- S T R A N G E R S to Reality
- Surely enough you've heard of hybridized animals such as Ligers, Tigons, Wolphins and Zedonks, but you've never seen animals like these! Elephants with hooves, Sharks with limbs to walk on land, even frogs with the heads of crocodiles. Suprisingly enough, all of these animals were bred naturally, no human interference at all. Looks like mother nature has decided to show us who's boss of the animal kingdom.
So what is this exactly? You are a hybrid animal, antyhing really, and you are on a mission. You need to gather up other hybrids like yourself and form an alliance. Why? There is an evil on the rise, known most recently as 'The Cause'. The Cause is a band of powerful and cruel animals whom believe they are a new coming of superior beings, and they feel it is necessary to purge 'Reality Valley', your home, of any animal who does not follow and obey them. So how will your fate play out? Will you fight The Cause, give in and join them, or die trying to protect you and your friends? That's what you need to find out for yourself.
- Before you jump to conclusions..
Please atleast give this roleplay a chance. I know it's new, and there's nothing else like it, but would you rather continue on joining roleplays like the common wolf packs and warrior clans where everything is the same, just with small quirks? Or would you rather have an entirely new experience, and have a lot of fun while you're at it? I promise you that you will never be bored in this roleplay. Everyone will be included and no one will be ignored. There will always be action and drama, so please, atleast give it a chance.
- I want to know more about 'The Cause'
As mentioned earlier, The Cause and its members believe they are truly superior over all others, even humans. They normally consist of larger animals or more dangerous animals, such as reptiles, birds of prey and big cats. They usually come in darker colours as well, and after an odd ritual of drinking a mixture of unknown ingredients, their eyes turn a bright yellowish green and stay that way for the rest of their lives. They tend to be more skilled at fighting and are unafraid to kill even their closest friend, whatever it takes to purge the Valley. The Cause is the only group of animals that have set rankings. Other groups may have a leader, but are much less organized. The Cause consists of a male or female leader and their mate, a second in command, a leader for hunting, fighting and patrols, subordinates that will fight, hunt and patrol if called upon, nannies that care for young when mothers cannot, runts whom are pretty mush useless until they prove themselves worthy of a rank, and young whom are still too under aged to possess a rank.
- Are there any limitations to what my characters can consist of?
Most of the animals only consist of two animals, showing major features of both, such as a Grizzly bear with the tail and legs of a scorpion. Here is a simple chart to keep you educated on the hybrid types.
Blue Blood ;; These animals have remained untouched by other species in their bloodline, and remain unhybridized. They are very healthy and have strong immune systems. (i.e. a normal Leather back seaturtle
Common Hybrid ;; Consists of two animals and shows major traits of both animals. These hybrids are generally health problem free, but have lower immune systems and fall victim to common colds and flus, which can be dangerous if thehybrid is young, old, or weak. (i.e. A horse with the wings and beak of an eagle)
Tri-Breed ;; Consists of three animals. It shows major traits of only two, and possesses a slightly hidden trait of he third. These hybrids are known to have minor health problems like sore joints and muscle pains (i.e. A lion with the fangs and scales of a viper, but the ability to breathe underwater like a fish)
Mutt ;; You can't quite pinpoint exactly what these hybrids consist of. They normally have severe health problems and die early in life, though they are strong if healthy. Their young often don't make it past the mature stage in life, if young are even able to be concieved. (i.e. an Eagle with bat like wings, the gills of a fish, the feet of a frog, the skin of a rinoceros, the tail of a cat and the eyes of a spider.)
Be wise in choosing your hybrid type.
- This looks organized and fancy, what kind of literacy are you expecting?
Please post atleast one good line. No; "Hi" Wolf said and sat down. It's not that hard to add fluff to your posts, even stupid little details. You can have your character think to themselves, or describe what they are hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling, etc. Use imagery! It makes your posts lively and interesting to read. For example; Wolf nervously padded over towards the female, his head level and his tail swinging casually. She was the girl of his dreams. The birds were chirping and the sky was clear, blue and beautiful, just like the nearby glassy pond water. He mustered up all of his courage and slowly sat down, greeting her shyly, "Hello, Flower, isn't it a beautiful day?" his eyes were soft as they rested on the beautiful creature that sat infront of him. (FYI, I typed that in about a minute. Not hard at all. You can do it.)
- I'm getting impatient, are we almost to the end?
Yep! We've just got rules, ranks, and forms to run by yet! Bear with me, and don't forget to follow these simple guidlines and rules...
How you type matters
- I don't want any text talk, crappy, effortless posts, crummy grammar, punctuation and spelling, talking OOC without brackets, or ugly posts. By ugly posts, I mean just typing without any sort of organization, title, colour, etc. Have something special to your posts. I simply type in a small grey font while in character, and a small dark lavendar colour while in ooc. it's not that hard, just don't be lazy, please. Now, I do understand if you are on mobile but an iPad, iPhone or iPod does not count. I have used all three and they are extremely easy to use when typing. Other devices, such as my phone (A Kyocera Rise) can be very aggravating when it comes to posting replies. It just doesn't cooperate, period.
Playing respectfully
- There will always be moments in the roleplay where it seems like another player hates you/your character because their's is attacking yous, but before you flip out listen up; that's how roleplaying works. Just like in real life, you're not always going to have it your way. You will meet complete jerks in both real life and in the roleplay. Just because a character is attacking you or hates your character doesn't man that the roleplayer does personally. It's probably just that character's personality. Now, we do have a problem if there's an ooc fight. If someone starts a fight with you don't fight back, just tell me and report them to the mods and I will take care of the situation while we await help from a moderator. And I'm going to warn you right now; I don't appreciate bullies. Anyone acting rude towards another roleplayer will be immediately kicked out. I don't care if you're stressed out with your life, that's not our problem, so you can take it out elsewhere. Alsdo, when someone asks for a recap, who is open, etc. don't just flat out ignore them Even if you don't know what has happened or don't have anyone open atleast inform them of that. It annoys the heck out of me when I have to repost asking for a recap so many times it drives me to quit. Don't act like you're too good to play with someone else's character, you're not. We're all equally important here.
Power playing and perfect characters
- I don't think there's anything that bugs me more than the following. Deciding the outcome of a fight for yourself, not giving someone a chance to fight back, walking away unharmed, ignoring someone inflicting damage on you, never losing, making characters to make your own look desirable and superior. That last one really bugs me. What I mean is this ;;

Hybrid 2 ;; "Of course I have, everyone knows him. He's the most amazing fighter ever."
Hybrid 1 ;; "I know! He's taken out 20 animals at once before, and he can even defeat the most elite members of the Cause!"
