fifteen years ago, scientists discovered that creativity is a finite source.
one the earth was quickly running out of.
this send the population into a panic.
after all, what would happen if the world ran out of creativity?
nobody wanted to be the one to find out.

ten years ago, art classes were removed from schools and colleges.
artists were forced to find different jobs.
many wound up living on the streets, or imposing on family members.
contributing to any sort of artistic pursuit was declared illegal.

five years ago, the government began to raid people's homes.
art supplies were publicly burned.
art went from a misdemeanor to something worth corporal punishment.
museums were shut down and the art in them disappeared.
most of it was taken to heavily guarded government warehouses.
some of it did not make it that far.

now, a group of young artists meets every thursday in a museum.
stolen paintings and makeshit art supplies litter the floors.
some have mastered their talents.
some are just starting to learn.
artists of all different mediums come together with one goal;
legalise art again.
but by rebelling, are they really doing the right thing?
and what will happen when creativity runs out?

if you don't clearly state you character's sexuality, default here is
pansexual.

◆ romance is not the main point of this roleplay, but is encouraged.

◆ please do not put your character's gender down as 'masculine' or
'feminine'. those are traits, not genders, and anyone can be those

Jerran had never been one for making grand entrances because he, despite being a dancer at heart, simply lacks the elegance to really put one together. He's much more of a rush-into-things-and-interrupt-everyone type. Which is what he does now.
Sneaking into the abandoned art museum that he and several other artists have come to call home is easy, if one knows how to do it, and Jerran is very familiar with the process. He moves a board away from a broken basement window, climbing inside and stumbling, then catching himself on a nearby desk, nearly knocking over a Mason jar of contraband paintbrushes in his rush. Once he's sure nothing is going to break (at least, not while he's close enough to be blamed for it), he situates the board back in front of the window again, then rushes upstairs to the main gallery, which has become something of a meeting place.
Jerran looks like he's just run for miles, which doesn't exactly seem possible in his stiletto heels, but it isn't far from the truth- it was more like speed walking for a couple, really. "I have something important to say!" Jerran announces, leaning against the back of a couch that was moved to the main gallery from the lobby and taking a moment to catch his breath. Really, it's highly unusual to see him with his hair and clothes so disheveled- more often than not, there's absolutely nothing out of place about him, appearance and otherwise. Now, he's a total mess.
After a moment, he stands straighter with a wide grin, crooked teeth showing. "I think I found where the government is keeping some of the old art! I don't know for sure, but it's a warehouse outside of town, and they've got all sorts of police and army and stuff out there, guarding it! Guys, I think some of us should go try to check it out!"

Amar laughs harshly at Jerran. Why the hl would they want to risk bring caught, giving up their freedom they've keep this long. For some painting that might not even exist anymore. "Right, because I'm sure they keep something like 'Starry Night' locked up where it can still breed creative nature! They've probably burned everything. Whoever told you that is lying their *** off." He returns to his stretching before mumbling, "if you want to go off on a suicide mission. Be my guest."
See, he'd like to say he could learn to like Jerran, especially since they both dance. But all things considered, he's not one to make friends anymore. He's only here for the shelter.

He hears Jerran before he gets in the room upon seeing Jerran he abandons his polariods of the dimly lit museum to hug Jerran. "Hi! I missed you" he looks back at Amar as he trashes Jerran's idea. He looks back up at Jerran, shaking his head. "No,no. It's a grand idea!! He's just being mean"
Amar mocks the dutch boy, continuing his stretches as if totally unphased.

Olivia stood in a gas station bathroom near the old museum, locking the door so no one could see her. She furiously scrubbed at her arms with a wet dish sponge, trying to get every inch of paint that splattered. "Ma'am?" A voice said outside the door, giving a few faint knocks. "Are you okay?" The masculine voice said, a hint of concern lacing the tones. "Yes I'm fine! Just not feeling well, and I'd like a bit of privacy..." She said, in a rushed tone, her arms sore and red. "You should head home ma'am, it's not good to be outside with a sickness." The man said, before Olivia heard steps walk away from the door. Olivia gave an exasperated sigh, her gaze falling downward at her arms, them a rosy shade of pink. At least the paint was gone though. She exited the bathroom, quickly walking out the door and to the museum, burying her face into her thick scarf that covered her neck and chin.

Hyun, not paying attention to the other people in the museum, layed against some old dance clothes, covered in dirt and dust. He looked over at Amar and Jerran talking, looking lazily at the both of them, and raised an eyebrow at the idea of trying to break in to a heavily guarded building "Is it really worth it?" He said, standing up slowly. Walking over to them he crossed his arms and gave a shrug "I mean- I have nothing fun to do anymore, I'll gladly come with you on your 'suicide mission' as Amar so kindly puts it." He then moves his hair out of his face, laughing slightly. "I mean, if we get thrown in jail, at least there is a whole new population of ladies to talk to."

Angel was sat at a desk, pushed into the corner of a painfully plain room. She was sitting up straight, listening for the footsteps of her little sister, whom she shared an apartment with. The girl grew up in the age of destroying creativity, so she never questioned the rules or had any doubt of them. Unlike Angel. When she heard the slam of a door, she knew that it was safe to leave without her sister seeing and therefore questioning her. Angelica stood up and quietly gathered her things. Then, without a sound, she left and hurried down to the first floor and started walking toward the museum.

Beck had visited the museum numerous times before. Even once as a child, as he marveled at the paintings and sculptures. Now it was dead. Sad to see in that state. But, it served as a meeting place for he and his fellow artists and that was good at least. He paused when he reached the board placed on the broken basement window and glanced around to check if anyone was passing by. Then, he slid the board back and climbed inside.

Jude was watching everyone in the meeting room speak, not speaking or making a presence. She'd rather wait to see everyone's opinion. Jerran's idea seemed... dangerous, but she was intrigued by the ideas. She herself wouldn't volunteer to go as she lacked stealth, or fighting skills, and if she got caught wouldn't stand a chance against anyone.

"I agree with Tijn," Elle sighed as she entered the room. "Sounds like fun." The architect took her place beside the others already there, immediately putting herself into the conversation. "If not really risky.." She had few doubts, mostly excitement about Jerran's proposed idea.
