Unfortunately the others did not make it past the third day. her mother had resided deep within the foresty area miles from an old apartment building, where she later abandoned her only pup due to guilt and depression. ophelia's odds of surviving were little to none. With her mother gone, there was no way she could receive the proper care. after two whole days a stranger passing through the forest and stopped to help the newborn pup. the stranger carried ophelia to the abandoned apartment building and simply left her on the doorstep. ophelia to this day resides in the hotel, along the side of the canines who so mercifully raised her.

cyrus couldn't remember a time he wasn't living in the junk yard. his mother lived there alongside a group of dogs, where she met his father. after cyrus was around the age of two years, his mother and father decided food was too scarce and left. cyrus, quite comfortable where he had been living all his life, decided to stay. it wasn't long until her found himself barking orders and arranging groups of hunters to hunt for the small group. he took on the responsibility of leading the group, and soon fell head over paws for a shepherd named gwen. after finding out they were expecting pups, gwen became extremely ill. she died after birthing a sickly litter of four pups. some of the more maternal dogs in the group helped cyrus to take care of the pups while he was busy,
but there was only so much they could do. out of the four, only one survived. cyrus named her piper, and became extremely protective of her. she was the only thing he had left of gwen. cyrus has let go of gwen and slowly, but surely, is learning to trust again.

im not too picky on the breeds. I basically just pointed out that its more realistic for the dogs to be crossbreeds, but if a dog is purebred I dont really mind. Sorry if that caused any confusion
