Ghost Rider rumbled softly, tempted to read the men's souls.
After a moment, though, he rationalized that that would waste time.
Besides, if the men got loud in their fear of him, they would sound the alarm.
Even the Ghost Rider could figure out that this mission required stealth.
There was a time for being loud and terrifying and there was a time to be sneaky and act like a spy.
The Ghost Rider retrieved his chain and hurried after Daisy.
He rewound the length of silver links around his body as he went.

As Daisy got to the shack she tried the door and it opened into an abyss if darkness.
She had to sway backward to avoid falling straight down.
It was a steep stairwell, she realised as Ghost Rider's flames illuminated the inside of the shack.
"Pretty sure we won't find wonderland down there." Daisy said under her breath but slowly descended the steps, bracing her hands against either side of the narrow staircase.

Ghost Rider rumbled. His eyes glowed as he stepped inside. He took a step down the staircase.
The Rider's flames lit up the dark hallway. He stared down the steep steps.
There wasn't nothing down there that would scare him. No way.
He had his own lightsource so the darkness would never be able to touch him.
Ghost Rider rolled his shoulders, feeling quite confident and dangerous.
The Rider rumbled softly. Ain't nothing that could scare him.
He was the monster lurking in the shadows, he was the fiend.
HE was the nightm-...what the...something sticky touched his face.
The Ghost Rider reached up to swipe it away.
He saw something scuttle across his gloved skeletal hand and he jerked his hand. Spider!!! RRRRRAWR!!!!!

-_Daisy_-

Daisy heard the Riders footsteps falter so she looked over her shoulder and saw him...freaking out?
She couldn't see and holes in the sloping ceiling of the stairwell so...then she saw it, or them.
There were spiders crawling about on one of the walls.
Daisy carried on, hiding her grinning face.
Ohhh Robbie would love to hear about this revelation, if he didn't already know about it that was.
As the stairs drew to an end, Daisy paused, hearing voices.
"Come on in, Fred, were just working out the kinks." A male voice called out.
Daisy's eyes widened, crap they'd been heard.
But Daisy wasn't so upset about dropping the sneaking around.
She wanted answers.
The end of the stairs looked like it lead down a small hallway and into a room with candlelight.
Daisy gestured for the Rider to hold back for the moment and she walked fully into the room. "So not Fred." Daisy said in a mad tone as the men looked like they'd been slapped across their faces at her entrance.

Ghost Rider snarled in annoyance and embarrassment.
He shuddered at the memory of the feel of the insect.
The Rider shook his head, flames making a sound like wind whipping around.
Left to himself in the spider nest of a stairway, he refused to touch the wall.
Now that one spider had touched him, he imagined others lurking in the dark.
Ghost Rider rumbled softly. Another thing to add to his to-do list.
Did spiders have souls? Cause if they did, they were screwed.

There was the three men from the café and another three had joined them.
So six in total, two of them had rifles trained on her.
"Gimme a reason, honey." One of the gun dogs said with not a deal of humour.
"Wow...nice setup you got here." Daisy looked around.
There was a computer that was hooked up to a generator in one corner and where the rest of the men were was a wall full of newspaper clippings, a small white board and a map that was spread out with thumb tacks stuck in it.
Then something red flashed in the corner, a security camera.
Daisy raised her arm and blasted it to pieces.
"She's one of them!" One of the dogs yelped, the one who'd called out when he heard their footsteps, the one she spilt coffee on earlier.
Daisy was sure the Rider would take care of Fred if he happened by him.
"You can't prove anything, freak!" His hand flung out at the map, sending some tacks scattering to the floor.
Daisy thrust out her hand and knocked him back with a shockwave.
"A few bodies for the cops would prove something to the people who's lives you've destroyed." Daisy said dangerously and glared at the two with guns.
"Your the freaks here, yet I'm the one with Alien DNA.
Isn't that ironic." Daisy chuckled dryly.
"Were defending our people! You unnatural scum don't belong here! We're doing you a favour so why don't you go on over to hell nice and quietly." The other Gun dog said.
Daisy laughed with feeling.
"I'd say that's your cue." She called out to the dark hallway behind her.[/list]

The stairs creaked as the Rider came down them.
The demon entered the room, his flames lighting up the dim quarters with an orange glow.
The Rider's hand reached for his chain and he whipped it in an arc.
The chain caught fire, the cool metal links heating up quickly.
Unnatural orange-red glow spread through its length as it clattered to the floor.
The flames did not go out. Instead, they flared brighter, the room heating up.
The Ghost Rider advanced on the men.
His movements were smooth and unhurried, and a low growl game from his chest.
The Ghost Rider paced over to the map.
Flames roared upwards from the floor, blocking the only exit.
The Rider reached out a hand and tore the map from the wall, folded it, and placed it in a pocket of the leather jacket he wore.
The Rider turned slowly and advanced towards the men again, this time his focus was directly on them.

Daisy stepped off to the side and watched Ghost Rider enter, his long, easy strides made him look as if he had all the time in the world.
Is was haunting, it made Daisy's bones go cold and she couldn't look away, she was kind of in awe.
He was raw power and unearthly, this demon of hell.
He was avenging and unforgiving and she saw instant fear in the Watchdog's faces.
The clatter of the chain was harsh in her ears as it lashed the air and clattered to the floor.
She heard the sudden rush of flames behind them and knew that the exit would be unreachable for awhile.
"Looks like hell had your names down for a visit, not mine." Daisy said, slightly smug.
"Shoot!" Coffee-dog squealed but none of them moved as Rider tore the map from the wall.
Daisy thought to herself that it was weird that the paper never burnt even as he folded it up and secured it in his pocket.
Then as he advanced on the trembling 'puppy-dogs'
"Shoot!" coffee-dog yelped, pleading this time.
Then came the rain of bullets.[/list]

Bullets scored through the Rider, but he didn't even flinch.
The wounds would heal within 24 hours' time.
If anything the shots seemed to make the demon more angry.
The demon lunged forwards and gripped the shooter's hand, audible snapping sounds echoing.
The Rider squeezed, breaking the man's hand. Then he took the gun and threw it aside, shoving the man away.
With an annoyed snort, the Ghost Rider came for the second man, pivoted his weight, and drop-kicked the guy in the ribs.

Show time.
As the guns blared out lead and showered Ghost Rider with little effect, some bullets tore past him and Daisy raised her hands, channeling the vibrations to shatter them.
Shrapnel flying at the Watchdogs instead and making them curse and shield their faces.
As Ghost Rider made to liberate the men from their weapons, Daisy ran, ducking under the Rider's leg and followed through with a sweep that knocked one of the dogs sprawling into his comrade.
Another rushed at her and dodged her punches and managed to hit her in the ribs.
Daisy reeled but stayed on her feet, instead swerving and sent him a swift back-kick to the jaw.[/list]
