Tess made a pole way way back in july for if she should do customs with money from paypal or getting mailed money. I actaully think that would be a good idea. She would just need to do something like this. She would have it so once you ask for a custom pet, you only get one. and then after get random dogs or something like that. That would be fair and maybe for the customs she should have a thing that give that person a date that she will talk to those several people/make the customs that got it and it would go in that order. Just a random but good suggestion...

Honestly, that is up to Tess. I would shy away from customs though. In an extreme example, say everyone buys one of these pets. Everyone.

Now, If she spends time trying to make a custom for everyone then she won't have time to make regular pets for everyone.

Without regular pets, we'd all just be in a queue line to get one pet. I'd rather the customs be let to "whenever time is available" not just on how much money people are willing to pay. I'd hate to see this site reduced to something like that because she runs out of time. Although a poll just to see the results would be interesting.

Yeah but I meant like a certain time of month you know? Like one certain month at a time of the year where she just make customs only for that one month and who ever gets them can't get another. And for the people who already got one get other pets from the older months. You get what I mean?

I don't know how I feel about this.

I think with the large amount of people, you'd want to keep customs rare so they should be stupidly expensive so very few people get them. If they are like $2 then everyone & their dog would want to buy one. I know GaiaOnline breedable/changing pet sites that are very, very popular can sell customs for $15 and $20 but that is a little different, all pets are unique there generally and obtaining any pets can sometimes be quite difficult, because popular ones have flatsales with far less pets than necessary to satisfy everyone that posts trying to buy one in the first 30 seconds of the flatsale starting let alone the slower ones. And customs are expensive goldwise, they can be 200k, 500k or over 1 million gold on the site. But I'm digressing.

If it is implemented the price should be steep, and have a limit of 1 per person per month or something. Because the site is now too big to offer cheap customs because too many people would want them to cater for all.

Another option is for Tess to auction them, perhaps on eBay. She could have say 3 auctions with 1 custom pet in each, and see how they go. That might be a nice way to get money for the site, and to work out what people will pay for them.

But as Shian says, customs should be a very, very small part of CS if they are going to be introduced, because they are inaccessible to the majority.

That is why my mom got paypal and I either give her part of my allowance, do work for her, or hand her the amount of mone in cash. Suprisingly, I always have $20 laying around. :3

We're working on something.
I'm sure Tess might want to drop in and say something, but for the most part I think this whole thing will just have to wait until everything's finished and ready to be added. So, don't worry because people will be able to donate eventually, but you'll just have to wait to throw money at the site.

there are a great many new site features under construction at the moment, hopefully most will be properly set-up and announced by next month, so in the meantime I won't be here too much to discuss possible options would like to keep some things as a surprise until they are ready
