Flicker looked up at Cinder, and met her eyes. She was scared, but she knew she'd be okay.
Still exhausted, but hopeful, Flicker paddled toward the stick, and crawled into it weakly. She let out a small new to let them know she was ready.


The twoleg slowly lifted up the net, and brought the drenched cat up onto the dock, freeing her at last.

Flicker crawled out of the net, toward her sister. She was shivering although the water was at it's warmest. She had never had that experience before. Flicker hated water, and hated it even more now.
She looked pitiful, all wet. Flicker's black and orange fur was dripping, and she looked half her size. She shook her pelt and went straight to Cinder.
"Thank you so much..." She mewed weakly.

Cinder lets out a relieved sigh as she pounces onto Flicker, nuzzling her vigorously. Thank you... She looks up the the young twoleg who had helped save her sister, saying thank you with her eyes. After waiting for Flicker to recover, she beckons with her tail to follow, turns to face the tom, gives a triumphant smirk and pads back into the forest.

Flicker was too fearful to actually thank the young twoleg. She ducked her head and followed Cinder, not meeting the rogue tom's eyes.

The twoleg girl understood. She smiled and watched the cats leave, happy that she could help.
