Long, long ago, there was a great kingdom that harbored many different animals of shapes and sizes. The kingdom once was called Samavia. The king and queen, who were humans, tried their best to keep the kingdom prosperous and healthy. They even succeeded for over five decades. After their son and daughter took over, everything went dark. The son, being younger and thus less powerful, grew angry at his position and cast his sister out. She was sent to exile and was never seen again. The brother took hold of the kingdom with an iron grip, punishing those who could not pay taxes, those who broke even the smallest rule, those who were usually the noble and strong. Humans and the animals alike shrunk away from him whenever he looked at them. By the end of his tenth year ruling, he was no longer just human. By the power of his evil nature and the powers of the grudging magical animals, he had turned into something more like a living shadow. Using this to his advantage, he created more of these disasters, which is why they are everywhere now. He still lives on, although the people of the old kingdom have defeated him for the moment. He waits for the right time while this crumbling kingdom falls.
In this roleplay, you can be anything from a human with powers to a fire-breathing dragon. Anything that makes you happy. If you are a human, though, your powers may not be anything too over the top. You can be on the evil king' s side, or on the rebel's side.
Kingdom rules (for only the king's minions. Also encouraged to break ;3)
1. Do not associate with rebels or anyone who may be associated with them.
2. All must come before the king if they are in need of anything, be it new lodging or making plans for a relationship.
3. Never, ever defy your king. If you do, you shall be caught, tried, and thrown into prison until further decision.
4. Animals must obey humans, for they are inferior and shall be treated like property.
