He saw a whole list of names, though all of them were grayed out except for one, IronPaladin wasn't grayed out.

"Hm, seems only my son is online at the moment."

he clicked on the name

It pulled up a small profile, having an icon and a quote under it.
'Name's Chung, Chung Lazure.'

"From here you can either go back to the main chat and post something there, and it'll make a sound on his side, or can private message him by clicking the small mail icon next to his picture."

"alright, may as well say something while were here" he typed in a short hello
