Once upon a time there was a storm in a far-away clan. The storm was
vicious and caused a huge flood. In the flood a mother and 6 kits were
washed away. Half of the litter was the mothers, the other half her best
friends. The mother who was washed away managed to collect the kits
and drag them to the shore. Weak and tired she was not strong enough to
make it and was sucked back into the water, never to be seen again. The
Clan mourned the loss of the seven cats but there was nothing they, could
do. The 6 kits and the deceased mother were forgotten.

_Kit, TigerKit, RedKit, CloudKit, TinyKit and DoveKit are the children of
the kind __. A fox who stumbled upon the kits not long after loosing her
own offspring. She took them in and raised them as her own. Now adults
the cats have stayed with their aging mother with only the faintest
memories of their past lives. This is where the story continues.
