Baxter is your average happy-go-lucky mutt. He's got a big heart and is eager to please and help others. These traits make him a very loyal subordinate, as he is always working to satisfy his higher-ups. He always puts all of his energy towards the task he's designated, so Baxter earns an A for effort. Although, he isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, so there are times where he'll misinterpret directions and can sometimes cause damages. He's a ball of energy and excitement and it's almost impossible for one to be unhappy around him. His aura radiates genuine happiness and it tends to rub off on those he spends time around. Baxter has a bit of trouble taking things seriously, but he still tries to be there for other dogs in times of need. Overall, Baxter is a naturally likable fellow with a positive vibe and genuine intentions, but he seems to be lacking a bit in brains.

Baxter was born stray and lived that way well into his first year. He and his sole surviving sister were attached at the hip, foraging and surviving together off of whatever they could find. Inevitably, humans eventually caught up to them and took both Baxter and his sister to a rescue. While Baxter was deemed good for adoption, his shy, people-aggressive littermate didn't make the cut. They were living in separate wings of the rescue facility when the war broke out. He searched tirelessly through the property, but he was unable to find his littermate. Baxter is unsure of what happened to her, but he holds hopes that she's still alive and somewhere safe. It's an unlikely thought, but he prefers to stay positive about the whole situation.

♚ history; ella grew up with her brother ace.
they were taken from the pet store as pups. but,
ella's owners didn't care for her properly.
they would leave ella outside in the cold,
forget to feed her or even brush her.
the same goes with her brother. the only time
they got attention was when their owners
children came over.
the children would play with the two dogs,
walk them, feed them and brush them. the
two dogs loved the children, and the children
loved the dogs back. but, when their owners
didn't return from work and the children didn't come
home from school, the two were a bit concerned. they
both decided to wait it out. after many days of waiting
and still no sign of their humans, they knew something
was very wrong. over the few days, the dogs had
experienced gunshots, screams and cries, though
they stayed put, still hopeful. but, now they were
starting to grow hungry and thirsty. the dogs left
their beloved home and walked onto the battle
field. there were humans, lots of them. they
were shouting and they had guns and knives.
trees were burnt down, and the whole sight was
horrific. ella and ace ran away as fast as their
legs could carry them. they were looking for
something, somewhere to go. after weeks
of searching, they found the pack. both of them
were accepted, and ella became the beta after
a while of finding the pack. she enjoys
her new lifestyle and feels loved and
respected.

dog, she is an adrenaline junkie. though,
she isn't very self confident and doubts
most of her decisions. ella can be snobby
when it comes to other dogs. she tries to
hide it, but ella dislikes mutts (mixed breeds).
though, if she has a love interest for a mixed
dog, she'll get over it. she is calm and
patient, and doesn't mind waiting for things
to happen. ella is very understanding and
she's a great listener. ella can be over
protective sometimes, and refuses
to let things go most of the
time. ella is very trustworthy and
will always be loyal to the pack.

she hates them both though, and
doesn't see herself as special. when
she was a pup, she got made fun of
for having a blue and a yellow eye. she
did have a collar, but it was worn down
over the years and it eventually broke.

Despite the fact that Avalon's past has hardened her, she still retains an air of elegance and poise. When one speaks to her, her pampered roots are apparent. Avalon is calm, collected, and handles pressure well, which makes her a great healer. She's also extremely patient, which is a blessing when she's dealing with a young apprentice. She's intelligent and devoted, willing to go to great lengths to achieve what she desires. She's exceedingly respectful and reliable, so if you make a promise with her, be confident that she'll uphold her end of the bargain. Avalon is serious to the point that she comes off as cold and stoic. This can make her seem rude and unapproachable, so it's not uncommon for her to be lacking in terms of relations. She does have a heart, but it's definitely hardened since the war broke out. Underneath it all, Avalon does have feelings and the ability to care, she's just become accustom to keeping a stiff upper lip. Her ability to feel and soften up becomes apparent when she's around pups and young dogs. Avalon has always liked the thought of being a mother.

Avalon was born to a wealthy pair of dog breeders in New York. Unlike her siblings, she was never sold off to a different owner, so she was lucky enough to stay with her mother and father for the first year of her life. Avalon was being raised to perform as a show dog; she truly was living the good life. In fact, everything seemed pretty much perfect until she was about a year and a half.
Out of nowhere, nuclear war erupted. Their high-rise apartment, their lives were completely destroyed. Her owners were ultimately killed in the battle and Avalon was separated from her parents in the mayhem. To this day she still doesn't know what became of them. While she was dodging mushroom clouds and hiding out, Avalon was still a dainty princess who was terrified and completely out of her element. She spent the majority of her time hoping that the war would end, but it never seemed to. After spending what felt like years in this armageddon, Avalon became emotionally cold and reclusive. She had lost everything that ever mattered to her (as well as some of her humanity), so it was sort of expected. Avalon does have a heart and feelings, but war has hardened her into a statuesque dog who expresses very little emotion.

and something that i forgot to place in the shaman's description:
they, the shaman and their apprentice, are not allowed to have
mates and it is considered forbidden. im just saying if twig.'s ch
aracter, avalon, will have a love interest. -- it can happen lol
