He paused for a moment before expressing again, "You should be careful with your candles." It soon glanced towards the twins for a moment before returning his gaze.

Amara nodded in understanding. "Got it. It depends if you're looking for something elaborate or simple. Now... we could go with the typical dozen red and white roses, or red, yellow and pink tulips as a different, but still simple arrangement. But if you're looking to dazzle them, then I'd recommend the stargazer lilies - deep pink with white accents would be a good colour, plus white roses to soften the bouquet. Also, a few deep red carnations as some filler, if you want that." she suggested, and as she spoke the skeletal squirrels had been darting around the store, collecting up the flowers Amara had suggested, until they'd formed a couple of different arrangements.
When they hopped back up onto the counter, Amara asked, "What do you think?"

Eventually, realising that he was going to have to go and get some food - although he did seriously consider whether or not he even wanted to go out - Rhett got up from his seat, and he went to get himself ready for going outside. He pulled on a leather jacket, and a pair of shoes, then made sure he had his wallet, phone and apartment keys, before leaving the apartment. It didn't even really feel like it was 'his' apartment - he was being forced to live there, after all.
Rhett stepped outside, tensing up as he did so. He really hoped he wouldn't run into anyone and have to talk to any more people than necessary.

Sabelina stared between the bouqet options, feeling unsure. At last, she decided to take the other woman's suggestion for 'dazzling' and said, "The stargazer lilies sound perfect, along with the roses and carnations you mentioned. Do you happen to have any sort of hanging decorations or bouqets? Something we could drape around a window sill and maybe from the light fixture?" She paused, waiting for the answer and watching the strange squirrels. She wanted to ask about them, but was not sure if that would be considered rude.

Nicolai laughed lightly at Zeek's warning. "You don't need to be so concerned about me, you worrywart. I'm very responsible despite what you may think, and besides, I'm practically immortal anyway. A few burn marks might just add a roguish charm to my looks, even though it's hard to improve upon perfection."

He followed its gaze to the children who were still standing in the shop, and wondered if they were going to approach them for some reason. Still watching them out of the corner of his eye, he remarked, "And no, I find the rain soothing."

She grinned, pleased that the customer liked the bouquet with the stargazer lilies. She really prided herself on suggesting the most suitable and complimentary arrangements. "Very well." she said, and she took the chosen bouquet from the skeletal squirrel. Amara took a few moments to think about the other request, and she quickly came up with a suggestion. "Oh! Vines of wisteria would be really nice," she gestured to a section of the shop floor where colourful wisteria vines seemed to spill out of their display. "We do also have some cherry blossom vines, although they're fake - but certainly much easier to care for and still look great."

Sabelina took a moment to consider, remembering the sweet smell of wisteria in her grandmother's backyard the few times she was able to visit growing up. "I think wisteria would be great. The smell will really add to the atmosphere." She didn't need to worry too much about the care, since they would only be needed for one night, though she figured she might take some clippings home for herself after the event. She paused for a moment, watching the squirrels, until her curiosity got the better of her. "I don't mean to pry or anything," she said hesitantly. "But...what's up with the squirrels? I've never seen anything like them before." She stopped speaking for a millisecond before she rushed on awkwardly with, "You don't have to tell me of course, and I'm sorry if that's rude. I'm just curious."

They soon sat back down as the feline joined beside them, gradually they began picking up the pieces of the citrus fruit and began eating them, once they'd finish doing this they turned to the cat again, gently ruffling the creature's fur before getting onto their feet once again and wandering around the apartment "What now Opal?"

"What made you think I'm worried about you?" He asked plainly before continuing "I apologise if that came off harshly, I meant that I know and understand that you're responsible, I was just reminding you in case something were to happen." it stated before reaching over and gently ruffling his companions hair playfully. "There. Now you don't look so formal." a gradual half smirk began to form on his face as he spoke. "Of course that's what you'd be concerned about." It rolled its eyes, shortly returning his gaze to the other vampire again. "That's fair enough then." It nodded in response

Nicolai smiled at it when he ruffled his hair and let out a small laugh, wondering why it had done that but amused nonetheless. He scowled slightly when he made fun of his formality and slight vanity, but let it slide. He was good humored enough to take the joke, and he didn't mind so much when Zeek was the one dishing it out, because he knew the intentions were good. He nodded in unison with the other vampire, then sighed and rested his chin on his hand. With his other hand, he cupped the warm mug to stave off a slight chill he was beginning to feel, possibly from sitting so close to the window. He didn't mind, though. He was content, but unsure what to ask next. He stayed silent instead, enjoying the moment and hoping it would allow Zeek to open up.

"Wisteria it is, then!" Amara replied, and the skeletal squirrels went off to take some down, while Amara carefully wrapped the bouquet, and tied it with a bow - also giving the flowers a slight rearrange. Her helpers were good, but not quite there with arranging the flowers in the most optimal way.
She was a little surprised by the question - very few customers showed much of an interest or some sort of curiosity towards them. Amara was quite pleased, though. "Oh, it's okay. I'm a witch, with a specialist focus on necromancy. I've trained them to help me out around the store, since I'm certainly not quite as nimble." she gestured downward, towards her wheelchair, "They're also pretty good at dancing!" Amara added. As if on cue, the two squirrels pranced about, one of them using a vine of wisteria as if it was a feather boa.

── as jax returned to the counter with the chocolate cake he looked over aro for a moment. something about the other man made him feel slightly relaxed; yet he had no idea why. he was always a bit on edge around strangers yet this one seemed to entice him. he felt comfortable and it was..nice. usually, even at work, he was nervous with customers ─ which is why he usually preferred to work in the back. he sighed contently and chuckled softly, nodding his head a bit. ❝ haha, yeah. everything here tastes so good, you can trust me. ❞ he flashed a content smile. he liked that he could relax for once. that he wasn't so tense and nervous having to talk to someone else.

jax felt his face begin to warm up a bit as aro complimented him. oh. oh. jax was so bad at accepting compliments. he shifts nervously and rubs the back of his neck, letting out a nervous chuckle. ❝ o-oh? ❞ he stammered a bit, moving his hands to fidget with the corners of his apron. ❝ um..um.. i usually stay in the back and help bake the cakes and such.. so i'm not usually here up front.. ❞ he smiled nervously, trying to keep eye contact with aro but poor guy is too flustered to do so. he knew his face had to be at least a little red from both his flustering from the compliment but also because he was a bit embarrassed because he was making a mess of himself here. ❝ thank..thanks. i like your eyes too. they're very striking; i love the blue.. ❞ he mumbled nervously. poor aro, you've made jax nothing but a flustered mess. he tries to regain his composure so he doesn't seem as flustered, clearing his throat a bit and shaking his head as aro mentions he must be talking his ear off. ❝ no! you're fine.. it's nice to chat with someone. it's nice to meet you, aro. i'm jax. ❞ he smiles and finally makes eye contact with aro again. he just hopes he hasn't come off as pushy or annoying to the other man. he just was really bad with social situations.

he nervously messes with his hands for a moment before taking in a soft breath, ❝ if you'd like.. maybe sometime we could get together and i'll make you something.. just..uh..letting you know. i don't know if it's something you'd be interested in but.. the offer stands.. i enjoy baking.. ❞ he smiles nervously and nods towards aro.

Humming in satisfaction as the male across from him offered a chuckle, returning the words of the other with another cheeky grin of his, Aro nodded in agreeance before looking over the display case in awe "I'll take your word for it." Being as talkative and as filter-less as Aro was, he knew he couldn't stop there, and again looked back at Jax before leaning in closer to finish his exclamation "Though, you know, I wouldn't mind eating one of everything in here. Or two. I'm still deciding that bit."

Again standing straight, knowing that sometimes his up-front aura could be quite off putting, Aro watched as the mystery male began to turn red and seemed to feed off of his nervous energy. Seemingly unbothered by the sudden tension in the air, the white haired male's embarrassment making him all that more intriguing (and, daresay, cute) to the wolf, Aro returned Jax's flustered smile with a confident smile of his own before responding to his words "Ahh, well, that makes sense then. So...in other words...you're the hard work behind this here piece of cake?" Motioning towards the plate which held his breakfast with a flick of the wrist, Aro gave a chuckle before offering up a dreamy sigh, leaning back up against his side of the counter as he again continued "Charming, good-looking, and can bake? Wow. The world doesn't deserve you."

His intentions quite cheeky, wishing to keep this flustered look about the other male forever, Aro listened as Jax offered up a compliment of his own and was glad to accept it "Oh, thank you! I always though they were kind of boring, given how many people have blue eyes, but I'll take it."

Feeling a wave of warmth spread over him as the other male introduced himself and insisted that his talkative nature wasn't disturbing him, Aro noted that Jax had finally lifted his wine colored eyes to his own once again and couldn't help but to smile even wider, outwardly gasping when the nervous worker made an offer he couldn't possible refuse "If I'd like? Oh, Jax, I'd love nothing more. Honestly, it's like you're a dream or something." Call it stereotypical, but it was obvious that the quickest way to this man's heart was through his stomach.
