Our bodies can change into the forms of great beasts in the blink of an eye. We can spout fire and ice and poison from our jaws. We can fly the skies on wings bigger than any bird's. We can build, and fight, and hunt, and destroy.
We are dragon shifters.
Join the dragon shifters: humans that can morph themselves into dragons of all colors and sizes. They live in a land of fantastical creatures and castles and kings. They fight with swords and daggers, claws and fangs. They live in a society much like that of the Medieval Ages- if, of course, those people had the ability to form their bodies into great winged reptilians.

Location:
The city where this roleplay takes place is called Rhulc. It's made of marble and carved into the side of a great fjord, with water far below. It's an imaginary land. The surrounding area is mostly woodland and moors, with the ocean to the south. The terrain is rocky and there are mountains to the north. The climate ranges from cold winters to hot summers. The sky is often blue with few clouds in the sky.
Other creatures:
Many other magical creatures live in this land. Here are some (but there are many more!): Unicorns, pegasi, gryphons, sea serpents, phoenixes, faeries, etc.
Enemies/threats: Dangerous magical creatures (sea serpents, dark faeries), orcs, trolls, dark elves
Energy Keepers: These are high-ranking officials that serve as a council to the current prince. They wear different colored orbs around their necks on thick white cloth. They are chosen by the prince and other energy keepers for being skilled at their art. There are twelve energy keepers (Character name, and user's name in brackets):

- The King of the dark elves and leader in the war, King Tyrog. A powerful sorcerer and rumored necromancer
- Zero- a traitor of the shifters. She came from the shifter city Rhulc, but chose to join the dark elves after a tragic event changed her life. She is recognizable by her metal left hand- which appears in both her dragon and human forms.
- Aeron, half dark elf, half shifter. Carries the orb of the last, now deceased, Moon Keeper.

- You may have as many characters as you want; if you have more than three, they may not all be the same gender.
- You may not play any kings/queens/princes/princesses without permission from me. The highest rank you may make your character is a lord/lady, unless you clear it with me
- Your characters' dragon form has these choices of breath weapons: Fire, Ice/Frost, Poison gas, Shadow fire (black fire, burns like ice), Acid, Lightning/Electricity, or none
- No powerplaying. You may not unfairly kill other characters
- Be fair
- No arguing on the form
- All normal rules (Tess' rules) apply
Character rules:
- Dragon forms don't have to have a breath power and don't have to have wings
- Humans can own any sort of animal or magical animal; but the pets can't be super powerful
- Humans can have magic and know spells, but can't be all powerful
- Humans can't be mutated (no wings, feathers, horns, etc.)
- Dragons can look however desired
- Characters may be related, including with other people's characters (you must ask permission first, though)
- You may have dark elves and elves as characters
- You are allowed to play extra characters (such as dark elves, other dragon shifters, magical creatures) for short periods of time, like if you wanted to have an encounter with dark elves or another dragon shifter, but they may not be permanent characters

CURRENT PLOT: Dark elves are a big threat to the dragon shifters. They hunt them for their dragon products; scales, teeth, horns, etc. They have moved closer to the city, too; they are becoming more of a nuisance, injuring or killing any who venture along and fall into an ambush. The dragon shifters of the city are growing nervous.They are basically at war with the dark elves. Crime is beginning to run rampant in the lower-class areas, but spreading throughout the city.
It is rumored that the dark elf King is trying to find a way to control a person's very life force, thus controlling them- mind control, in a way. If he succeeds, he could destroy the shifters by turning their own fellow dragons against them.
There is also political chaos among the keepers; many keepers are missing, and new ones are arising, but shifters are fighting one another for the position. Assassins lurk always in the shadows.
