Reagan gave a little wave back and smiled at her, but then one of her other friends, Annie, tapped her shoulder, directing her attention elsewhere.
Annie was a small girl, with bright red hair and big green eyes. All her friends call her Cinnamon, but she goes by Cinny for short. She liked it, and never got offended by anything. Reagan liked that about her. Self-conciously, she held her silver locket and played around with it, not really even aware of what she was doing.

Reagan looked over at Audry as she twirled a strand of hair around her finger. Audry was sketching in her notebook; Reagan watched her as she drew the precise lines and details of the people. She's good, Reagan thought. Audry noticed her watching and smiled up at her for a second, then went back to doodling.

Amber slowly walked to the school. She stopped at the entrance and pulled out a book to read. She sighed as she continued to walk towards the school. She entered the hall . She hated being here in a school where she wouldn't learn anything.

Reagan, easily distracted, watched as a girl walked by the room in the hallway. She was obviously engrossed in a book, but why would she be late for the first day? Oh well, Reagan thought. Maybe I'll get to meet her later. The thought cheered her up a bit from the boring rules that they were going through. Mr. Layten was really nice, but the first day was definitely always the longest.

Amber looked at her piece of payer that has her schedule and teachers on it. She went to her homeroom class but she will hated it. When she walked in the class room the teacher watched her take the set in the far back. She glared at the teacher, but he didn't care.
