medicine. when selected, the steward is often tasked with being the first to clear a new cat into the tribe. they are also tasked with the care of the nurses and their kits, so that they have a deep connection with the young generation of the tribe.
sword the head hunter of the tribe, tasked with organizing all hunters, overseeing the training of hunting cadets, and ensuring that the tribe is properly fed. they are a trusted member of the maester and is appointed by the maester.
shield the head guard of the tribe, tasked with ensuring that the camp is protected at all times, and that hunters have guards to protect them while hunting.

lect other animals for the cats to outsmart, outfight, or outrun in their trials, and they last a total of three moons. because of this, many subordinates
start their trials young, and end at the proper age. the amazonian cats also live among trees, hardly ever touching the ground. it's considered bad luck
to be on the ground for too long, and there are many dangers on it. the cats often decorate themselves with things that represent their kills; teeth, scales,
claws, fur, etc that are hung loosely around a twine each cat has on their neck.

The slope wasn’t that steep, for the area, maybe around a 25% incline, and with flat rocks dotting the area, once Corrie reached a patch of them, if he planned his route, he could easily jump up a few metres without having to touch the dirty ground at all.
xxxxHe knew what this rain meant for the cwm.
xxxxThe cwm caught all the rain and grew large from it. And as the cwm was where his mentor had taught him that the tribe of Endless Hunting spoke to cats around here, it made sense that they were deliberately filling the cwm. That when the cwm was full, that meant they were more fully there in spirit. It wasn’t that they wouldn’t talk when it was lower - of course they would. How could they claim benevolence if they weren’t willing to talk outside painful weather?
xxxxBut if you had a large request, Corrie was sure that going when the tribe of Endless Hunting were calling for his attention was the best plan. If he went otherwise, when they didn’t want him there, they might not want to grant such a large request.
xxxxAnd of course, the tribe of Endless Hunting were clearly active here. They were always filling their spirits from above into the cwm. It was hardly like he’d ever be restrained in when he wanted to go to it. The ancestors were very present here, always wanting to be heard. Corrie had heard that the last remaining tribe had once lived not far from here, to the South-West, and if that were true, he could see why - with so much presence from the tribe of Endless Hunting, if only one area could still host a tribe, of course it had to be here. Where else had more..?
xxxxThe last section of the slope was a smooth concave shape, flattening out until a long flat peak was reached, joining up to a semi-circular, sheer rocky rim around the cwm. One section of the rim towered above, forming a clear mountain peak as a part of the ridge at the Northern Edge of the territory.
xxxxThe water was nearly black, looking almost surreal.
xxxxExactly how the ancestors seemed to want it.
xxxxThe last few steps had to be done slowly. Not because of any inherant meaning, or due to worrying about proper respect, but purely because of the sheer sense of awe which ran along a cat’s back as a shiver when they came this close to the cwm.

Restarted tribe of rising dawn. I kept Vine, Gale, Mint, Peak, and Thrift

tribe of Hurricane moors is on a rocky moor in Germany that over looks a deep ravine. The ravine can only be crossed by a giant ancient fallen maple, the bark and leaves completely ripped away. Other then that its a straight drop to certain death. Across the ravine is a picture perfect lake.
Hurricane Rains’s camp is a site, its located just at the edge of the rocky hills. The camp is perfect for protecting young kits. The top of the waterfall is the healers den and the den at the bottom of the waterfall is the healer to-be den. The hole in the middle of camp is where prey is sorted, the prey sorters watches the prey day and night; bramble patches mixed with bracken and holly bush branches cover the prey pile when it starts rain or snowing, (which is very common) if it gets too bad its dragged into the healer to-bes den (which is very extensive despite its looks).
The queens den is located at the top of the ledge in the hole in the rocky wall, they picked this den because of the safeness of the ledge. Enemy cars can easily be pushed off the ledge and twist their necks, Hurricane moors cats have too narrow paws to be pushed off but if they are pushed off they have a higher chance of not twisting their necks. The left den under the ledge is the elders den, it was highly debated whether or not to switch this den with the queens den but it was decided against. The prey-hunters + guards + prey-sorters den is the right den under the ledge and the mountain-laurel bush is the apprentices den; both dens bigger than they look.

Hurricane moors are known for their trials; The Hurricane trial, The Herbal trial, and the Prey sorter trial.

The Hurricane trial is the trial for the to-bes turning to full prey-hunter/guard. The to-bes will be lead to the perfect river, they will be left to swim across the lake. The parents, if any, the mentor, and their healers will wait for the to-bes to cross. Either the to-be with drown and be dragged out by their mentor or they will pass. In some cases, apprentices just have to do the normal assessments because of a physical or mental problem like twisted paws or other problems. If any to-be is found out to have gotten help they must wait 3 more moons until they will take the test again, if they cheat again they will be forced to survive 5 moons by themselves. If they come back they will have the lowest respect in their respective rank.

The Herbal trial is the trial for the healers and healer to-be. It's taken every 12 moons to test the knowledge and reliability of their herbal carers, so that cats don’t die due to not knowing how to treat them. Sometimes it's taken early because of a death of a patient or accusations of herbal idioteces in the practices of the healer.

The Prey sorter trial is the trial for prey sorters and their to-bes. Its taken everytime newleaf is reached or when they take a to-be or another to-be. The prey sorters will be judged on their ability to pass the correct amount to everyone fairly. The to-bes to full prey sorters will be made to deal with a full moon of passing out prey themselves, if they mess up they will wait 1 moon until they can do it again. In that time they will receive intense training.

They are known to be strict but loving. They are also loose on mates rules; Other cats in other tribes are also acceptable as normal mates, unless the prey-hunter/prey-sorter/guard has a to-be.

They are known for having narrow paws and long claws, they also are known for having webbed paws.
