Now to the question I just wanted to know what slots were?

Think of it like a raffle.

Say 10 people apply for an Ahzenai, each person gets one slot. I would then pick a number 1 though 10 and whoever held the number would win.

You can get more slots through writing good wooing stories and using items. :3

>>> Eriat }}

It was dark at first, which was to be expected, probably, seeing that Muku was located in a cave. The darkness wouldn’t be so much of an issue, though, if she had any vague recollection of actually entering said cave. But, anyway, it wasn’t her nature to dwell on such things, especially since her eyes had finally begun to adjust thanks to a sparkling little brook, bubbling along the cavern floor. It was very, very blue, and seemed to give off an almost ethereal glow, entrancing in its startling bright contrast to the brown rock walls. There was a temptation to take a drink, and she very nearly did, already bending over and reaching her arms down towards the water. Thankfully a bit of self preservation common sense kicked in, because whatever was making the liquid so very majorelle blue was probably also making the water marginally less H2O and more some other stuff and who knew what that was. What if it made her pee sparkle, too, later. Tasting aside, there was nothing against touching, so she tentatively reached a small hand in, swirling the fluid gently and feeling around for rocks and similar small particles.

The stream was too deep for her to touch the sandy bottom, even as she leaned forward, coming perilously closer to falling straight in. She spent a good five minutes with this activity, obviously enjoying herself, splashing about and cupping the water up high before slowly letting it trickle and drip back down, admiring the play of droplets through air.

"Welcome to Ahzen, I don't know how you came to find yourself here but you don't seem to be much of a threat." a voice cut in, and its like the moment was wrecked, absolutely destroyed, and where there was once wonderment and amazement now only remained an unobtrusive girl playing with water and looking about as immature and irresponsible and not her age as humiliating moments get. The girl, obviously a young adult, and also blatantly ill suited to cave and outdoorsy environments in general, with her just a bit too stylish jeans and baggy shirt and nice purse, had frozen for a bit in shocked surprise, but now slowly turned around to face the encroaching voice.

The creature, male judging by vocal intonation, was continuing with some expository and probably very informative information spiel, but Muku was entranced, too distracted to notice or care. It was… distinctly feline, in body and facial structure, yet it was covered with the most interesting of markings and had, well, horns. Sharp, shiny, pointed, curved horns. Plus it was totally huge. Like bigger than a bear.

Luckily some of the words had managed to filter into her brain, past her distraction, or else when the great cat turned to leave, Muku would have been utterly lost, staring at the now empty space with undue captivation. There were, apparently, other creatures like this, and… energy vortexes?

“Energy vortexes?” she repeated aloud for good measure, long past the appropriate response time. Suddenly comprehending what had been said, her head swiveled about wildly, searching for said vortex. What would it look like? What would it feel like? Sound like? Smell like? It was a hypnotizing thought, the kind that appealed infinitely to her inner physicist and made her hands commence awkward twitchy motions that would better fit a raging kleptomaniac.

It kind of smapped her in the face, like a day old fish, blinding and vibrant and swirling with smoky energy. Beautiful in all the good ways, and Muku nearly ran straight through the stream in her eagerness to explore, to feel, to flail about because this could be Great Science. But she stopped, because it was flashing and spinning out new colors, black and violet and teal, almost sharp and pyrostatic. A cat creature stepped out, dark and elegant, almost hesitant in demeanor, and Muku filled with a burning new urge to understand.

Muku spotted a landbridge just in time to save her nice flats, the ones with a frilly lace bow at the top because d’oh, she’d been walking to some exhibit prior to WHAM BAM YOU’RE IN A CAVE NOW MAN. Perhaps she’d fallen down a rabbit hole. Certainly a valid question to ask the next living thing she came across. Or the dark blue cat, because obviously she knew how to get from place to place and could traverse the world via vortex and yeah that was definitely something to ask, too.

She was almost across the bridge, moving at a sedate pace because now that she could see what was going on, the cave was pretty huge. There was a waterfall at one end, which was curious because how had she missed hearing it before? And there were lots and lots of stone formations all over the place, and moving shadows that could be other people or other what were they called, Ahzenai? Still too dark to make out distinct, unique features, but from her perspective, she could be fairly certain that the two species were… mingling, even?

And suddenly the maroon cat from before was back, right behind her, talking to her, and Muku could barely start with an obligatory “ohshi—what.” Before he was telling her a name, the name of the Ahzenai that had just arrived. Eriat. She was alone yet, and looked to be as inquisitive as Muku currently felt, so feeling a burst of courage, Muku walked boldly over. Only to stop short, right in front of Eriat, because woah, this was something new. The maroon cat was just that, a fancy giant cat with horns. But this Eriat, she had something… floating at her back? It was almost like the vortex, whirling a myriad of colors, except the texture wasn’t quite the same, and instead appeared as insubstantial and wispy as black smoke could get.

An arm reached out surreptitiously, around the head of the Ahzenai she was currently facing, stretching around to feel for the airy cloud, fingers clenching sporadically at the lightest tendrils that almost appeared to float away, dissipating into the shadows of the cave.

Feeling vaguely inappropriate, rude, and chastened by invisible stares of disapproval, she swiftly pulled her arm back, latching it firmly to her side, because while that was probably the most awesome thing she had done today, what if that broke some sort of hidden cat code and would she get mauled now and what if Eriat could FEEL that, wouldn’t that be cool, and her mouth to brain filter must need readjusting because she felt her lips moving in a fast ramble and it was panicked and auuughh.

“Ah! I’m totally sorry, hi my name is Muku, you’re very very pretty, what is your swirly back thing made of, can you feel it when I touch it do you mind of I blow at it to see if it flows away or changes direction because that would be so cool and where is it even coming from--” all with necessary gestures of greatest import, of course.

Muku leaned forward midsentence, too quiet, lurching without preamble, to almost touch noses with Eriat, staring deep into her eyes. Her glowy blue eyes. Her mouth opened, like she was about to speak again, but instead she snapped her head to the right, eyes locking on the central vortex, then turning and a painfully slow pace back to the cloud above Eriat. Her eyes continued to swivel back and forth, back and forth, and her thoughts were almost palpable, the sound of thought gears turning in her head so loud they practically glittered through her eyes.

“Vortexes are created primarily by the turbulent, violent flow of some sort of liquid, so I’m going to assume that to some degree they all have some level of tangibility, and therefore slgjkdlgjflhjgjjfgh.” The rest was incomprehensible babble, really, but it sounded scholarly enough, especially when combined with a ‘thinking pose,’ complete with one arm across chest and the other stroking chin thoughtfully.

A large step back, for a better view, and it was just waaay to dark in the cave to truly observe. Not that Muku didn’t try, but she could only squint for so long before everything started to explode in small patches of pixelly rainbow dots.

“I want to… see you,” for lack of better terms, “under the sun, under a clear blue sky, where the sheer contrast of your colours will paint its own canvas, where the lightest of breezes will ruffle your fur and your cloud, unprecedentedly glorious,” like a confession, but nothing short of the truth.

It was like pondering, Muku talking to herself with an audience, all of a sudden too serious, scientific, curious, wanting.

“I’m a researcher, you see,” moving backwards, finishing with an introduction, way to go, “I’ve been to all sorts of places, but never before have I been so thoroughly perplexed. Is it pure energy that drives your vortexes? Where does it come from, where does it go?” a bit of pacing, back and forth, back and forth, restless fidgeting, “do you know?”

And then there was a brilliant idea, “you should come with me! There are all sorts of brilliant things I have seen and will see, and seek to discover. I feel this oddest captivation with you, and I am unable to analyze it truly. It’s just…” trailing off, because what was a lonely physicist supposed to say in such a situation? Sell herself, that’s what, good advertising made for good business. “I’m a bit childish at times, I guess, haha,” sheepishly, she scratched at her head, “but it’s for a good cause!” what.

“To travel with me could be enjoyable, I’d like to hope, as my journeys bring not only enlightenment, but also delicious food and soft clothing.” Awkward, she stumbled for better words, “plus I make the tastiest butterscotch tiramisu on this side of the dimension?”

Her voice lilted at the end, dissipating into silence, and Muku stepped back to wait for a response, eyes wide with anticipation.

I have no idea what i wrote and its really trippy by the end lmao. NORMALLY I'M A BIT MORE FOCUSED THAN THIS HRRNG.

These are super-awesome. Their design is so delicate =3

Story for Eriat wrote:The weather was perfect for a hike through the forest today, and as I grabbed my backpack I said to my parents I'd be home in the evening. Such a lovely day to explore the forest surrounding my new home. Filled with anticipation to what the day might bring, I stepped onto the path showing the way into the forest. I had absolutely no idea how large it was, or where the path I had decided to follow ended. As I walked, the sound of chirping birds and other forest animals soothed my ears as my eyes searched for movement indicating wild animals. I had brought my camera in case I stumbled upon something interesting.

After a couple of hours, I found myself much higher above sea level than when I first started. The path had made a sudden turn and continued up a steep hill. My stomach had started to ache, telling me it had been hours since I ate breakfast. I found myself a stone, sat down and took up my first lunch; bread with cheese. As I ate, the nature fell quiet around me, and all of a sudden two baby foxes appeared about 50 meters away from where I sat. Picking up the camera would just scare them away, so I sat there watching them play as I finished my food.

I don't know how long I sat watching the foxes, but all of the sudden they disappeared as abruptly as they had appeared. When I got up on my legs, I noticed everything seemed darker. Looking up, the sky had removed it's powder blue colour and replaced it with a rather scary black one. I considered the options I had in my head, and concluded with that it would take at least two hours to get home too, so I just as well could continue exploring until the rain caught me. Then I could find some shelter, and eat my food while it passed me.

    Work in Progress =)
