actually, it is something to worry about. if you get that screen you need to act immediately. I had to have my computer reset at least 3 times before it was completely clean after getting that, according to the people who fixed my computer it took that much... It's also a virus not just a trick.

Err, hur hur.
No it's not.
All you have to do is get out of the tab.
I've gotten that screen tons of times. And nothing happened.
Why?
Because ScareWare is totally FAKE, unless you download it, and attacks mainstream websites.

Well I shut off the window, but I still had the virus....

My home computer got battered by viruses and eventually stopped working. The culprit? Apparently, this site. i thought it was safe.

Make sure you are using a good anti-virus, a good firewall, and check for Viruses, Spyware and Malware frequently.
I advise against free anti-virus programs like AVG. Comodo is good, as far as I can tell.

I also suggest using a different web browser, like FireFox or Google Chrome, along with an ad-blocking program like AdBlock Plus (which is an add-on for Firefox and Chrome) or AdMuncher.

If you can't get rid of a virus, make sure you turn off System Restore, then run a virus scan, and then turn it back on. Viruses can hide in the restore files.

o.o
I have Norton and my dad uses it a LOTTTT so that's the only thing I've been using.

I'll be getting Google Chrome soon then, and AdMuncher. Thanks :D

I''ll try that then, thanks a bunch :)

My computer has been doing the same thing, recently.

Sometimes when I click on a topic, I'll randomly be redirected somewhere (usually with a really long and evil-looking URL), which my computer then blocks. (This gives Norton the chance to scream "OMG 111 WE JUST WERE ATTACKED BUT IT GOT BLOCKED" at me.)

I'm running my anti-malware scan right now, but I find it odd that it's happening from CS only. If it was spyware of some type, wouldn't it do it on all websites? Usually I just assume that I'm getting something from Deviantart, because I usually have tabs with CS and dA open at the same time, but it just happened again with only CS up.

It's likely that spyware on your computer is redirecting you totally at random, but that you simply open many more links here at CS so you see it more often here. If it was trouble at our end, it would be affecting absolutely everybody and would require an infection on our server of a type I haven't heard anyone mention.
