Ricochet sniffed the foal around and was satisfied. "Hello," he smiled and nosed the filly. Standing up tall he looked around. "We should find some water, maybe a stream. And shelter." He turned to look back at the mare. "Is she strong enough to run for a little?"

Aria nodded " she can just about our run me" she said and smiled and nosed at fawn " okay, uh you can lead the way" she said and nosed the stallion, smiling and stood normally, " come on fawn" she said and saw fawn was ready to run

Surging with pride for his little herd members, he picked up in speed and began galloping. Vegetation is what he searched for; trees and underbrush not only provided safety but also grew near water. He lead them over hills, noticing trees in the distance. "We can head there and see if it's a good place to rest."

Aria galloped at his Side and nodded, and saw fawn speed ahead, " she is a natural runner" she said and galloped faster so she was side by side with Ricochet

"She certainly is, isn't she!" Ricochet whinnied, tossing his head and letting his mane billow in the breeze. Purposly he hung back to see how fast Fawn could go. Trees came up and he neighed for a halt. "I think this is a good place for rest," Ricochet said, trying to catch his breath.

Aria nodded and stopped when he did, she smiled at him and almost nuzzled him.
Fawn stopped, she turned and she was far off from them. She didn't have to catch her breath she started again faster and faster she was there in seconds.

Ricochet noticed Aria's hesitation and nuzzled her himself. He then turned to see Fawn. "You are a little bundle of energy, aren't you?" He smiled, pride raging through him like a wildfire even though this was a foal not his own.

Aria blushed and nuzzled him back, she smiled and looked at fawn, chuckling. She looked at Ricochet, and smiled, what a good father already.
Fawn smiled " yep! " she said and stood taller and prouder, puffing her chest out, " I am the fastest foal!"
Aria looked at fawn " your the only foal!"
Fawn sighed " so! Still makes me the fastest" she said then plopped down, having her legs tucked in, almost laying like a dear, she looked at her new father proudly.

Ricochet nuzzled Fawn then raised his head. "Aria, if you want to rest I'll keep guard," he said.

" okay, just wake me up when you get tired, so I can take the next shift" she said, so he wouldn't stay up all night, she laid down the same as fawn.
Fawn curled up with aria, and fell asleep.
Aria looked at Ricochet. " when you get more mares, will it be the same between us?"
