The dappled mare grazed on the wild oats while soaking up the sun, her dark grey tail swayed back and forth swatting at the flies the heat brought to the land. She looked up and scanned the valley with her eyes alert as she searched for dangers, but nothing that she could see or smelled came up on the wind, she let out a sigh and put her head back down and began t slowly graze again.
