On another forum I'm on, it's really really common for adoptable threads to just completely die, so everyone makes an interest check thread first to see if anyone wants their adoptables before they go to the effort of making a bunch of them only for them to never sell.
Is this a culturally accepted thing here on Chicken Smoothie? If so, what board would I put it such a thread in?

Yes, interest checks are allowed. The best places for them are the sketches and experiments oekaki if your species is on the oekaki, or the user-made adoptable forum if not. c:
