Gold Crown Academy is an arts school located in Gold Crown
town, mostly renown world-wide for its ballet program. It has
a range of different arts subjects offered; drama, music, scul
pturing, fencing, woodwork. All students live on campus dorm
itries and are encouraged to mingle with students of all arts.
However, Gold Crown town is more than just a little town. Ra
ther, it is a place where stories and reality intermingle, and is
surrounded on all sides by a large wall with fives gates. Noone
is able to leave or enter the town because its only for the story.
Everyone in the town is a character from the book,The Prince &
the Raven all controlled by Drosselmeyer, the story teller.

a tale of a swan, a prince, a knight, a lost girl, a raven, & a nutcracker
Once upon a time, there was a young prince who had the biggest heart for loving all things in the land,
he would risk his life to protect those he loved no matter what. Until one day, Rothbart the Raven spread darkness
across the land with his magic and having his murder of ravens steal people's hearts from across the land. Prince
Siegfred fought alongside his closest ally, the Knight until they could no longer go on. Rothbart appeared to destroy
the Prince whilst he was weary but alas the Knight shielded him and was torn in half. As a last resort the Prince decided
to use forbidden magic to seal Rothbart away, however as a sacrifice, his heart was shattered.

Many years have passed, and because of a spell the great magician, Drosselmeyer cast all the characters in the book have
been reincarnated as people living at Gold Crown Town. However, the magic spell sealing Rothbart away is slowly coming
undone as his minion in this world, Odile collects the hearts of people filled with anguish and despair as sacrifices to unseal
the curse. Drosselmeyer, in an attempt to stop Rothbart has transformed a duckling into a human to help collect the shards
of Prince Siegfred's heart whilst attending Gold Crown Academy.

The coolness of the early morning was deceptive; the sun had barely risen and the air was always cooler, perfect and ideal temperature for a duckling like Fenel. Everything was quiet aside from the sounds of the natural landscape but then again it was an eerie silence. The lake lay without a ripple in the silver-blue water as if time itself had been frozen. From the tall pines and lake reeds around the edge came not a sound, no movement of branches, no birds calling. Her secret place, the lake where no one would see her. Every morning Fenella went for swim in the lake, sometimes she would take her pendant off and sometimes she would keep it on. She missed the coolness of water against her feathers every morning but the only difference now being she was a human, temporarily. It had merely been a few days since Drosselmeyer had transformed her, it was hard adapting to her human form she had always been a duck. Walking out from the waters of the lake, she broke into a sequence of expressive ballet steps before leaping in the air with poise. But at least she could dance like a human now. She would never forget the day she saw the mysterious boy dancing in front of the lake, her inspiration. Fenel moved like water transformed by the silent music, flowing in graceful arcs, limbs in constant motion before coming to a stop. The sound of trees moving in the wind to create a rustling applause. "I should probably get ready for my first day" she murmured to herself before running barefoot to the academy dormitories, hopefully she wouldn't be questioned about why she was soaking wet it would be a bad first impression.

To be attending Gold Crown Academy under a mysterious scholarship was pretty dodgy but they accepted her anyways, so she couldn't screw up now by being late on her first day. Almost sliding past her allocated ballet class managed to make it before the teacher did. She felt the piercing gaze of other girls in her class staring at her and nothing else would intimidate her more. Placing her practice bag in one corner she began stretching, despite not knowing what humans did to stretch she copied what others were doing. Although she had watched the mysterious Prince practice by the lake all the time, Fenella had no idea what each step was called, how to properly execute them. Biting her lip she went up to a girl who seemed nice enough to inform her, "Um...hello my name is Fenella, I'm new here. I don't exactly know the names of steps" it would be astonishing to hear that someone who had received a ballet scholarship at the school had no knowledge of ballet itself, "What? You, a person who has no knowledge of ballet received a scholarship and was put in the advanced class? What is this school thinking." wincing in pain from the emotional damage that was done from the harsh words, she was left standing there like an idiot. Advanced class? Why was she in this class it wasn't for her, she had absolutely no idea what to do when practice began. "Good morning everyone!! Today will be a joint lesson with the boys so they will be arriving any second now. But before that we have a new student who will be joining us, Fenella Cygnet!" Fenella's eyes lit up as she stood beside the teacher, looking at the group of girls she was met with nothing but looks of scorn and disdain. "You can enter now boys. Everyone please get into practice formation in rows!"

Today started off as the usual day... Mariko would get up, get ready for school, practice a little, deal with the Raven's harshness, and set off for her ballet class--pretty much the only thing that kept her motivated throughout the day.
This was pretty much her life. And she was trying to accept that--telling herself that there was no way anything would change the way that she lived right now--going to dance class and doing what the Raven told her would always be the only two things with any significance in her life...
But when she finished getting changed into her leotard and putting her hair up before entering the dance studio today, she didn't expect anything that would happen beyond this point.
At first, it started off normal... Girls in her dance class would gather around her and fawn over her "greatness" while trying to pry some innocent-sounding information out of her, and she'd reply with not much emotion in her tone.

"Mariko, you look gorgeous today--as usual!~"
"Yes... Thank you for the compliment."
"Mariko, have you and Shigure been practicing together? You're both so coordinated when dancing together!"
"Mariko, don't your feet hurt after all that dancing?!"
"When you're passionate about what you do, you get used to the pain that comes with it."
"Mariko, you're probably the coolest girl in this entire school!"

... And then they all stopped to look up at the new girl, looks on their faces portraying the lack of sympathy they had towards her.
Fenella, right?... Mariko thought she overheard her talking to one of the girls before said girl came over and began fawning over her.
Right now, Mariko was probably the only girl in the room whose expression remained neutral--no positive or negative emotions reflected on her face. And that expression didn't noticeably change when she stood up to get into position as directed by the teacher.
