Shattered dream flickered her eyes open to a warm haze of soft golden light. Colored leaved fluttered to the ground, painting it in fall colors. As she breathed out, fog filtered into the crisp air. It was clearly fall, and almost winter. Sometimes she hated being a loner, it was so lonely. And other times it was her strength. All her life she had been shut out from the world of things that were normal to others. It made her see things differently somehow. And she appreciated it.

History: beau was born in the forests surrounding her current valley to a small band that often joined the others during the rut. At the age of four she challenged the youngest of the king's ladies and came off as the winner, claiming the position for herself. She has been challenged by many during the rut, but has always managed to come off victorious.

The large stag snorts a bit as he suddenly wakes up, jerking slightly. Titan yawns rather loudly and gets to his feet, shaking out his dark red coat to rid of of the clinging grass. He tosses his head a little as he starts to move around his little band of stags and then his loyal harem of females. Titan snorts a bit and lets out a loud bellow, a wake up call to the herd. He moves with obvious confidence and power as he makes his way to the lake for a morning drink, his large rack of antlers were like a crown he wears with pride. He knows the Rut is starting and was a little amused by the way the other stags were trying to impress the hinds in the herd.

He makes his way around the herd, his head back and chest out as he tries to impress the females that were dotted around the meadow. Prince hears the King's wake up call and snorts, letting out his own bellow, but it was much weaker and not as grand as Titan's deep boom. The newly mature stag is a bit weary of the Rut since this will be his first that he can actually take part in and maybe even breed.

The older hind picks at the sweet grass by the lake, she has been awake since dawn. Echo looks up as she hears first Titan's call and then Prince's meager bellow, snoring a bit before going back to grazing. The hind flicks her small tail round behind her, spreading what little scent she had, it was only the start of the Rut so not many hinds were in deep heat yet.

She wakes and yawns as the King's call reaches her ears, getting to her feet and shaking off the dirt before looking around the herd. The young hind was a little fearful of the stags that were obviously starting to get aggressive as the winds change, signaling the start of Rut. This will be Ava's first rut where she is able to breed and carry a calf.

She enjoyed fall, the warm colors, the homey and nostalgic feel. She looked over at Titan when she heard his call "It appears that the King is awake" she chuckled. "Ah, I'm Constance by the way" she said, deciding to introduce herself, since she didn't know all the ladies just yet "What might your name be?" She asked the hind politely.

She turned around and quickly trotted after him, knowing he was going to the lake. She was thirsty, and didn't want to be left behind, so she stayed nearby, and close behind. On the way, she answered Constance's question. "Lovely." Alyssia nodded in agreement, keeping pace with the other Lady. "My name's Alyssia, but you can call me Ally, but I appreciate Alyssia a bit more." She nickered, with warm smile, before returning her gaze to Titan.
