Event Lion you are applying;; Hobbit Geek's 2nd Design
Name;; Aasim
Meaning;; Guardian, protector, defender
Gender;; Male
Element;; Death and Lava
Mother;; Lyrel
Father;; Syveth
Siblings;; None
Mate;; Vera
Cubs;; Names/Specifics Undecided
Body Size;; Aasim is larger than the average LOC with massive wings that could send a cub tumbling with the air cast from their powerful strokes. While not incredibly fast due to his large size, he still retains a smooth gracefulness in his movements, not unlike that of a serpent.
Voice;; Aasim has a very deep and resonating voice. His words tend to curl in an almost growling manner and most refer to his way of speaking as a rumble.

Abilities wrote:Death;;

Death Touch - Aasim's 'death touch' allows him to send a pulse of Death energy into his victim, causing them to drop dead within seconds. This ability is very tiring both physically and mentally and if used too much could turn a lion insane or even into a walking corpse. Only extreme emotion can trigger this ability.

Decaying Touch (Form of Crippling Touch)- When Aasim lands a physical strike, the area around the hit begins to decay. If left untreated, the wound will become worse and worse until eventually the lion is crippled. The speed of the crippling depends on the area that was damaged.

Spirit Sight - This is the ability to see the dead. Aasim struggles greatly with this ability for some reason unbeknownst to him. Sometimes he can hold a connection with the dead to make a spirit appear for a few moments, but nothing more. This ability is also very tiring to him and after using this ability he is very confused.

Ears of the Dead - If he listens closely, Aasim can hear the faint whispering of the dead. More times than not, the talking is unintelligible and does nothing but make him question his own sanity.

Lava;;

Burning Blade - Aasim can heat up the long spikes of his tail to levels close to that of molten lava. Striking with the burning spikes immediately burns away fur, skin, and flesh upon contact. It takes a long time for the spikes to reach high heat levels and it takes a lot of energy to maintain these levels, so in the midst of battle he will often heat up the blades to whatever he can manage at the time.

Molten Stream - He can summon a stream of lava from deep within the ground. Doing this takes an extreme amount of concentration and time and is not commonly used in battle. Aasim has been able to pull up about a pool just large enough to engulf two or three grown lions. After having to use this ability to massacre a small group of rebels, Aasim swore to never summon up anything more than a small stream of lava.

Scorch - Aasim' heat levels become extremely hot. As a result, the ground and things around him begin to burn and become scorched. This ability can be triggered by will or by a severe emotion.

Smoke and Ash - A cloud of smoke and ash is breathed out by Aasim. It is often used to blind and confuse an enemy, or even to set up an ambush. Other than blinding the victim, it also disables their ability to smell anything other than the smoke and ash.

Personality wrote: Aasim has always been very confident in himself and his others. He's a true and is always prepared to take control of a situation if he has to. He understands the concept of empathy and will stand by his friends' sides during dark times. He would do anything for those he loves, and without them he'd be lost. He absolutely adores his family and is very kind and gentle around them. If you can't find a cub, they're probably crawling all over Aasim as he loves playing with them. He enjoys a good laugh and his deep chuckle is a common sound to his friends and family. While he is not easy to anger, he will become very dismissive and violent when he is angry. While having a very bold personality, he is very humble, but also ambitious. He strives to prove his worth to his friends and family and to the pride.

After losing his family and one of his closest friends, Aasim becomes more quiet and keeps to himself. He always seems to be angry about something and no one can escape his sharp words or hateful glare. He becomes somewhat apathetic to his horrible actions as long as he believes that they will help him destroy the rebels and gain the fear and respect of others.
View on the Rebels wrote:Despite being raised in a way that might make most have an instinctive hate towards any who are against the pride, Aasim has only ever had a slight sense of distaste for the rebels. He doesn't like the threat of them looming over the pride and he is willing to go into combat against them, but the idea of taking their lives simply because they opposed them brought him a sense of unease. In some ways he even agrees with the rebels because of his fear and hate for the Air-Elemental, but he does not want to see the downfall of the pride who raised him.

After the death of his loved one, Aasim blames the rebels and develops a hate for them and everything they stand for. He becomes more vicious towards them and his will to kill increases. He has the illusion that they are traitors to their own kind.
Aasim's Story wrote:
Before the War
Aasim was born a single child within the Old Pride. He had inherited the leathered wings and the scales from his great grandfather who was a legend among the pride for helping to conquer lands in name of its formation. His parents were both highly skilled warriors, who were extremely traditional and loyal to the pride's ways. They loved their cub and treated him with all the care in the world. However, they expected him to be like his ancestor and wished him to follow in their footsteps and to serve his pride to the best of his abilities. Despite their will to make him loyal to the pride, his parents' beliefs barely stuck to him for he felt loyal to it because it was the only home he had ever know, but at times he would question their ways. He trained day and night, honing his combat skills and battle tactics. Sometimes during the day the other cubs would join him in his lessons, but other times he was completely alone. He gained an appreciation for the silence and his independence, or perhaps it was simply a tolerance.

The other cubs automatically viewed him as an oddity because of his dark looks and dragon-like features, and as a result treated him as an outcast for the first few years of his life. However, as Aasim grew older he became stronger and bigger than the others his age and it didn't take long for him to establish himself as the dominant one among the group of cubs he played with. In all of their games, he was the one deciding what they played and who got to play. The others found that despite Aasim's odd looks and somewhat brutish demeanor, he could be kind and loyal. He made it his personal goal to protect his friends and to stand up for them against the other groups of cubs whom they had formed a rivalry with. When they had grown older, they continued to look after each other and Aasim was someone who the others could turn to when things turned rough.

Growing up, Aasim had two main friends: Vera, the caring, confident Psychic female cub with a coat as white as snow and the stripes of one of Earth's tigers, and Grímur, the shy and eccentric Darkness lion cub whose black coat contradicted his golden heart. The three were were inseparable. While all a part of the same group of cubs, the three had formed and even closer bond together than they had with the others. Vera was the most adventurous of them, and the males were often forced to trail her on her wild adventures. Aasim did not mind their adventures though and would boast about their tales to anyone who would listen. Of course their adventures were nothing more than seeing a strange creature or stepping a few feet away from the adults, but to the cubs they were the most exciting adventures in the world.
When the three underwent their transformation at 150 years of age, they were there for each other to understand and feel comfortable with their new body. Aasim was quick to show off his large stature and his enormous wings to the others. His two best friends would often joke about how he looked like the stereotypical tyrant and how his personality went with it too. He would laugh along, sharing in the joke on how he would someday 'rule the pride'.

He was mentored by an old lion whom had long ago mastered the elements of Lava, as well as an aging lioness who was exceptionally good with the power over Death. Aasim took well to his Lava training, able to conjure sprouts of molten substance from the ground with little difficulty. As his mastery over Lava grew, he gained the tendency to cause things to burn when faced with negative emotions. Learning Death was a whole other story. He found it extremely difficult to see the dead, much less communicate with them. Using his death touch or creating crippling wounds was easy enough, but Aasim often felt guilty for not giving his prey the chance to live before tearing their life away. After his training sessions for his Death element, Aasim would wish to be left alone and would snap at anyone who attempted to interact with him. The only one he allowed to approach him was Vera whom he had become to develop a deep sense of affection for.

When Vera and Aasim became mates at the age of 200, no one was surprised. Aasim had courted Vera and waited a long time for the both of them to become of age before asking her to be his partner. None could deny that the two were perfect for each other, for Vera's sweet, kind, yet stern personality greatly balanced out Aasim's confident, boastful, and often rash personality. The only one who wasn't completely happy with the new relationship was Grímur. Grímur had hoped to take Vera as a mate, but when he was too slow he became angry with his friends. He and Aasim developed a rivalry between each other and they eventually parted ways. When Aasim and Vera announced that they were having cubs, Grímur only grew more bitter. When the Origins War came, the two put their rivalry aside and once more became friends as they were forced to work together to survive. Alas, the peace between the trio was never meant to last.

Family Decisions
The war had begun. There hadn't been any defining moment to speak of its start, but the constant battle between the rebels and the pride was enough of a hint. It was Aasim's first view of war, and it was a sight that sent him trembling from head to tail. The day had grown weary by the time Aasim returned form a skirmish with the rebels. He could still feel the blood on his paws where he had sunk his claws into his enemies. The thought brought him a sense of guilt for taking the lives of others, but also pride for handling himself well in battle and helping his pride by killing the rebels.

He walked with a smooth gait through the pride's camp. Lions bustled to and fro preparing for the battles to come, paying no heed to the returning warrior. Aasim quickened his pace as he neared the small cave that his family had made their den. The sound of cubs mock fighting greeted his ears upon nearing the entrance and when he entered his home he was met with small bundles of fur hurling themselves against him. A deep purr resonated from his throat at his family's welcome. "Papa!" the cubs chattered excitedly. A joyful laugh escaped the fierce lion as he lowered his head to nuzzle his cubs hello. He felt tiny paws wrap around his horns and when he raised his head, a small bundle was brought up with it. With another laugh, he slowly shook his head to rid himself of the adventurous cub. When he raised his head his gaze, full of love for his family, met the stare of his mate's across the cave. "Vera," he greeted warmly. She had a small smile curled upon her muzzle, but worry shimmered behind her eyes. The war brought new fears to the young mother, fears of safety for her cubs. Noticing the heavy expression upon his mate's face, he called out gently to her and stepped up to her to press his muzzle against hers. "What troubles you, love?" asked Aasim, his voice laced with concern. He already knew the answer, but he had the foolish hope that he was wrong.

Vera gave a small sigh and motioned for him to follow her outside of the cave after telling the cubs to stay inside. Once outside, she turned to face him. "Aasim..." she began, "we can't raise our cubs like this. It's too dangerous." There it is, thought Aasim. He sat down and curled his tail around his paws. His wings reluctantly folded against his body as he fought to remain relaxed. "And do what?" he asked. "Side with the rebels?" it was obvious from the tone of his voice that he did not think it was a good idea. "Yes!" Vera exclaimed. "Aasim, we- she was cut off by his immediate rejection of the idea. "Merikh will kill us for treason! What do you think will happen to all the rebels when he wins?" Vera gazed solemnly at her furious mate. "We don't know that." At this point Aasim had risen to his feet, all pretense of calm was gone. "Look at the odds, Vera! The pride is more organized and the rebels can hardly compete with our numbers! There is no way the pride will lose. Joining the rebellion is plain out suicide," he spat, taking an angry step towards his mate. Vera did not back down, but despair hung off her at realizing her mate would not budge on his view. "Fine," was all she said. Aasim immediately calmed down and he felt a tinge of regret for acting harshly with his partner. "I'm sorry..." he quietly spoke. "I'll protect us, you'll see. We'll be alright." He wanted to make good on his promise. No, he needed to keep his promise. "I hope you're right," she whispered, but even then doubt clawed knowingly at her heart.

A Skirmish Between Friend and Foe
Screeches of pain and anger filled the air. Jaws mashed on flesh and air, claws swipe leaving trails of blood or whistling air. The rebels were relentless, but so was the pride. Aasim fought alongside his pride members, lending his strength to them as warriors fell all around them from either side. This war will never end, he thought to himself.

A swift, grey and white lioness darted from the rebel ranks into his path, baring her fangs all the same. She crouched down, her ear pinning back before leaping at his side with claws extended and mouth foaming with poison. Unable to move in time, Aasim batted his large wings, the force of the wind startling her enough to discourage her from her attack. Now wary, the lioness circled him, ignoring the battle going on around them. Aasim did the same. Grímur would guard his back, so he had no need to fear. He snapped his wings to his sides and snarled at his opponent. His tail lashed from side to side and the ground began to blacken beneath his paws. The lioness seemed unimpressed by his show, thinking him a mere Flame-Elemental. After all, who would expect to face off against one of the few lava-elementals currently in existence? A simple warrior at that.

With a battle cry, the lioness resumed her attack. Ice rose from the ground in a line, quickly advancing on Aasim as the wielder of the ice ran at him from the side. He hesitated for a moment, trying think of a way to avoid full on killing the female warrior to escape, when the full force of her body slammed into him. Air forced itself out of his lungs as he was sent sprawling with the lioness on top and ice shackling him in place. The grey and white lioness stood victoriously over him, glaring down at him with narrowed blue eyes.Rahaha, good try! thought Aasim as smoke began to clog the air between them. Blinded, the lioness could not see the ice quickly beginning to melt into a puddle. He quickly rolled onto his paws and pounced onto his opponent, using his sheer strength to pin her down. In a haze he noticed that somewhere throughout the fight they had moved away from the main battle, but the craze of battle continued to glitter in his green eyes. Jaws wide, he prepared to end their life when she suddenly felt claws tear him away.

Aasim spun around, a clawed paw extended to tear into his new enemy. But what he saw stopped him in his steps. Traitor, was all he could think as Grímur placed himself between him and the lioness. "You would dare... his voice quivered in rage or betrayal, Aasim could not tell. The black lion he had called one of his best friends met his gaze with a confident one, one so unlike the Grímur that Aasim had grown to know. "I'm sorry," Grímur said in a solemn voice. The two old friends stood off against each other, green eyes meeting pale grey. Without a word, the lioness and his friend left, the scent of their blood and sweat lingering gently in the air.

So he's betrayed me for a pretty lioness, Aasim thought bitterly. His stare rested somewhere beyond the horizon in the direction the two had left. Anger clawed at his insides and he had to push it down lest he run after the two and tear them limb to limb. Turning his eyes to the ever present stars, a cold resilience fell over him. "Let us never meet again" he murmured darkly.

Blood in Water, Blood on Paws
Events had turned decidedly worse since the day of Grímur's betrayal. His mate had not seemed as upset about the encounter as he'd hoped. He began to fear that she too was having second thoughts about her loyalty, but he was too scared to believe it. To make matters worse, Merikh was beginning to turn to more brutal tactics. Aasim had caught the eye of the Air-Elemental and those close to him. It was only a few small fragment of time after the betrayal that one of Merikh's commanders approached him with an assignment from the leader. Their task? To burn a group of rebels from their dens. Aasim was mortified by the request and fought to reject the demand, but at the promise of protection for his family he reluctantly agreed. So on he went and in the midst of night, he murdered the lions living within the forest to the south of one of the pride's main bases. Even long after he had done the deed, the scent of burned flesh and fur clung to his coat and clogged his nose.

When he returned home, his mate immediately knew something was wrong. "Aasim?" she called gently into the darkness of their cave. Aasim was silent, even to his mate's call. When Vera reached him, he pressed his head into the neck of her fur and then he began to tremble. "It's okay" her soft voice rumbled soothingly. She said this despite knowing what he had done. The scent of the effect of his lava abilities was more than enough to give it away. Aasim said nothing as he continue to cry into the shoulder of his mate. After many hours, he finally composed himself. "Thank you." he whispered hoarsely. He couldn't stand the look of pity and sorrow in his mate's eyes.

He figured he should explain to her what he did, but before he could an older lion ran into the den. "The leader requests the presence of all capable warriors. Come immediately," the lion just about demanded. Before he could get a reply, the lion ran back out, probably to gather more warriors. The mates looked at each other before Aasim spoke in a grim tone. "You're staying here," he told her. He expected her to argue like she usually would, but this time she was silent. He narrowed his eyes and was about to question her, but the sound of voices outside made him realize he had to leave. "I'll see you later, love," he said, nuzzling his head against the white lioness'. "Goodbye, was Vera's reply. There was a ring of finality that Aasim failed to pick up. "Stay safe," she whispered as he left.

The shining of the stars lit up the forms of lions as they gathered eagerly to hear their leader's command. Aasim sat in the back of crowd, tilting his head up slightly to look to where the Air-Elemental was making his way to a high position. Merikh stood at the top of a boulder, gazing coldly into the crowd. His eyes met Aasim's for a second before slowy drifting away, but not before sending a shiver down the younger lion's spine. The great tyrant did not even need to say anything for everyone to be quiet, for everyone gave them his full attention the second they saw him.

"Greetings," Merikh's melodic voice reached every corner of the camp. "I have gathered you all here today because of the recent events of the war. Victory is within our grasp. The rebels threatened to tear our pride apart, and now it is time to finally put an end to their terror." Chatter quickly took hold of the pride but was quickly silenced by a mighty roar. Aasim flinched at the sound, his ears already pinned back at the idea of what was to come."Now is the time to make them face the consequences of their actions!" Aasim was distraught by the cheers that followed his statement. And when Merikh revealed his plans to follow his speech, he felt sick to his soul.

***

Aasim followed the leader along with the other warriors who accompanied them. They didn't have to travel far before coming upon a small gathered group of rebel survivors by a lake. Their dull eyes watched them with distaste. He looked at each rebel's face with a feeling of sympathy for the breaking lions. The pride group came to a stop a few points away from the rebels. Everyone watched, some with fear and others with hidden emotions, as Merikh stepped forward.

"Do not look so glum dear lions. I have come to give you such wonderful news. We are offering you a chance at life. And you only have to do one simple thing," the Air-Elemental said. "Swim across the lakes waters, and we will set you free." The rebels were frozen in shock at the sudden offer. No one moved for one second. Two seconds. Three. Then joy and hope lit up their face. Before anyone could speak, one of the rebel males broke from the group and leapt into the water. What happened next would scar Aasim's mind forever. The lion began to screech in pain as the water seemed to burn him alive. He thrashed around before going limp and silent, and his body sank to the depths of the pool. Gone.

The panic was almost immediate. The rebels ran screaming in all directions as long as it was away from the lake. Steeling his resolve, Aasim ran towards the closest rebel trying to flee. The lioness turned to him in fear, a small cub in her mouth. For a moment he imagined them being his mate and cub. He imagined the terror and pain they would go through, and the heartbreak he would feel at hearing of his family members' deaths. But this lioness and her cub wasn't them. No, he had to do this so that he could protect his family from a fate like theirs. His eyes hardened and without a second though, he charged into the lioness. The force sent her flying, It happened so fast. One moment he was charging towards her, the next she had dropped her cub as she was sent hurtling into the water. Screams of pain erupted from the lioness and more echoed around her as more lions were tossed into the deadly waters.

He turned his attention back to the cub whom the mother had dropped at impact. The small creature gazed up at him in absolute terror and sadness. "Forgive me, little one." With a single strike, he killed the cub. It was the best he could do, lest she suffer in the water like the others.

Soon every last rebel was gone. Aasim looked at the scene of their crime with grim eyes. It was such an overly cruel act, a heartless one. But it was what he had to do to keep his family alive.

Gone
Aasim lumbered into his den in a daze. They had just returned from tossing the rebels into the lake, and he could feel himself slowly crumbling. He stood in the center of their cave, staring into nothingness before he noticed a change. It was empty. Panic exploded inside of him like a burst of molten lava. Where are they? his mind screamed. "Vera?" he called out hesitantly. There was no answer. "Vera!" His calls became more frantic and soon he was calling the names of his cubs as well. He ran through a tunnel that lead to a small space where he and his mate slept along with their cubs when they were newborns. Upon seeing no one, he knew that they were gone.

He stood with his wings lifted up slightly and his chest moving up and down in quick, short breaths. Memories of his mate's change in attitude throughout the war sparked in his mind. Her fear for her cubs. Her paranoia that the rebels would win. How easy it was today to make her stay home today. Slowly he put two and two together. Somehow she had known what was going on, and while he was gone she took the cubs and left. She joined the rebels.

Aasim stumbled backwards before sinking to his belly. His wings arched forward to cover his head as betrayal, confusion, depression, and even anger consumed him. Time slipped away from him as he seemed to lay like this for an eternity before he could finally bring himself to his paws. He considered fleeing the pride and joining them, but he knew that Merikh wouldn't be so stupid as to allow a Lava-Elemental to escape. No, he must find his mate and convince her to return. He had gained enough status that perhaps he could vouch for Vera and his cubs. At least he hoped.

And so began his search. In every battle he fought, he found himself searching for the white and black striped coat of his mate, his best friend. Yet time after time he would think he saw a glimpse of her, only to find himself imagining things. As the weeks dragged on, he continued to prove his worth on the battlefield. He was not happy, but he did was he had to. He had to believe that one day his family would return. He was appointed by Merikh to lead some attacks, a commander of his own ruthless squad. More and more bodies piled up, and one day, a lioness with a white striped coat was among them.

There was a skirmish going on, one of the last ones to come. Aasim fought valiantly, injuring and although not commonly, killing his opponents. He had been caught up in a fight with an exceptionally large when the fight turned on him for the worst. The lion had managed to trap him in earth, disabling him from moving. He couldn't summon any streams of lava either, for he was too exhausted after hours of fighting. Aasim watched in a cold fascination as a spike made from stone leveled itself at his eye. He tried breaking his bonds, but his smoke and scorching could do nothing against the earth that held him. Then it was hurling at him, coming closer and closer. About an inch away from him, it crumbled. A figure leapt at the Earth-Elemental and disrupted his concentration on the spike and the rock that kept Aasim imobile. Aasim quickly turned to face whoever had saved him, only to see his world come crashing down. The lion turned on its attacker and in a second had their neck between his jaws. Aasim realized in a jolt that his savior was none other than Vera. He immediately sprung into action and lunged at the lion, sending a pulse of Death that rendered him dead in a heartbeat. But he was too late. Deep holes punctured the neck of his mate and every breath was a struggle. Using his Death Touch had made him even more tired than he already was, so dragging his mate away from the scene of battle had him collapsing. He nuzzled her body, his eyes pleading for a response. "Vera?" his voice trembled. All was silent for a moment before the lioness stirred gently. "Aasim?" Her words were slurred as the blood loss and lack of air had already begun to cloud her mind. "I'm so sorry," he practically sobbed out the words. Vera lifted her head slowly and gave him comforting lick before letting her head fall once more. "The cubs are safe," she whispered. Then she spoke no more.

Aasim looked at the still body of his mate, a single tear curling down his snout before falling onto the stone. Sorrow racked his body. His best friend, the only one he'd ever love- was gone. And with her life, so were his cubs, forever lost to him.

The sound of battle had long since ceased. Rage and absolute hate rose from within him. The rebels did this, he thought, they took them away from me. A dark fog fell upon him. His mind called out for the blood of the rebels to be spilled, and something sinister began to twist in his heart. "Let them all rot for what they've done" he snarled into the air. The rebels would pay for their mistakes. But that was not to be.

The Death of a Dream
The pride was panicking. Rumors spread of the rebels' potential victory, and everyone began to fear for what would happen to them if they lost. Even Aasim was disturbed by the news. After all of this, they would lose? No, that couldn't be! And yet the Alpha had called him to his den only moments ago. The pride was falling, and Merikh knew it.

Aasim arrived at the den to see many of the other high ranks awaiting Merikh's news. He must've been the last to arrive, because right when he entered, Merikh began to speak. He told them of his plan to kill the Dream Lionesses so that they would never fall into the paws of the rebels. Aasim and the others were to oversee their deaths, or to take them themselves. If Aasim was distrubed by his leader's decision, he didn't show it. They had no choice but to follow their leader's commands.

They waited until night when everyone was asleep before creeping to where the Dream Lionesses slept. Aasim sat back and watched the deed that was about to be done. He was to make sure that all lionesses were killed and everyone left immediately so as to avoid being caught.

The others looked at each other as they positioned themselves by each Dream Lioness. When all were ready, they turned their attention to Aasim who gave a solemn nod. On an unspoken signal, every lioness was killed within seconds of eachother.

Some of the younger lions fled immediately, unable to handle the wickedness of what they had done. An old greying lioness murmured a quick prayer of a peaceful afterlife for the Dream Lionesses before she too left. Aasim bowed his head, his wings folded neatly on his back in a figure of respect for those they had taken the lives of. It was a waste of lives, but Aasim learned long ago that there was no escaping the monstrosities of war, lest you wish them upon yourself. Instead of returning to his den, Aasim found himself curled upon a cliff that he and his mate used to visit long ago in happier days. The quiet chatter of the animals of the night resounded around him. The sounds and sights only brought sorrow to his heart. He watched the stars before falling asleep where he lay, dreaming of his family lost to him. But they were not good dreams. No, they were dreams of blood, shadows, and a strange fog.

The Fall
Merikh was dead. The news spread like a wildfire among the pride, settling fear among the few remaining members of the pride. A plan was made among him and six others to leave their home planet and travel to Earth where they would take refuge. The others had gone through the arch portal the morning of the death of the Dream Lionesses and Merikh, and Aasim believed he was the only one who had yet to leave. The rebels were advancing quickly and by the time he had said goodbye to his home, they were only an hour or so away.

Aasim followed the directions given to him, running as fast as he could to make it to his destination. Just as he was about to enter the line of vision of the portal, a large but young lion leaped into his path. Aasim bore he fangs at the young lion. "Get out of my way, Rebel," he sneered. The lion had a cocky gleam in his eyes as he said, "no more Traditionalists are allowed to escape. You're coming with me." Aasim let out a loud, taunting laugh. "You're just a cub!" he chortled. Anger flashed behind the lion's eyes and he crouched down to prepare to attack. Taking the hint, Aasim assumed his own battle position with his wings slightly spread out.

Aasim was the first to attack. He sent a wave of ash at his opponent and then darted forward, his horns glowing red with heat as he prepared to strike. However, he struck nothing but air. He felt the sharp sting of claws in his side and he quickly beat his wings to throw off the balance of his attacker. He whipped his tail out and was satisfied to feel it pierce skin and give off the smell of scorched flesh where it touched. An angry roar erupted from the young male and he once again attempted to pounce on Aasim. Aasim dodged however and tried to take off flying, but to no avail. Confused, Aasim tried to move but he couldn't. Telekinesis, he realized in horror. Before he could react, he felt a massive pain in his back. The hold on him was released and he fell to the ground, trying to move the wings that were no longer there.

The young lion suddenly backed away, horror shimmering beneath his eyes. He spluttered something unintelligible and took off running, leaving Aasim to bleed to death just a few feet away from what would've been safety.

So this is the end, Aasim thought through the pain. It was all for nothing. And to think it'd be a mere cub who couldn't control his powers that would kill me. A bitter laugh escaped his lips, followed up by a splattering of blood as he coughed. He closed his eyes and rested his head upon the cold stone ground. At least he would join his mate, and maybe his cubs.

"Don't think such a thing," a gentle voice chidded. Aasim flinched at the sound and he raised his head in annoyance. Can't I just die in peace?" His eyes finally focused on the lion before him- or lioness, actually. What he saw he couldn't believe. There before him stood his beloved Vera, her form shimmering a spectral dark blue. Her eyes were just as loving and wise as he remembered, and he felt a sense of longing stir inside him. "Have you come to take me?" he asked hopefully.

Vera gazed at him in sorrow, but it was also firm. "No, my love. This is not the end you're destined for." Aasim blinked in surprise. "But I- he was caught off by his mate. How can I survive with such wounds? With such deeds against me?"Please forgive me for leaving you. It was the only way. The cubs... I knew the rebels would win. The signs were too clear. You must move on from this war. Something great awaits you. Something you could never imagine in our time." she paused. "Your journey beings on Earth... I love you." Aasim tried to ask her questions, to continue to speak to her, but she cut him off once more. "Goodbye, Aasim."

"But, Vera!" he yelled, but she was already gone. Just that like, she was erased from his life once again. He forced himself to stagger to his paws and he was shocked to find that there was no more pain. He felt something press against his flanks, and when he looked back he saw two large wings formed from hardened lava upon his back. They were the same weight and just as flexible as his old ones, but they were stronger and tougher. Confusion rang clear in him as he gave them a few beats, stunned by the large gust they gave off. His senses made him aware of the Lava-made substance that formed it. I couldn't have done that... He looked in the direction the apparition had appeared, a soft sigh escaping his mouth. Hesitantly he turned to face the portal. He took his first step forward and felt a sharp prick in his paw. Liquid forced its way up his veins, and before he could even realize he had been poisoned, he was out cold.

When he awoke, he found himself in the rebels' base.

Interrogation

A figure paced within the shadows of the cave. The captured member of the Old Pride sat shackled, unable to see who was the one who interrogated him. All Aasim knew was that it was a member of the rebel, and his answers to their questions would decide his fate.

The hidden rebel was quiet, playing his games with Aasim's mind. He let the silence drag on and let the once powerful male question what awaited him. At last, the rebel spoke, his voice smooth and holding no emotion. "You thought you could escape punishment," the interrogator stated. Aasim said nothing. instead opting to gaze into the darkness with a lost expression. When the rebel heard no reply, he got straight to the point.

"Were you involved in the Death of the Lake Cubs and Their Families??" This was a question that Aasim had been expecting. While before he had felt confident in his actions, he now only felt guilt and a deep sense of self-resentment. "Yes," Aasim responded. He had nothing left to lose. He was already captured by those who wanted nothing more than to see justice done upon him. When the rebel pressed him to continue, Aasim explained. "I was just another warrior in the pride doing what my leader asked, and I believed that by doing so I was protecting my family... I was misled," he spoke in a manner that reeked of defeat and despair. "Why did you think you were protecting your family?" the rebel asked, his voice continuing to withhold any signs of his thoughts. "The Air-Elemental, Merikh. His cruelty knew no bounds. At the time it was seemingly obvious that he would win the war and kill my family had we sided with you."

Aasim could feel the eyes of the other lion meet his through the darkness. The silence etched on, but straining his ears Aasim could hear the quiet whispers of those judging him out of sight. Just when Aasim thought he couldn't stand it anymore, his interrogator spoke up.

"What about the Dream Lionesses? Did you help kill them too?" Aasim had expected this question too, but he was surprised they hadn't questioned his motives further. "I was there to oversee their deaths, but I myself didn't kill them... I suppose you think me guilty all the same?" Aasim wouldn't be surprised if they did. Whether or not he had killed them himself, he had still sat by and watched- no, made sure, that they were killed. He was no more innocent than the lions who slit their necks. He was questioned throughout the day about his life before the war and the events that followed during it. He expanded upon his reasons for his actions and even spoke about his mate's betrayal. He thought perhaps mentioning that he no longer had a family to protect would make his reasoning seem null, but the rebel made no further comment. Instead, he said, "You are dismissed."

Two guards came over to Aasim and shackled him in ice. They escorted him over to a small cell that was heavily guarded by rebel warriors. There he waited for three days until he was once again brought out to be judged. It was a different lion today, at least that's what Aasim could tell from the slightly deeper voice of the lion who spoke to him now. "Aasim, son of Syveth and Lyrel. Previous member of the Pride, a lion known for your ruthlessness and high status within the pride. We have heard your story and we have drawn a conclusion." There was a pause before the lion continued to speak. "You have led us to believe that you committed the crimes you did on the belief that doing so would protect your family from the Air-Elemental. Is this the truth?" Aasim's reply did not come as fast as it had previously. "Yes..." was his answer, but he knew that at first it had been to protect his family until later it turned into something else. His actions became a vendetta, a vengeance. But he couldn't tell them that, they would kill him for his guilt.

Aasim had never before felt so disturbed by the silence that followed after each question. Especially now at this defining moment that would decide whether he will live or die. He almost couldn't believe the words that broke the quiet. "We are giving you the opportunity to be forgiven, or to remain in your ways and face death." Aasim pondered the decision. Of course they would not give him time in case he were to scheme up a plan. No, they expected him to decided now. No, he thought, I realize that I was in the wrong and will not continue to justify my choices. Yet... "And if I wish to be forgiven?" he asked. He had a feeling that he would not like the answer.

The other lion's eyes glinted in the dark as he said, "You will spend the next six hundred years locked away." A sigh tore itself from Aasim's lips. He had known that this was a possible result. It was too much to hope for to go unpunished for his crimes, but he couldn't help the feeling of dread for what was to come. "What happens after that?" he asked, his voice firm. "You will go on a permanent probation, but you will also become a member of the New Pride. Be aware that you will not be so easily accepted, but you are free to try." There was not a drop of emotion in the lion's voice, but it didn't make it any less obvious that the rebels would prefer him dead. He wondered why he was even given the chance...

"Do you accept our offer?"

Aasim had nothing left to lose. What was he going to do anyways? He couldn't very well walk freely in the world, not with the wrongs he's done. So many had died by his will, all because of his twisted beliefs. Although he did not completely regret his actions against the rebels, a deeper, more innocent part of him knew that it was the monster part of him that tried to reassure himself. It was the small voice that convinced him that he could not go on the way he was. And so with that thought in mind, he swore his life to imprisonment.

**Questions Unanswered*
All other necessary questions have been reworded and answered in the interrogation (the bolded + underlined text)

Where would Aasim's allegiance lie on the new LOC home world? With Ethereal and the pride? With Arknon? Or Neutral?
If Aasim had been born in the pride in new LOC home world, he would have always sided with Ethereal and the pride. His loyalty to his family is greater than his ambition, and the only reason he hadn't sided with the rebels when his mate and cubs left was because he hoped that he could vouch for them when the rebels were defeated- if they were defeated. If Aasim does not have the threat of a tyrant's wrath over his family, he would be Neutral if his family so please but he nor his family would ever side with Arknon if given the decision.

Escape
Aasim sat in the cell designed for him. He had been sitting there for days with only the company of the guards to keep him entertained. He was given small portions and dull food everyday, but that was to be expected. Yet, he couldn't imagine living like this for the majority of the remainder of his life. How he longed to be free, to do what he wanted. But then again, what was he to do in a world that hated him? He could go to Earth like his mate requested, but then what? Rot away with the other defeated murderers? Not that he wasn't doing that already. When he was free, he would go to Earth. There was no other choice.

It was the middle of the night and Aasim lie awake on the stone floor with his wings spread out on either side of him. His green-yellow eyes shone in the dark, simply watching the shadows. Memories haunted him, reminding him of all the horrible deeds he did before the death of his family and the even crueler ones committed after. He still felt a lingering hatred towards the rebels, but now that he was out of the thick of the war he had time to sort out his thoughts and feeling. Vera would not want him to continue this grudge he held.

A tingling sensation on his neck snapped him out of his thoughts and his eyes narrowed to annoyed slits.
'Come to kill me?"
he asked darkly. He pushed himself into a half sitting position and turned around to get a look at who had crept up on him. A black figure stood a few paces away. "Of course not, the lion began, "how could I kill my best friend?" Aasim's eyes widened, a feeling of happiness rushed through him which quickly turned to anger. "Grímur? Is that you?" This fool! Why I'll-

Grímur hissed. "Quiet! he whispered. "Yes it's me. I've come to help" Aasim glared at his old friend. "You? Help? Pah! Last time I expected your help you went and turned on me." Grímur let out a soft sigh. "Aasim... I don't have time to explain. Please believe me, we have to go now if you'll have any chance of escape." The two met each others eyes, Aasim looking to be on the verge of attacking. After a moment of silence, Aasim gave a reluctant nod. It was his only hope, after all. "Very Well." Grímur padded to the back of the cell and suddenly the shadows seemed to spring away from the wall to reveal a hole just large enough for Aasim to fit through. "This should bring you to just outside the prison. You'll have to sneak past the guards to get out of the camp. Once outside, look for the twin bleeding trees, There you should be able to figure out where you are." Aasim dipped his head, "Thank you," he said in a sincere voice. "Now go!"

Aasim padded quietly through the tunnel. As he was told, he found himself near the center of the camp. He slunk through the shadows cast by the night, hoping that for once the light from the stars would not shine too brightly on his scales. When he finally made it out of the camp, he let out a deep sigh of relief. He turned in a full circle, scanning the area for the tree that Grímur had spoken about. He spotted them almost immediately and ran over to them. Recognition filled his mind and he took off in the direction of the arch portal. In no time it loomed before him, appearing seemingly ageless to time. Aasim paused in front of it, his front left arm slightly raised. He hesitated only a second longer before stepping through the portal to Earth. To freedom at last.

Destiny Awaits
He had been on Earth for about two days. The other lions greeted him with more or less warmth. They were going to be the only lion contact they had for the next few hundred years, but that didn't mean they'd get along. Aasim preferred to spend his time alone, away from the others. He hadn't spoken much since he arrived and he sensed a bit of suspicious from the other lions. The fact he had arrived later than expected made them want to question him, but his status and the rumors about him during the war kept them from doing so. They respected him, if not even slightly feared him, and Aasim was happy with that.

Aasim laid by the base, his body more than half submerged in the sand. He enjoyed the sensation of the sun on his scales and the heat of the grains warm against his body. He had just begun to doze off when the presence of a large group of foreign smelling lions awoke his mind. A single yellow-green eye opened to peer at the group who were escorted by Lazarus. None had seen to notice him lying covered by the desert land, and so he followed after them when they entered into the cave. He padded quietly into the shadows, making sure to stay behind the group should they try anything. Thee group were speaking to the leader of the group of seven Traditionalist lions who had escaped, him included. He listened in fascination to their tale, and unlike his leader, he considered their words. Long after they left, he continued to ponder their words.

Eventually the others realized that this portal that the odd lions had spoken about could be their ticket to a new life. Once again, Aasim found himself pondering his mate's words when she had shown herself to him as a spirit. So when the others decided to pursue the group, he followed.

At first they tried to ask the group if they could accompany them to their time nicely. However, when they refused the group of seven fell onto their backup plan. The second his leader knocked Lazarus aside, Aasim sprinted towards the portal. He would not let this opportunity pass him. With one final bound, he flung himself through the portal, landing with a thump onto the stone floor on the other side. He skidded to a halt, his wings flaring out beside him. Baring his fangs, he glared all around him. A chill ran through him at the sight that greeted him. "This world... it is not like our," his deep voice rumbled. "Let's hope you're all up for a challenge!"

Merikh's false promise to the Lake Lions was quoted from a story by Starry, so credit goes to them for that part ^^

Also I want to give a huge thanks to my lovely friend Keen for making a last minute banner for me <3

Sorry for such a big bulk of writing! I couldn't do art other than a simple tradition headshot because I happened to be busy almost the entire time of the event, not to mention I have 0 art skill whatsoever :p My writing isn't the greatest either but eh, I did the best I could ^^ Since I couldn't figure any lions to make relationships with, I decided to make up new characters that could hopefully become customs someday if I win. With that said, good luck to everyone competing for a lion <3 The winner may keep the headshot if they wish, but I will keep the music I commissioned for myself :)

“Life is a precious thing…”
calculating kind Quiet justified self-preservation independent
Calculating: “shrewd; cautious” — Due to the age in which Atropa was created, she learned to think on her toes. Living during a time when anyone could kill you forced Atropa to always be on her guard. This led her to be distrusting of others without proof of their worthiness. Because of this trait, Atropa often appears to be rude.

Kind: “mild; gentle; clement” — For Atropa, kindness was an unfavorable trait during the violent era, as it made decision-making difficult. This was especially true in regards to the lake massacres. However, after returning to the home planet, she rediscovered her surpressed kindness and learned that it could be a useful tool in gaining allies. She is not known for angry outbursts.

Quiet: “restrained in speech, manner, etc.; saying little” — Atropa learned early on that one of the best ways to survive is to pacify those more powerful than you. Because of this, she adopted the habit of only speaking when necessary, never bragging, and never openly opposing another’s opinions. Atropa speaks mostly through her actions.

Justified: “to show (an act, claim, statement, etc.) to be just or right” — Though Atropa knows many of her past actions are wrong, she justifies her decisions by comparing them to the conditions of the world in which she lived. To this day, she does not regret any of her decisions. She believes that she acted only to ensure her survival and also to further LoC as a species. Many believe she has a "high and mighty" attitude, which isn't completely wrong.

Self-preservation: “preservation of oneself from harm or destruction” — This is perhaps Atropa’s greatest flaw. Atropa was conditioned by the era in which she lived to do anything necessary to survive. As a result, she has made choices which many view as criminal. Atropa could care less about what others think of her or her actions.

Independent: “not subject to another's authority or jurisdiction; autonomous; free” — This trait only revealed itself after Atropa’s return to the LoC homeworld. Fighting for survival and in other lions’ wars for such a long time gave Atropa the desire for an independent lifestyle. When she returned to a world of relative peace, she chose to live separately from the pride. She is still not accustomed to living without a threat at every turn.

╔══════════════════════════ The Face Behind the Mask ══════════════════════════╗

{ Who are you?}
xxxxxxxI am called Atropa. I was created in a time when the Lions of the Cosmos were but a young race. We were powerful beings, gifted with the ability to control various elements. I myself had been born with powers over earth and life. But however powerful we were, our race is but a fragile one. It was not long before we turned on one another…
xxxxxxxIn my time we were a primitive people where the strongest survived and ruled. I learned to fight at a very young age while the older lions fought for power and control. It wasn’t long before our relatively small battles turned into an all out war, when a powerful air bender rose to power… Merikh. Merikh and his followers proposed a new order for our race, a way to bring peace and end the fighting. HE declared himself ‘alpha’ of the pride. Having known violence and fear all my life, the chance at peace sounded like a good option to me….

{ “We were at war…” }

In the beginning, I opposed Merikh, fighting on my own with a small army behind me. However, we were starting to lose the war…

xxxxxxxThe night was dark; a thick veil of clouds hung in the sky of the LoC home world. While the night seemed calm, a subtle tension hung in the air… The hills and rocky crags were lined with lions, in crude, primitive armor. Though the clouds hid them from sight, it was clear they were waiting for a battle to begin. Among them stood a proud looking lioness whose head was crowned with antlers. Atropa perched on one of the higher peaks, standing with some of the other stronger members of the army, as they awaited to move out. While Atropa possessed dual elements and was skilled in battle, she was not only there to fight. Her ability over Life made her very a valuable asset as a healer, especially to Galen. Galen was another air elemental trying to oppose Merikh, although his army was starting to struggle.
xxxxxxxAtropa glanced at her fellow foot soldiers. Beside her was a large male, his face freshly scarred from battle. Atropa felt a pang of guilt as she couldn't help him heal fully before he returned to the fray. This male was a case similar to so many of the other warriors that accompanied them. Galen instructed life elementals to save their strength until it was absolutely necessary to heal. The stone shouldered lioness turned her head away from the crowd around her and cast her gaze across the horizon, to where their enemy lay in wait.
xxxxxxxThe silence stretched on for hours until rays of light began to peek out from the hills ahead of Galen's army. As the light shone down into the valley, it revealed what they were up against… An army far larger than their own, crowded below them. Atropa froze with her eyes wide in shock, until a loud and booming roar rang out from amongst both armies. The fight had begun, both armies launching themselves into battle at full force. Atropa leaped down the hill as she charged towards Merikh’s forces. Her muscles screamed as she bounded closer and closer until she was amidst the fighting warriors, when she began to provide her aid immediately.
xxxxxxxIn the midst of healing one of her injured comrades, Atropa was attacked by a group of three lions. The lion she had been healing was killed easily, leaving Atropa to fend for herself. She stared at her opponents whose tails glowed with their elemental abilities. The three attacked all at once, though Atropa expected this. She erected a shield of earth between her and her foes, blocking their attack. Atropa willed the wall of stone to grown to an immense height before bringing it down upon her enemies, and even some of her allies as well. Once in the clear, the antlered lioness went back to fighting and healing, unconcerned about the effects of her attack.
xxxxxxxAs the battle raged on, Atropa and her companions slowly began to lose ground. Eventually, Galen's army was defeated. The day drew to a close and those who refused to back down were being picked off, one by one. However, even as several lions advanced on her, Atropa refused to attack.
xxxxxxx“Enough. I am a healer!” she roared, narrowing her eyes as she stared down her blood stained muzzle, praying her gamble would work, “I will follow Merikh, if you let me live…”

…I was young when I began to fight for Galen, but I wasn't about to die for something i didn't believe in….

{ “Then came the Massacre…” }

I was accepted because of my element, however, they demanded I prove myself.

xxxxxxxAtropa lay in a patch of grass which she had grown using her element. Her warm orange eyes flickered to watch those around her. Cubs and their parents surrounded Atropa. These lions were prisoners of war and she was guarding them. They were held captive with Merikh’s greatest weapons, a band of twelve lionesses with the power to control dreams. The adults eyed her cautiously because she was a guard, although some of the cubs had warmed up to her a bit, perhaps seeing her as protection. However, this was not the case.
xxxxxxx “Atropa…” tiny voice whined from amidst the silence of the prisoners. She looked down to see a small cub looking up to her.
xxxxxxxI’m hungry… when are we going to get food?” Atropa smiled down at the she-cub, who Atropa had started to become fond of. “Dont worry little one,” the green lioness said, nuzzling the cub on her horned and leafy head.
xxxxxxx “Atropa!” One of Merikh’s most trusted followers had called for her attention. “We are transporting the prisoners to the lake. Merikh wishes to speak to them.” Atropa sighed. Looking down at the cub, she feigned a smile, but did not wish to disobey orders. She got to her feet and gathered all the lions, including the little leafy she-cub, and led them to her new leader.
xxxxxxxWhen they arrived at the water's edge, Merikh was already waiting for them. Atropa glided to the side once reaching her leader. Her eyes were downcast, not wanting to risk the wrath of Merikh's anger. However, as soon as she was out of his sight, she held her head high and proud.
xxxxxxx “Welcome, I am Merikh, the alpha of the pride.” The air bender had a sickeningly kind smile upon his face. The expression caused a shiver to run down Atropa’s spine. She had been around long enough to know any lion with a look like that was dangerous. As the alpha continued to speak, Atropa’s eyes wandered to the faces of the prisoners. She was suddenly brought back to attention when her name was screamed at her. “Atropa! Were you listening?” Merikh roared at her, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. “I have given you all an order.” Atropa looked to her fellow soldiers, who all had grim looks on their faces.
xxxxxxx “Wha-what were the orders again, sir?”Atropa asked, looking back to her leader for information. She was only met with a sly smile when he shouted: “BEGIN!” With that, there was a sudden scream. Atropa swung her head around to see a lion being launched into the air before they crashed into the lake. Soon, other lions were flying into the air and were forced into the lake by Merikh’s followers. “Well, Atropa?” Merikh’s voice hissed into her ears as though Merikh was using his elemental powers to put his words there. “You were given an order, weren't you?” Atropa’s eyes widened in shock, she looked to the prisoners and met the terrified gazes of those she watched over, until finally meeting those of the leafy grey cub she spoke to minutes before…
xxxxxxxThe she-cub’s eyes were filled with terror and confusion as she looked to Atropa for answers. Atropa felt a pang of sorrow, but her eyes glazed over, unwilling to resist direct orders. “Yes… Alpha…” Atropa strode up to the prisoners, including the cub who would one day be known as Phycodurus.
xxxxxxx “The Alpha has spoken.” with that Atropa used her Trebuchet move, launching the captives into the air before they plunged into the lake. Atropa shut her eyes as their screams of pain pierced her ears. It was a sound she would never forget….

…I did what did to survive…

{ “I lost hope for our future…” }

I stayed with Merikh and his followers for years, until Galen finally regained his power and started to gain control…

xxxxxxxScreams filled the night air. Shadows darted across the landscape. Atropa raced alongside a purple colored male and a blue and green lioness. Behind them, lay a gruesome scene: the dream lionesses had been murdered by Merikh himself and he soon after them. The arrogant and prideful tyrant had refused to let Galen get his hands on his most prized possessions, even in his defeat. Now, Atropa and a couple strangers were fleeing from their home world. They were being hunted by Galen for their crimes against their species, whether they had followed Merikh or not.
xxxxxxxAtropa could still remember the look of horror on Merikh’s face as he met his end. She was beside him when it happened, as she was the last of his healers. However, Atropa ran to save her own life rather than attempt to save Merikh's. As she raced on, trying to keep up with her companions, she felt a sudden weight force her to the ground. A male far larger than her had caught up to them using his powerful wings. Atropa flung a massive rock at him using her abilities in an attempt to regain her ground. The male's wing was broken, yet he refused to retreat. He charged to Atropa as she got to her feet. Atropa’s eyes locked on to the male as he rushed at her. She refused to lose her freedom so easily... so she charged.
xxxxxxxThe two lions leaped at each other, the male reached with his claws outstretched to meet those of the lean lioness. But to his surprise, Atropa bowed her head mid-air and slammed her crown of antlers into his face and chest. The two tumbled to the ground and the male was dead. With no time to revel in her victory, Atropa freed her antlers from the corpse before racing after the others, using the earth to propel her forward and catch up.
xxxxxxx “Hurry now! They’re gaining!” shouted a large male, who flew above them with his large bat-like wings. Atropa ran faster as one of the planets magical archways came into view. “Quickly! Through the Arch!” another male shouted, before diving through the gate. One after another, the eight lions leaped through the swirling mist of galaxies, praying to find sanctuary on the other side.
xxxxxxxOnce through the gate, the seven lions found themselves in a forest, the sky pink as dawn approached, empty of the familiar stars of their home world. Atropa breathed heavily as she tried regaining her breath, her shoulder still bleeding from her bout with the winged male.
xxxxxxx “We made it…” someone whispered.
xxxxxxx “No… Not yet…” Atropa responded, “We must move beyond the gate. I can help make shelter once we’re far enough away.” The others, though skeptical of her suddenly authoritative tone, nodded and continued onward. Once a safe enough distance away Atropa and the other earth benders created their new home: a large stony cavern whose features greatly contrasted that of the surrounding landscape.
xxxxxxxNow thouroughly exhausted, Atropa flopped inside their new home. Everyone remained silent as their decision to leave slowly began to sink in. Quietly, Atropa’s tail shard began to glow as she used her powers over Life. A soft golden mist began to fill the room, wrapping around her new companions and easing their pain from their flight. It wasn't long before Atropa began to feel sleep and exhaustion tug at her eyelids, and she was soon fast asleep.
xxxxxxxA couple hours later, Atropa’s deep orange eyes fluttered open. She rolled over, her rocky sides scraping against the ground as she got to her feet. She walked past the still sleeping bodies of the others and strode out of the cave. She wished to take a look at her new home. Atropa walked silently among the Earthen forest, soon coming to its edge. As she looked out at the new terrain, Atropa couldn’t help but smile at the chance of starting a new life again.

And so, Earth became my knew home. It became a ray of hope for me and my companions.

{ “I don’t regret any of my choices…” }

xxxxxxxA couple days had passed since their arrival to Earth. Atropa and her companions were already starting to get used to life on their new planet when they received an odd set of visitors. One of the other lions who traveled to earth with Atropa, Lazarus, had brought an army of strangers to their doorstep. “What do you think you are doing back here Lazarus?!” The purple male growled, “I thought we made ourselves abundantly clear that when we made our way through the portal to Earth we would go our separate ways!” Atropa peered through the darkness as the two males conversed, eventually leading to a band of strangers walking right into their home. The lioness narrowed her eyes as a brown, thickly maned male declared himself as the group's leader.
xxxxxxxAtropa slinked closer, the darkness concealing her, save for the glowing tips of her antlers. She quietly observed the male, called Ethereal, as well as his troops. She stared wide eyed at their armor. It was so intricate and well-made, strangely different from the crude armor the armies wore. They couldn't have come from the world she had left behind, could they? As she scanned their ranks, her eyes fell upon two young warriors who bore features that were burned into her memory. Both were clearly siblings with grey colored pelts. However, the male bore long leaf-like growths and the female had dark horns. Atropa’s heart dropped… The cub at the lake! The lioness stiffened, remembering the little cub who put so much trust in her, but was betrayed… How can this be?!
xxxxxxxAtropa watched curiously as the troops left and she couldn't help but follow them, too interested to let them leave. The stone covered lioness watched the group from afar as they rested, amazed at their claim to be from a different time. Atropa sat down, sure her stony sides would help her blend in at a distance, however, she wasn't the only one sneaking about. “Who are you?” a voice said suddenly, causing Atropa to spin around to come face to face with a ghost: one of the dream lionesses stood before her. “Y-you! Atropa said unable to find the words to mask her astonishment. The lioness, possessing a single glowing horn stared at Atropa in confusion, “You're one of the lions from that cave aren't you? My name is Yvaine.” Atropa was silent for a moment… The last time she had seen the lioness before her had been when Merikh had slaughtered Yvaine and her sisters.
xxxxxxxAtopa quickly shook off her feeling of shock and responded to the lioness before her, “Yes. I am one from the cave. I am called Atropa…”

╔══════════════════ ♦ Relationships ♦ ══════════════════╗
Family:

Atropa was created not born. She has no parents or family.

Friends:

Pythia: This lioness, though initially having no recollection of her past, began to regain her memories as soon as she laid eyes upon Atropa’s familiar face, as well as the faces of the other Earthen lions. After speaking with Metsastys and learning the full truth of her past, Pythia chose to forgive Atropa for her actions, understanding the circumstances of the time in which they were committed.

Acquaintances:

Yvaine: As a dream lioness, Atropa recognized Yvaine but not the other way around. Atropa, feeling she owed it to the lioness who she abandoned to die before fleeing their homeward, is currently attempting to befriend her.

Damara: Another dream lioness possessing few memories of her past. Though not a sworn enemy, Atropa is still not completely trusted by Damara.

Lokaste: She doesn’t remember her prior life, and thus has no recollection of Atropa. However, Lokaste is starting to piece together her long forgotten memories, and whether she decides if Atropa is a friend or foe remains to be seen.

Lunaria: This lioness cares not about Atropa and her past. She wont forgive Atropa as she sees theres no wrong to forgive. The two have a rather neutral relationship.

Phylopteryx and Cladocora: Only having met briefly on earth, Atropa is very curious about the siblings. They give her hope that she didn't actually kill Phycodurus at the lake, and that she was saved somewhere else…

Ethereal: Atropa only met the male once, and the two exchanged very little. She explained to him her involvement with the Lake Cubs’ deaths as well as her involvement with Galen and Merikh. Long story short, she was very relieved when he explained he understood her actions and wouldn't punish her for them.

Phycodurus: The lake cub does not remember the lioness, but Atropa sure remembers her. Atropa was involved in the Lake Massacre and blames herself for Phycodurus’s death.

Enemies:

Atropa has no shortage of enemies. Many of the dreamers and lake lions find themselves unable to forgive her for her actions. This makes life in the modern time rather difficult for the antlered lady.

Metsastys: One of the few dream lionesses to remember her past, Atropa is greatly hated by this lioness. Although Atropa had no hand in killing any of the dreamers, she was still a willing follower of Merikh and that marked her as an enemy to Stys.

Somina: Because of her close relationship and trust with Metsastys, Somina to views Atropa as an enemy of sorts, though not as great an extent as Metsastys.

Nisanyafia: This lioness bears an exceptionally strong hatred towards Atropa and her companions. Atropa is especially hated because she was involved with the dreamers’ deathes, even though she didn't kill any of them herself.
╚══════════════════ ══════════════════╝

╔═════════════════ ♦ Fun facts ♦ ═════════════════╗
Atropa, having lived in a more primitive time, is in constant fascination with the traditions of the new world. She has a particular fascination with the modern armor the warriors have.
Atopa still isn't used to being back on the homeworld. She can often be seen taking long walks around the planet, observing the new scenery.
Atropa can be found on the ancient carvings that decorate the grand chamber. A carving of her can be found in a small and hidden section of the walls. Its of her at the Lake Massacre and then fleeing through the Arch.
The skull that decorates Atropa’s tail is actually that of an lion from Earth. She acquired it from another after defeating them in battle. After fleeing the home planet, she came to believe that her finding the skull was a sign telling her she would one day go to earth.

╔═════════════════ ♦ Required Questions ♦ ═════════════════╗
1. Atropa was actively involved with the Lake Cubs’ deaths, but was not involved in killing the Dream lionesses. However, she did interact with the dream lionesses prior to their death, acting as one of their guards.

2. When it comes to forgiveness, Atropa is kind of in the middle. She does not actively seek out forgiveness as she believes her actions were justified. However, if forgiveness is offered to her she will accept it, mostly to please the lion who's offering it not to redeem herself.

3. Tired of war and upon arriving to the new LoC home world, Atropa adopted a position of neutrality. She serves as a healer to all, believing that it doesn't matter which side of the war wins or loses, as long as the species is able to continue and survive.

Personality
{Blunt~Intelligent~Strategic~Reserved~Guilt Ridden-Unconfident-Postive-Lost}

Nakusa isn't always sure who she is, especially since coming back to her home world. Being left to her own devices, away from her mentors’ rule, she has realized, there is quite a lot she hasn't thought about in life. She is deeply intelligent, and able to figure through many situations and road blocks. In her time in the old pride, she created battle plans, and was open to advise any who asked. She can sort out many tough situation or problems, but lacks good communication skills. She can be too up front and factual with her answers, causing discomfort for those she advises. This doesn't stop her for being deceitful though, she can lie, and did so often for her mentor. Her short coming is that she is blunt.

Nakusa is learning independence. Even once she was on Earth, she found the need to follow those who were around her. A leader stepped forward, and she followed. In gaining her independence, she gained a great guilt. The weight of what she had done became a realization, one she could not push from her mind. She desires redemption, but feels like she can't get it. Nakusa doesn't believe in herself, and feels she's never stood for anything. This may make her easy to sway to either side. She doesn't see herself as powerful or intelligent, instead she sees herself more as damaged goods. Her mentor, while he didn't care about her, made her feel important, and of use. Without some voice telling her she matters, she has a hard time believing it.

Nakusa isn't against a war, and she isn't completely against violence. Violence is all she's known. She a fighter and a thinker, which isn't always the best combo. Being unable to stay in the pride, she lost having a leader, and thus, is lost herself. She's a little blind right now, and could be easily convinced that any one group is right. She is loyal, and she is no longer sure if she should stay loyal to her now dead mentor. She would be lonely, but surprisingly, the life of a nomad involves meeting other lions. despite all the negative parts of her life, she has a positive outlook on things. She has hope. She know the second chance she has is amazing, and she plans to do her best to not waste it. There is still an underlying anger in her, stemming from living in a time of hate. Push her buttons, and she may snap back in the most ferocious ways.

Her story

~When It All Began ~
Nakusa was very confused, confused the day she came into being. Though not a child, she was born, or more created more child like than some lions. She understood her powers, and followed in line with those around her as the formed a pride. A male lion, though the same age as her, took on the task of teaching her, and forcing her to grow, much to his disinterest. He bestowed upon her the name Nakusa, to represent how he felt. He wanted power, not to help some fool lioness who didn't deserve to survive if she couldn't figure things out like the rest. Resigned to his pupil, Nakusa's mentor began shaping her into the tool he needed. He found though very quickly that his bane could be his boon. Though childlike and confused, he found her powers were strong, and that she was vastly intellectual. He helped her hone in on this tricky skill.

In a few years she shed her childlike nature to form in a cold and blunt creature. Straight forward as she is, that didn't mean she couldn't lie. Lying was another trait her mentor taught her. She grew in grace and beauty, but also in ferocity and hate. Her mentor had one trouble with her, she was to intelligent for her own good. He needed a someone who couldn't think for herself, but instead Nakusa had a strong since of reasoning, and a sense of curiosity. Thus, once she was ready to take control of her life, he tired as much as he could to keep her from others of their kind. Nakusa served as what could be seen as a support role now a days. Her mentor though, found a second use for her, he was able to use her intellect to come up with things like battle plans and climb his way into importance in the alphas eyes.

-

~The Prides Downfall~
Nakusa often severed as a mouth piece for the alpha, making announcements in his stead. She because familiar with many of the prides tools and prominent, but often not their members. She had been taught that talk was cheap, and that what she could do for the pride was most important. While she did not directly trick the rouge lions of her time, or throw their families into the lake, she helped come up with the idea of the tricky test, and often escorted victims to the lake. Many lions would join to watch, but she was normally pulled away by her mentor, who felt they had more important things to do than gawk. As for the dream lioness, as a tool to the Alpha, she was one of the overseers of the group, and also gave them orders from the Alpha. They became some of the only lions she grew close to, even though this would have been looked down on, had anyone noticed.

She watched the pride crumble around her as they started to lose. Then her mentor fed her some exclusive information, if things got dire, the dream lionesses would be killed. Somewhere in her soul she felt unease at this news, but had no time to reflect on it, with the prides demanded for her work. No matter how much anyone else did, no matter how many battle plans she made, the pride could not be saved. The loss was eminent. The lionesses were killed, the alpha was dead, it was truly all over now. Nakusa never had time to even think of grieving for her alpha, or the lionesses. There was a frenzy in the pride, those trying to avoid persecution. Her mentor bumped into her flank. "You will run away, or jump into the lake, the rebels cannot have you", she heard him say, before his disappeared into the crowd of lions trying to flee.

Fear washed over the young lioness. She had only ever followed her mentors order and demands, but she did not want to die. She felt there was some value to her own life, and she thought of the emense pain she heard the lake caused. Still, where would she run. She knew she could not play off what she had done. She knew she must follow her instructions, but she knew not where she would go. She had little time, but as she stumbled around the pride, she felt for the first time in her life that she had no ideas. Her wanderings though, proved fruitful, as she stumbled upon a group on the run, willing to take another memeber. Part of the group, they were able to devise a plan, a plan for self exile. They made their way to a gate, a gate that would take them to Earth, where they would hide out, safe from those who would be after them.

-

~Welcome to Earth~
There they were, stranded in the desert. Nekusa felt uneasy, she did not know these lions well, but she didn't know how much they knew about her. She could not bring herself to speak, and planned to merely followed them to shelter. Her new pack though, needed her more than she had expected. While it had not always been needed in her work, her powers were strong, and her elements were always with her, leaving her with some water to ration out. The plants were sparse, she was able freeze what she could find, and from the ice pull some water out. Thus she was able to create a small storage of water for her lost comrades. She wanted to know their stories, but didn't have the guts to ask.

From the time they found shelter, to the time Ethereal and his team found the group, she continued to supply water as much as she could. Knowing that the one of them had been kicked out of the group, she felt that she could not be hated by those she was living with. Still, she had little contact with them overall. She mostly kept to herself, curled away in her own cave. She did talk amongst them, or at least, listened to the others. She felt bad for the lion who had disallowed to be part of the group, she did not even know his name. There was pain for her though, she missed her mentor, but she also didn't. He was all she knew, but the more she thought, the more she wondered if what they did was wrong. She in some ways enjoyed the light sense of freedom being away from him brought. Confusion began to riddle her days.

-

~A Surprising visitor~
Life seemed as if it was going to be dull and boring, there was little to do on the planet called Earth. Then one day, two lions entered their shelter. It was the lion, banished from their group, followed by another, foreign lion. This lion peaked her interest, for she knew she had not seem him before. She rose up, and walked into the main hall, but kept her distance, to listen to their conversation. Their leader scoffed at the idea that the lion could have been brought here by a spirit, but she chooses to believe that anything could happen. Their leader was angered, and the lion was turned away, much to her disappointment. Anything new would be more interesting than what their stay had been like thus far.

Her hopes were answered this time though, as the lion returned. He asked very interesting questions, but she felt her leader was jumping to conclusions just a bit. To her, this lion had never seemed a threat, not to them at least, and his confusion was evident. She couldn't know though, what was going on in the purple lions head, she hardly knew him at all. The new lion spoke of the dream lionesses, and she looked down at the thought of the them, a little saddened more from their loss than she cared for the others to know. She felt something akin to comfort though, looking at the Alpha, saddened by their loss as well. She wondered though, how he even knew of them.

They wanted to go home, they were trying to rebuild the arch. Part of her was rooting for them, part of her didn't want them to leave. While she had no contact, things felt less stagnant .Wanthing them to stay though, was selfish. they could have families after all. She wondered though, if these lions of the future planned to make them pay for their actions. She knew she would love to see the new pride, but not under the circumstances of prison. She began trying to calculate way she could lie, to possibly get herself out of a sentence, she wanted to get out of this cave, and off this boring planet. In her heart though, she though there was little chance, there were to many variables against her. Her action, their thoughts on her, what her comrades would even let her do, and those were just of few of the things against her. Besides, what were the chances they would be let through the arch anyways.

-

~The pride~
That's why it surprised her, when she first set foot into the future. This would be her present now, and that was a bigger change than she could believe. She she still felt shock though, as she looked at her home world, at how they got there. Their leader called them to the center, called a meeting. They talked over the lion Ethereal, if he was a time elemental or not. Nakusa, for once, was the first to speak out, saying she believed that it was true. They talked it over, and looked at the facts, and found that it it must be true. It wasn't long after that the group decided that they wanted to go back with the pride. The left without haste, wanting to join the group in time. Nakusa wasn't prepared for what went down, the disagreement, her leader trying to attack theirs, and that outcast getting hit. She followed her group, but feeling a little guilty, quietly spoke to the lion still on the ground, if he could hear her. "Sorry...but we have to", she said as she bounded though the arch.

She felt immensely lucky, to be able to have a life, and be allowed to live in the pride, instead of in prison. Everything would be better, or so she thought. Several of of the lions were giving a tour to those of the new lions who wanted one. Her guides had just showed her the healers den, when a dark colored cub walked by. Nakusa was perplexed, as something seemed familiar about her. The cub looked at her, maybe noticed her confused stare, and graced her with a smile. "Hi, I'm Marella!" the cub said. Nakusa, transfixed by by the glow of the cub’s tail, merely replied, "Nakusa." Marella didn't notice the pause, commenting "I like your fish." Nakusa smiled, and gave a light thank you. He smiled faded though, when she realized what about that glow had pulled her in.

She knew this cub. Not well, but she'd seen her. She had walked with her family, leading them to their death, she was a rebel child. Then there was a new fear, she was alive, but she had died. Unless something happened that she didn't seen, but then, she wouldn't be a cub anymore, would she? She looked up, and saw something else to strike fear in her heart. One of the dream lionesses, someone she had talked to. She knew they had died, this was certain. More than that though, she knew that she could not face her, on any other if they were alive. She looks at Marella and her guides, then turned, and ran off, leaving the three on lookers to look to each other and wonder what happened.

-

~On Her own~
Nakusa ran until she was tired out and built herself a little shelter. She thought of the cub, and how nice she seemed. It didn't matter though, because she couldn't face her. She felt like she couldn't face the pride at all. The dream lionesses where their too, and many lions in the pride would be friends with those groups, and that mean more who wouldn't like her. She wanted to help the pride, and its leader, but she feared the idea of living with them. Still, she had to find a way to balance things out. She had a place to live, she could go back, explain to someone, and have them tell the leader her plans if needed. She knew she could hunt, and take care of herself, so she knew that she could survive.

The next day Nakusa found one of her guides, She had gone straight to the lioness so as not to make any detours. She told the lioness what she thought was important. That she couldn't stay in the pride, that she wasn't sure how those lions where alive, but that she helped create the way the cubs died, and oversaw the dream lionesses. She told her that she wanted to help, and that she couldn't stay, knowing what she did to them. Finally, she asked the lioness to make sure it was known, that she would help the pride as much as she could, if she could. Before the lioness could even speak back, Nakusa had darted away, making her way back to her new home.

Relationships

Marella - She doesn't know the cub well, but her first impression of her was good. The cub seems very nice, and friendly. If circumstances were different, she would want to get to know the young lady. She fears that Marella may one day remember who it was that brought them to the lake. It's a confrontation she's doesn't want to face, so Nakusa sticks to to casual greeting if she sees her on her visits to the pride.

Tsukiyo - Nakusa doesn't know him very well, but remembers him from the prides visit to Earth. She somewhat admires how seriously he takes his role in the pride. From her own past, she knows that those who do so get the most work done. Had she stayed in the pride, he is of the same rank that she would have likely taken on,which gives her an idea of what she would have been doing. She thinks well of him, but hasn't spoken to him, because she hasn't figured out what she would say.

Malaika - Nakusa saw the cub once, with the warrior who found her. She didn't recognize Malaika, because the first cub she met was a child, and because she thought all the cubs lived in the pride. She has met her once, and thought that she was very nice. It was in sleep that Nakusa dreamt of the day her mentor came to her, and poked fun of a warrior who tried to save a rebel child. A rebel cub that she had seen that day, with at warrior. While she had nothing directly to do with Makaika's death, Nakusa still tires to avoid her when she can.

Nisanyafia- Having been one of the lion who oversaw the dream lionesses, she was shocked to find out that she no longer had eyes. Like most of the dream lionesses, Nakusa made it her mission to stay away from her. That ended up not working out for her, and the two had a run in. Like most she didn't seem to remember Nakusa, and seemed just a nice as she remembered. Nakusa might have thought she seemed too nice for a second, but had no reason to truly question that.

Ruby, Sapphire, and Gemstone - Nakusa met the trio by chance, but to her, it was good luck. The trio happened upon the area she decided to house herself in. She was much intrigued by their story, siblings who didn't want to part, a cub found by two caring souls. She was at ease with the three, whom took no concern, that she could see, in her past. They seemed more interested in learning about her and where she came from, then making any judgments. The four swapped stories, that day, leading Nakusa to believe she can trust them if she ever has questions.

Kiani - As the lioness who gave Nakusa a tour, and the one who delivered her message to Ethereal, Nakusa is very glad to have met this lioness. She remembers seeing her on Earth, as one of the lions in the second group they saw at the portal. Nakusa feel she can ask the lioness anything, though she is unaware that Kiani doesn't fully trust her.

Q & A
Were you actively involved with the Lake Cubs/ Dream Lionesses Deaths?

"You could say that I was. I walked with the rebels to their death, but never saw them die, but I... I was part of the group that decided that the lake trick would be good. I never knew...the cubs...I thought the families were only there to watch at first. Oh the lionesses. I knew them, I kept tabs on them for our alpha, gave them orders. I was not involved in their death, but as being involved with their use, I am just a guilty as those who killed them."

With the opportunity to be forgiven, would you choose to better yourself?

"You say they're alive...some cubs...all of the dream lionesses? I wish to be forgiven...but, I doubt that this is possible for me, not by them. I don't know that I can face them. I feel the guilt of my part in this, but I can not pretend that this is good enough for me to gain their trust."

Where would your allegiance lie on the new LOC home world? With Ethereal and the pride? With Arknon? Or Neutral?

"Ethereal is a truly good leader, to allow us into his pride. I feel that I owe it to him and his pride to give my support, and in the process, maybe I can find myself. I do not believe that I can live in the pride, though, not with my victims there. For now, I will help form the outside...maybe one day I can face them."

How do you really feel about the war?

"While I plan to help Ethereal, I'm not very sure. This pride, it's against what my pride believed. Sometimes I think I should join the rebels as my mentor would have wanted, but this lust for power, sometimes I feel it's wrong. I do not know what side I should pick; I think I need to know more. I choose to stand with the pride because, for now, I owe them for what they have done for me."

Why do you have fish with you?

"Form the start of my existence, water and earth has always been around me. In me of spare time, I use it to entertain myself. One day, while playing by a river, I accidentally caught a fish. It didn't seem to mind, and I like the company. From their, I caught a few more. I'm glad I did, because they've helped me not feel loneliness."

What do you like most about your powers?

"They can be deadly, or beautiful, it's all up to me.They're fun, and I've found great entertainment and enjoyment with them. Ive even created a home for myself with one of them. It is quiet nice."

    Gender;; Male
    Element;; Lava+Death

      Death;;
"A lion with the gift of death can: Kill anything they touch, create crippling wounds, can visit the dead or see dead souls"

        • Death Breath: Forces an Opponent to breathe in a deadly fume-like shadow emitted from the Caster's mouth. Best used if target is rendered still or pinned down. Damage increases with time and more movement. If left unnoticed or untreated will cause a slow and painful death.

        • Field Projection: Can emit a fume-like field around a small area, usually around the Caster's body, that can cause harm to any opposing forces. The longer one is exposed the harsher the effects. Can cause minor illness, confusion, delusion, light headedness. Easy for Life Elementals to cure. If left untreated, the target may go into a comatose state.

        • Infusion: Can infuse the armor of the Caster or Target with a deathly essence. Will cause small amount of damage to Opponents with each physical impact. Cannot cause fatal injuries but can slow the targets down.

        • Complete Wipe:May wipe out an entire team. May cause the death of the user in the process. User can control the extent of the wipe. Either only consuming one target or causing them all to feel ill, light headed, or to collapse depending on how much energy is inputted.

        • Rot Inducement: Can cause the Target(s) flesh or armor to rot with physical contact. The more an area is touched, the damage increases. May cause fatigue if used on more than two targets at a time.

        • Death Wave: Caster can create a wave of killing energy that engulfs the Target(s). Kills within minutes of being casted but causes the Caster to feel dazed, fatigued, hallucinate and high risk of harm or death. Can be cured by Life element with little serious aftereffects.

      Lava;;
"A lion with the gift of LAVA can: draw substance from the earth, scorch the ground, burn, blind with ash, as well as bend.
The true capability of a Lava wielding lion is unknown. "

        • Lava Immunity ; User is immune to lava/magma, being completely invulnerable to direct and indirect effects.Only to an external extent, meaning internal organs are still vulnerable if peirced.

        • Lava Bolts ; Launches low powered projectiles of lava from tail spikes. Causes mild burns upon direct contact.

        • Lava Pillar ; Pulls magma up to the surface to create large pillars. Will cause moderate burns upon contact. Used as a deteriorate or to capture.

        • Manipulation ; Can shape, generate, compress, and/or otherwise manipulate molten stone.

        • Ash Generation ; The user can generate burnt or charred matter within oneself. The user can generate three types of ash matter: solid-form, liquid-form, and gaseous-form ash. Solid-form ash it the generation of pure burnt ash matter. Liquid-form ash is the generation of wet burnt ashes. Gaseous-form ash is the generation of gaseous like state of ashes depicting a cloud dust.

        • Ash Wall ; User can create a solid wall from ash. Density is affected by the amount available and the use. Very easy to cast and requires little energy.

        • Ash Blast ; The user can release various amounts of ash over a specific target area causing great damage confusion and reduced vision. Can be heated and cause temporary blindness if in direct contact with target's eyes. Usually used for a smoke screen like effect.

      Name;; Gorgos
        meaning;; "Grim"
      Nickname;; Demon. Hellbringer. The Hunt.
      Age;; 85 years old
      Rank;; ---
Gorgos has no rank as he isn't part of the Pride nor the Rebels.
If he were to be given a rank, he'd most likely be a Fighter or Prison Guard.

      Image

      Personality;;
Aloof "Conspicuously uninvolved and uninterested, typically through distaste."

Gorgos is used to working and being alone and honestly prefers it that way. He won't go out of his way to join a group or interact with others unless its related to whatever work he had to get done. And even then, he'll usually go off own his own to do what he needs to do. He doesn't see the need nor does he have the desire to group together under normal circumstances.

Pompous ; "Affectedly and irritatingly grand, solemn, or self-important."

Gorgos is arrogant and confident in himself. He won't outright flaunt it around but he will let others know he's better than them or has more worth than they do. He sees nothing wrong in his words and in his mind he is what he believes. He's quick to but others down unless he gain his respect, which, so far, none truly have.

Ruthless ; "Having or showing no pity or compassion for others. "

Gorgos is violent and cold hearted during battles, not showing any remorse for his foes and at times, his allies. If they get in his way he'll remove the from his sight. He was trained to finish his job and move on. He doesn't have time to pity or regret what or who he finishes off. Begging or pleading only irritates him more.

Determined ; "Having made a firm decision and being resolved not to change it."

Gorgos is pretty set in his ways. He isn't about to change his ways or the way he lives his life just for some small reason. If it isn't going to benefit him he won't do it. Once he sets his mind to something that's it. Very little things can alter his views. In a sense this can be something seen as good but for others, it may not look that way.

Selfish ; "Lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure."
Gorgos is selfish and not caring about what others need or want. If he needs or wants it he's going to have it one way or another. He'll take on any task as long as the payout is good. He won't share what he sees as his.

Curious ; " Eager to learn or know; inquisitive."
Gor is very curious about this new world. And of a lot of things he doesn't know. He finds it interesting to see new things and find out more information. He isn't so much eager to learn about knowledgable things but more of the stuff he can experience or that will benefit him in the long wrong.

Dauntless ; "Not to be daunted or intimidated; fearless; intrepid; bold: "
Gorgos doesn't have many things that scare or cause him to stop in his tracks out of fear or nervousness. He might hesitate if startled but he'll quickly continue on with what he was doing, if not a little more annoyed. He'll take on any challenge no matter how dangerous or unappealing to others they might be.

Reckless ; " Without thinking or caring about the consequences of an action. "
Gorgos rushings head first into a lot of situations without thinking about what he's doing, only that he's doing it. "What will happen will happen" and he rushes into the fray. He isn't the brightest cat out there, but so far, his luck as paid off as he's still alive. He'll deal with whatever consequences when they happen.

Frank ; " Open, honest, and direct in speech or writing, especially when dealing with unpalatable matters."
Gorgos is quick to say what he wants and isn't one to lie or sugar coat things. If he has something to say, he'll say it no matter the time or place. It good in a way that he's honesty but it can get a bit prickly depending on what he has running through his mind.

Impartial ; " Treating all rivals or disputants equally; fair and just. "
He doesn't discriminate between age, sex, rank, or anything. However, this is more prominent on the battlefield. He'll take on any challenge no matter who he's up against. Cub or not. If they're strong, he'll fight them. The only exception to this is the weak. He does look down on them and treats them a bit poorer than the rest, but if he needs to he will fight them. It's just not something he aims for since it would bring him little amusement.

Loyal ; " Giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution. "
This is a tricky one. Gorgos has the capability to be extremely loyal. Taking the other lion over everything else. But for someone to gain his loyalty they first need to gain his respect. And few have gotten such positive reviews from this male. If the day comes and he meets a lion with such skills or demeanor that Gorgos admires or respects, they'll get his life in return.

Unfriendly ; "Not amicable; not friendly or kindly in disposition; unsympathetic; "
Gorgos has a hardened shell. He isn't easy to get close to and even more so if he doesn't want you to get close to him. He doesn't like others wasting his time and he doesn't like to waste his breath on others. It's best to keep away from him unless you have a task for him.

Malicious ; " Characterized by malice; intending or intended to do harm. "
He's early years have shaped him a lot more than he would think. He sees the world as either something that'll harm him or as something he can harm. He isn't out to make friends or have a family. His sole purpose is to fight and take down his enemies, whoever they may be.

Dutiful ; "Conscientiously or obediently fulfilling one's duty "
The one thing about him is that he'll complete any task he's given, no matter how difficult it is. If it may cost him his life, he'll still get it done even if he has to crawl back on the verge of death.

Naive ; "Showing a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment "
He's inexperienced to social niceties. And really, most social interactions that aren't negative. He wouldn't know how to act around others in a non-confrontational situation and would most likely take some time to adjust to the different body language and gestures. Positive and light hearted interactions were something he never experienced.

      Past;;
        00-40 years old;

        Creation And Training.

I don't remember how I to be, I just was. My earliest memory is pitch blackness. A times creeping warmth approached, fell, and approached again. It happened in cycles. Warmth and then nothingness. How long this went on, I'm not sure. I was unable to move the whole time. Stuck in a motionless void for what seemed like an eternity. One day, it changed. My body warmed from the outside in, causing me to stir from my slumber. Muffled voices surrounded me as i woke, my stiff limbs moving as my senses can to light.

I opened my eyes slowly, the bright starry sky burning as i squinted at the blurred frames before me. I stumbled to my paws, my wings slung limply on the ground. The others whispered, some taking steps back and others glaring at me. I opened my eyes fully, staring down at my paws. I glanced to my right and to my left slowly, taking in the scene. Bodies laid around me, the ground scorched black. It took me only a moment to realize it was me, who had done this, seeing the faces of those that had withdrawn a bit, it was obvious it wasn't them.

I tried to step forward, but i stumbled instead, my limbs unfamiliar and unsteady. I heard a lion speaking, aggressively and unsure, but his words were unknown to me. I watched them as i toyed with my wings, seeing where best to place them. They were murmuring and talking within their group. Faces angry and some afraid. One female approached from the rear, curious and thinking. She spoke to the male that approached me first. Whatever she said, he didn't approve. They argued for some time, the rest of the group dispersing as minutes went by.

By the time they finished their discussion, by wings were settled on my back and my legs listened to what i wanted to do. The male turned to me and growled, storming off after his group while the female approached. She spoke for a moment before realizing her words meant nothing to me. She stared at me a moment before motioning for me to follow.

It was years later that she had died. He left me with nothing more than what i was taught in the years prior. I understood their words and their ways. But the one thing i couldn't understand was the reason the male had broken apart after her death. As if no one else from this group hadn't died since my joining. After he "broke", i was trained to do all of their dirty work, something the female had been trying to avoid. I didn't protest and did as i was needed.

He trained me to use my element and the skills i needed to survive on the battlefield.

But that was pretty much all he showed me. I knew i was unneeded and it was just a matter of time before he tried to off me himself. Of course, he stepped up to my expectations and attacked me one night. He was quickly put out before anyone could notice. Not wanting to deal with the rest of the band then, i left in secret to run my life how i see fit. I no longer wanted to follow orders from someone with glares digging into my skull every time i turned my back.

        Image

        40-60 years old

        Wandering Spirit.

I had killed the one that found and trained me. I didn't regret my actions but it isn't really something i share with others, as it really has no meaning to me. I've wandered around the lands for some time. Fighting random battles as they came to me, big or small. It didn't matter what side i was on as long as i got what i wanted from them. I was given things in return for my aid. Food, items, whatever i could ask for. It was the only advantage i saw in working for someone else, even for the limited times i did. I usually worked alone during this time, rejecting any invitations to join others' groups. After living my first few decades in a band it held little interest to me now.

I had nothing else to do during this period, so i fought and trained. Working on my control over my Lava Element, gaining the ability to add ash into my arsenal. It isn't much use attack wise, but i found it's a great distraction during close combat and ill use any means necessary to win my battles.

There were times i was targeted by those who had previously used me. I found it amusing of course, but it quickly grew old. I learned a way to use my elements to ensure some hours of rest between fights. Very few lions are stupid, or brave, enough to approach a lion surrounded by something that can easily kill or injure them. It became a habit after i learned by own lava doesn't harm me.

I found a battle against the Rebellion. Somehow, The Olde Pride took notice of my advances during the fight and showed interest in me. They were quick in attempting to recruit me into their ranks. It took a few years before i gave in, the promise of a constant stream of fighting was too tempting for me to pass up at the time.

        Image

        60-85 years old

        Pride worker

I had grown tired of working with frivolous lions. My life has fell into a circle of similar things and it had begun to bore me. The promise of battles was enough to coax be into joining their ranks. I was thrown into battle after battle with the Rebellions, taking down lion after lion. I've fought death too many times to remember just to be knocking on her front door again and again. My actions didn't change, and i rushed into each fight with my claws unsheathed.

It wasn't long before the Rebels escaped to Earth, soon after their Cubs were pushed into the lake, with the exception of an interesting one, but that's another story altogether. With the deaths of the Lake Cubs and Dream Lionesses, the Rebels fled, and i followed after them. With nothing going on on the Home Planet, what reason did i have to stay?

I chased after the Rebels on Earth, taking care of those i found and watching the others until the time was right. Not even a few days past that a strange group appeared. None of them looked familiar and even the Rebels were uncertain of their presence. Their worried faces had caught my attention enough for me to follow after them while they were here. What was their purpose and who did they work for?

        Image

        Present.

        World Unseen

It was only days after the death of the Lake cubs and Dream Lionesses when these strangers appeared. I watched them from afar, curious about their arrival and their purpose. They didn't look like any lions i had seen before on the home world, though it is to say, i never truly paid much attention to any lions there. There were many lions that looked strong and it peaked my interest enough for me to continue following them throughout their short journey. Their distress and confusion amused me as i observed.

As i would have thought, they were unwelcomed guests to the weak rebels. But they still seemed determined to get their way. I kept a close eye on what looked like the leader, watching them from above. At some point, they were able to meet the leader of the Rebels. I had found my way in, hidden in the shadows, as they talked. Only half listening, all i picked up was that they were from the Home Planet and Arknon was dead. Lions from the future or were we just stuck in the past? I had no reason to carry on with my mission, though it was unlikely that i was until these strangers had left.

I was interested in knowing what they meant by their words and their concerns.

I continued to follow them around after that. They were working on one of the Arch ways, repairing it with each new piece that was discovered. With each passing day, my interest in them and the Home World increased bit by bit. To the point to where, when the time came for them to return, i mingled in with the others as they argued and pleaded with each other. I noticed the movement of a number of other Time lions, following their glances i knew what they were planning and decided to include myself as well. When they moved, as did I.

To say the least, the Alpha wasn't pleased to see the Time Lions and even less so with the changes of our Home Planet. I didn't wait long before moving along, away from the others, to roam and experience the new sights and scents. The World looked so different than it did a week ago but it was more interesting this way...

I'm not sure how long it's been since our uninvited arrival but I've seen some interesting things along the way.

        Image

        Views;;
Gorgos doesn't have many thoughts on things as of right now. I'm sure as he grows and experiences new things, he'll gain some thoughts of things and possibly alter the ones he has now.

The Olde Pride ; He felt little loyalty to them. They offered him what he had wanted most at the time. Battles and war. He followed their orders as it pleased him, taking advantage of the war to quench his boredom and to stretch his wings.

Past Rebels ; His job was to hunt them down and rid the Olde Pride of their headaches. And he did just that. He didn't care what they were fighting for as long as it continued to free him of his listlessness.

Pride ; The rebellion took over. And now those lions rule. Gorgos has no desire to join them, especially with their Alpha so disapproving of his and the other Time Lion's arrival. He's content doing his own thing but may offer his power if he's compensated well enough.

          Rebels ;
In his time frame, these Rebels would be the Olde Pride. He doesn't have any interest in these lions. He doesn't feel the need to join their ranks just because of who he was working for before coming here. If they offered him something he was interested in, however, his thoughts may change until he got what he was promised.

          Time Gap ;
Gorgos honestly doesn't understand the whole situation but he isn't too interested in learning the exact details. What he overheard was enough to affect his actions and now, there isn't any turning back. He can't say he doesn't believe it happened considering where he is now. Would he return to his own time? Does he want to go back? As of right now, he seems pretty interested in seeing this new world.

Dream Lionesses ; He was ordered to kill them but he showed little interest in the females. He didn't know of their powers at the time so he just thought of them as weak creatures that weren't worth his time. He regrets passing up such interesting prey but isn't interested in hunting them down now.

He's more curious than anything about how and why they're alive in this time. He also gains a bit of amusement to their reactions towards the other Time Lions.

Lake Cubs ; He was also requested to take care of the cubs from his time. But just like the Dream Lionesses, he didn't find it worth his time and effort to take the lives of such small targets. He let the other Pride Lions take care of it while he sought out other lions. He doesn't have any interest in killing them now but is curious about their rebirth and why some are still in their cub states while others aren't. The only cub he recognizes, he watched die days before coming to this time.

Yitma ; Gorgos watched as the cub drowned. Yitma being the only cub Gorgos had direct contact with, or at least, the only one he remembers well enough. Yitma seems to avoid the male while Gorgos finds enough interest in the cub to watch from if he happens to be around. He isn't exactly welcomed and he finds it amusing.

Eztli ; Gorgos has only met this male once. And the encounter was a hot one. Gorgos has some interest in Eztli and would love to take his head but it seems a bit of a pain to engage him right now. He only approached Gorgos after he approached Yitma. But he can feel the male's presence around the lake cub enough to know he's never too far behind the cub, so he'd be an easy find when that time comes...

        Image

        Beliefs;;
His only beliefs are "Only the strongest survive."
He doesn't have time to worry about others and at times, even himself.
He doesn't understand why the weak gather together.

        Other;;
        • https://youtu.be/c6LonGzerSk | https://youtu.be/tci6tC4bNEU |

        • sleeping habits ; He usually sleeps in a cave or even just in the open somewhere. However, he also has a "moat" of magma or even a deathly essence surrounding him to make it more difficult for others to approach or attack him while he rests.

        • future injuries ; loss of right eye. Various scars.

        • future items ; large cape + hood. metal "pawless" gauntlet + chain on left front leg. Wrap on right front leg.

        • armor idea ; rustic dull metal. sharp angles. covers whole body. joints covered in aged leather and chainmail. layered for mobility. Helmet broken into two pieces. bottom layers over neck piece. top extents all the back to the back of his neck. may wear cape with armor.

Questions/ History stuff you must answer!
          Image

            1. Was your lion actively involved with the Lake Cubs/ Dream Lionesses Deaths?
I was sent to Earth to kill them. But taking their lives didn't interest me when there was much better prey out there for me to "eat". Hd they been lions i saw as more...worth my time, perhaps i would have taken a few of their lives. But their measly being didn't peak my interests enough to hunt them down.
          Image

            2. With the opportunity to be forgiven, would your lion choose to better themselves? Or remain in their ways, justifying their actions of the past.
Forgiven for what. I've never done anything that i've regretted or had a second thought about. Everything I've done has had some kind of benefit for me, as it should be. I'll never do something without a reward. I have nothing to chance and nothing to justify.

          Image

            3. Where would your lions allegiance lie on the new LOC home world? With Ethereal and the pride? With Arknon? Or Neutral?
My allegiance will forever and foremost be with myself. If i follow someone, its simply because of the benefits ill get out of it. Ill take the side of whoever offers me more.

The Dark Druid

Postby Rohan. » Fri Feb 17, 2017 2:02 am

In the begining there was nothing. Their planet a sullen dust bowl filled with small creatures that knew nothing of predators and knew only the trouble that occasionally came through the massive arches that littered the planetside.

Then, there was life. The cosmos summoned its great powers and created its own protectors to rid the universe of evils and and restore peace and balance. Life was a gift, creating the massive lions, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, but also as a power. Few lions in the original creation held the heavy power, the gift of life and the ability to heal.

Few years passed and the cosmos began to give more, finding that life- despite its pure intentions and blessings- was not enough to combat the destruction of balance the cosmos was facing. And thus, more powers were created: Water, Fire and Earth.
Iseult found herself created in this second act of the cosmos. She was a strong lioness, gifted with not only earth, but the original element of Life. She held power that few created held, her elements too strong for her body to contain, thus personifying in her pelt with rocks, moss, and a hefty crown of antlers.

As many of the other original lions did, Iseult took to wandering, to learning her place in the planet they were placed on. She searched for a reason, and found life in the smallest of creatures, in the small flecks of dust surrounding large sparkling lakes that magically filled her belly. When she returned, she even found that the cosmos had gifted life to lions of all sorts of types. Air, light, darkness, psychic, and ice. It was then she realized these lions were all... mundane. The originals she had been created alongside had been blessed with extraordinary powers that their bodies and souls couldnt contain, they all had their own form of magic showing, while these lions... They were just lions.

She seemed to frighten many of them when they first met her, A goddess they would whisper when they thought she wasnt listening. They feared and respected her strength, her appearance, and her elements, but when she would wander in and out of the gatherings, shed always leave with a following.

Blessed with life, blessed with command over the very ground they stood on. The goddess would walk in and out of the lives of the mundane, giving an oracles blessing to those in pain, and building strongholds for those in search of shelters.

These are the legends of Iseult.

And oh how wrong they were....

Iseult was created in the image of strength and power of the cosmos. As an original lion, they were channeled with immense powers in order for the cosmos to have protectors. Her elements manifest physically on her body as stone, branches, and moss adorn her pelt. The immense power of the element of life has grown her small nubby horns she was created with into a massive crown of antlers.
Iseult has a large arsenal of elemental attacks and moves, but her favorites are those that hold immense power.

xx
    Meteor Strike
In this attack Iseult summons a destructive force of boulders to hail down on her enemies. With her years of battling on the field, she uses this move strategically to damage as many enemies as possible.

    Oracles hand
This is a kind gesture, though in Iseult's more recent wanderings it usually has strings attached. However, with her mastery in her elements, this can heal a lion to their full potential. If she is focuses, this move can heal a lion completely, without even leaving scar tissue. If her focus is scattered, or she is healing halfheartedly, this move can leave nasty scaring on the outside and only fix the fatal wounds.

    Tara Cota Army
Using a massive amount of energy, she raises a force of earthen warriors, gifting them with life to fight for her. However, after expending both her elements to create her army, she is rather drained. She can maintain her a small army for several attacks, but it takes quite a bit out of her.

    EarthBreaker
The earth around her shudders in massive quakes. If there is a specific target it will crumble the ground under paw and drop them into a chasm. This attack is queued with a show of stomping a paw or a roar.

    Ceramic statue
Under her command, earth rises up and engulfs a lion in thick rock, leaving a statue of earth portraying the panicked lion inside

    Leech Life
After expending much of her power, her elements begin to draw on her very life force. At this point Iseult will draw from the plants and earth beneath her paws. This can leave dead patches of grass and dust where ever she walks.

Image
Iseult was created a powerful being, fit to aid the cosmos in finding a balance of power. Much like many of the original lions created, she went about the world in hopes to learn just how they could do this. And much like the rest of these lions, they found themselves returning to many new lions and many new conflicts between the species.

She returned to the hub of the planet aside the sparkling lake to find a civil war between two large gatherings of lions. Perhaps if she had grown differently she would have abided by the cosmos' will and tried to give her power to the side that willed peace. Instead Iseult found herself drawn to the power one side held, led by an air elemental with immense mastery over the element.

Upon entering the prides camp, she was challenged. Upon losing the challenge to Merihk, she bowed to his power. Albeit not happily. Under his rule, Iseult found herself, though it was far from what the cosmos had intended.

By the time the civil war of the time had come to a crescendo and the lake cubs had found themselves captured, Iseult was deep in Merihk's pride, serving in Merihks close circle of power. She was enthralled with the power she had earned, the old whispers of godhood she now held close as an obssession. She wanted to ascend in power to be one of the strongest lions in the cosmos.

Thus when she met the lake cubs, she felt a deep envy for their unknown and powerful elements, some even manifesting into their pelts just as hers did. Merihk's kill order on the lake cubs was enforced with glee by the rock adorned lioness.

The dream lioness' were a slightly different story. Iseult grew up with many of these lioness' in Merihks pride, though her stature higher than their own. Thus while these lions were trained and used as weapons, Iseult was amongst those to have the power to give orders and keep a lioness on hand for her raids and journeys. Iseults guard was primarily Metsastys, as she had taken the lioness under her wing and taught her much of what it means to serve and be an assassin.

Despite being closer the dream lioness', Iseult had little care when their death became necessary. When it came down to it, her self preservation was stronger than the morals others had began to question. Due to this, Iseult had a first hand experience in both the massacres.

Self-serving :: Sadistic :: Cynical :: Intelligent :: Immoral :: Ambitious :: Narcissistic :: Crafty :: Patient

»»Character allignment ;; Chaotic Evil

    Self Serving
»»» having concern for one's own welfare and interests before those of others.
Iseult grew alone, aside from a few encounters every now and then. Thus shes grown to be a self serving creature, willing to destroy others in order to preserve her own life and power. She will feign kindness or love even to get what she needs to survive.

    Sadistic
»»» deriving pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others.
The effects of Merihk and her life as a nomad before him led her to find amusement where she could. Unfortunantely for most, her time alongside Merihk has led her to have the darkest of humor. She will often toy with prey before finishing it off, applying to both her meals and her targets on the battlefield.

    Cynical
»»» believing that people are motivated by self-interest; distrustful of human sincerity or integrity.
Judging from her own actions, Iseult believes others to be just as capable of lying to get what they must to survive. This has lead her to be incredibly distrusting and unnerved by kindness or promises.

    Intelligent
»»» having or showing intelligence, especially of a high level.
Iseult was amongst the first few made by the cosmos. Her longivity of her life- in comparison with many that survived in the time period said nothing if not for her quick wits and instinct. Her mind is as sharp as her claws, her words perhaps sharper when shes grown tired of games or someones presence. However, Iseult has made use of the phrase "Keep your friends close, enemies closer", in order to make best use of her time in Merihks pride.

    Immoral
»»» not conforming to accepted standards of morality.
After wandering in solitary for a good portion of her life, Iseult had little to no moral guidance or code. She is willing to do whatever it takes to survive, thus will violate any moral code put before her. It makes her a dangerous enemy when challenged.

    Ambitious
having or showing a strong desire and determination to succeed.
Iseult has a strong desire to survive. Preferably to the ends of time. Though to achieve this immortal state, she believes a certain level of power is necessary. With this in mind, upon her suffocation at the hands of Merihk, she accepted that she'd have to use the 'great alpha' in order to climb his rankings and ascend to a position of power within his inner circle.

    Narcissistic
having an excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one's physical appearance.
With her elements personified into her pelt, combined with the sheer mastery she shows in using her elements, the early whispers of godhood of her got to her head. She believes herself to be a one of a kind goddess with mastery over earth and the life that resides on it.

    Crafty
clever at achieving one's aims by indirect or deceitful methods.
Iseult is quick witted and clever, not to mention a pathological liar. She is excellent at deceiving and tricking to get what she wants. It is, in fact, how she won over the trust and guard of multiple of the dream lions.

    Patient
able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
Iseult is above all a patient lioness, shown terrifically through her years of holding her tongue and binding her time within Merihks pride to climb his ranks and stay in the inner circle of killers.

══════════════════════════════»»questions;;══════════════════════════════

»»1;; Was your lion actively involved with the Lake Cubs/ Dream Lionesses Deaths?
In the end, it wasnt their death that surprised her; it was the stubborness of their lives.
She didnt have much faith in the longevity of their lives- In the end, the dream lioness' were mere weapons to her and Merihk, and with the strength they held it was a common fact to them that if their power slipped they would not allow the lioness' to fall into enemy hands. She herself had made sure of that.
As for the Lake cubs, their existence was frustrating and their loyalty towards her enemies was their end. With their unique powers and irritating challenge towards her 'godhood', she was more than happy to end them.

»»2;; With the opportunity to be forgiven, would your lion choose to better themselves? Or remain in their ways, justifying their actions of the past.
While she may lead them to believe that she wishes to better herself once passing through the arch, she will continue to stay true to her nature. She may play kind for information or power, but when it comes down to it, she can be a sadistic lion that gets pleasure from ruining others' days.

»»3;; Where would your lions alligiance lie on the new LOC home world? With Ethereal and the pride? With Arknon? Or Neutral?
While she is interested in the two leaders- or more specifically their mastery over their elements, she will bow to no lion. Not anymore.
She would play the kind lion in Ethereals pride until she gained enough knowledge of the new time to survive, after the pride serves its use, she is likely to go harrass Arknons rebellion before resigning to wander the planetside. While that may seem neutral, it is far from it- she is prone to sabotage any raid or patrol that she comes across, often playing with them before leaving destruction in her wake.

Image
══════════════════════════════»»relationships;;══════════════════════════════

    Merihk;;
A bit hesitantly, Iseult accepted Merihk's rule. She could recognize power, being a powerful being herself. It was within this lion that his charm and mastery over his element that he won her support... Not to mention the subtle suffocation he would inflict upon her fighting him. Despite their arguements, Iseult strongly supported the destruction he caused, especially if she got to aid in its cause. However, if given the chance and the likelyhood of winning the fight, Iseult wouldnt hesitate to kill the alpha.

    Ethereal;;
Iseult sees Ethereal as a weak leader, fresh to his position and unknowing of what his potential could truely be. Despite this, she sees his power as one to behold, and one to eliminate. The existance of the time element has made her very weary of Ethereal and his pride, thus she largely avoids the alpha.

    Arknon;;
Arknon to her is a runt that tried to take after Merihk's pawsteps. She will begrudgingly admit that the male has impressive power, but quickly follow it with her disgust for his regime. She finds irritation in the lack of control he has found, despite a large following and the ability to make more of his own folowing with his element.

    Metsastys;;
After basically raising the young dreamer, Iseult was also the one to murder her after her pet became a danger rather than an asset. Due to this, their once friendly symbiotic relationship has festered into a murderous tension. If the two ever found themselves to cross paths once more, it is likely that one would not walk away.

    Lunaria;;
In their original times, Iseult knew the lioness well as a weapon to the pride, due to her social standings in the pride as a sub leader of sorts. To go back to taht time, one would find that the lioness' could tolerate eachother well and work easily. In current times, Iseult has yet to encounter the dreamer.

    Nisanyafina;;
Being a dreamer that was loyal to Merihks pride, Iseult worked closely with Merihks 'weapons'- the dreamers. Nissa is one of the ones that Iseult kept close in raids. The green lioness' worked well together back then, however now-a-days its more likely that they do not assosciate aside from Nissa joining Stys in tormenting Iseult in dreams.

    Cassandra;;
Cassandras loyalty to Merihk had its bounds, and with this, she often found herself one to feel Iseults hostility when orders werent followed. The two lionesses could wokr together occasionally, but more often than not, they would find themselves fighting.
    Phy and Xochi;;
While Phy was the first of the poor lake cubs that found Iseults hositilities targetted at, Xochi was the last that found it. Iseult found many of the lake cubs unique abilities and appearances to be a direct challenge to her own godly status, due to this, she was dead set on killing them.

══════════════════════════════»»first impressions;;══════════════════════════════

___Merihk___

It was without warning. First a gust of air picking up around her, then a full blown vortex of wind. Then came the fighting, all around her broke out with elemental attacks flying through the sandy vortex, pulses of life suddenly coming out all around her as hidden warriors came charging from all sides.
In all her wanderings she had yet to see the civil war, and now she found herself in the middle of it.
Iseult felt her element pulse strongly beneath her pelt, the feeling of life pulling and waning as warriors stumbled through the fighting and the strong gales to either victory or death.
Using both her elements, she navigated through the harsh sandstorm, avoiding most the fighting until it died down some. As she was circling around for the higher ground, she found herself face to face with the 'Great Alpha' of the time.
Battle worn and armor battered, the alpha looked furious at her sudden appearance. Though it was the first time she'd ever met either leader of the warring sides- word had spread through the lesser prides and nomads, chatter she caught on to when she would wander into their lands and depart with a few stragglers tailing her.
As the alpha approached, his muscles rippling beneath the ragged armor. They sized one another up, and while they stood eye to eye, her great crown of antlers gave her the additive height on him.
It was the anger in his eyes that tuned her into the fight. This lion held immense power, power that she'd not seen the likely hood in any that didnt hold duel elements.
Almost like the flick of a switch, the two lions collided. Her elements surged about her, earth climbing her legs to hook into her protuding rocky pelt, creating a stone armor to protect her essential organs and joints.
The air swirled around the two of them as they struck out at one another, claws out. She was well adept to fighting, being as she traveled on her own amongst the warring world. Her horns and thick tail gave her a small advantage, though Merihks mastery over his element was what truely threw the fight.
As she summoned the earth into spikes, walls, and great dents to stall, harm, and trip up Merihk, his element held an essential hold. As she thought the fight was going well, the great gales of wind sped up, the speed creating an air funnel. She could feel her paws lifting off the ground as the wind picked up. In a last chance effort, she summoned the earth to cling to her paws, holding her down to it despite the tornado effect the wind had.
In an instant, she knew she had lost. The air went from a roaring funnel throwing sand and rocks, to non existant. Her gasps were met with nothing, only a rasping croak escaped her lungs as he stole the air from her. She was able to meet his gaze as he approached. Weakly attempting to summon the stone to swallow him. Merihk's gaze darkened as stone climbed his paws, gathering itself around his legs and reaching his shoulders before it faltered, her gaze blackening around the edges. She imagined he smiled as she blacked out, the ground falling away from him as her focus and control fell away.
When she awoke, she was immediately shuttled to Merihks cave. His expression remained cool as the two lions stared down one another. Finally. Finally. He spoke.
"As Galen's forces gather, I find myself in need of strong warriors. You could find power here, a strength you wouldnt when wandering." He narrowed his eyes and slunk around her, as though sizing her up. She stood tall, her eyes trailing him. "I could give you what you desire..." Finally he stopped in front of her, a sly smile creeping across his face. "For a price."

___Ethereal___

Upon her first day on earth, she had summoned herself a shelter, creating a cavern with creeping vines and other plant life covering its various surfaces in order to hide it amongst her surroundings. A few of the other lions stuck around her, begrudgingly she allowed them to stay with her, in return for them hunting and summoning water for the lot of them. The small group managed fine, each bringing essentials to life to the table in return for them to remain in the shelter.
As the days drug on, each would wander out, exploring the deserts and plains that surrounded them, but they always seemed to return to the congregations area.
On the fifth day, one of them brought back something they'd yet to see in their time on earth; Other lions.
Iseult found herself mirroring many of the others, tensing at the sight. In an instant, it was a fight for their lives, elements flying in attacks as the lot of them band together to defend from the influx of what they assumed to be Galen's forces.
It was only at the great roar of their 'leader' that everything came to a halt. She tried pulling at her element, but found nothing- not even movement was allowed.
Eyes wide, she watched the leader move through the crowd, explaining their search in peace. It was unsettling. His lies and stories were one thing, but the very fact that he could halt their attacks were another.
She watched silently as Isolfr and Lazarus spoke with the male, only breaking her silence to scoff at the males insistence that he was the alpha of the pride. Surely this male was newly created, if he were dumb enough to lie with something so unbelieveable to them. Galen was really scraping the bottom for soldiers.
---
It was only once the days slipped by while she quietly tailed the group that her impression of the male shifted and she began tobelieve his story. As unbelievable as it were- their armor, elements, and the fact that a dreamer was in their midst had her skin crawling. They had killed them all, she knew that. How stubborn in death would one have to be to survive it? She almost hissed in frustration, though kept silent to watch them in building the arch.
--
When the time came, she didnt hesitate to defy the time lions wishes. He would not stop her from finding a new life in his own time. He would not hold power over her decisions and life.

"Gather the traitors to the lake!"
Merihk's own order sent chills down her spine, though not for the reasons that the normal lion might experience. She was delighted. The lions they had been guarding for days for being traitors to the pride were finally meeting their fates. Though they were yet to know that. She watched silently, a small smile across her face as she watched the traitors being escorted out of the caves and towards the lake that sat in the midst of the mountainous terrain.
"This may cause outrage." Merihk grunted, casting a small glance towards her. While she may have once thought he was doubting himself, it was more a comment to test her than anything. He seemed to not realize how glad she'd be to have these disgraces dead.
She shrugged, uncaring. "It will teach them." Her soft voice juxtaposed with the harsh statement, though it seemed to be exactly what Merihk wanted to hear. With a nod, he lead the two of them and a few others of his small inner circle towards the lake.
Iseult waited patiently beside him as he gave his 'Ultimatum' to the traitors. It was with a dark glee that the first dove into the water. She watched the group swiftly change from excitement at the prospect of being free shift to terror as the realizations hit them.
    "End them"
Merihks growl was enough to send her strolling forwards. The few of the dreamers, a fresh bunch of lionesses with extrodiary powers, had joined them. One in particular, Metsastys, stood to her side, waiting. At Iseults approach, Stys kept in tight formation with her, obedient in her training as a guard and assassin.
In the few moments it took to cross the space between the pride and the traitors, Iseult had picked a spry young cub, her pelt littered with stalks of kelp and sea life. Unacceptable. With a flare of her powers, the ground rumbled under the young cubs paws, crackling and parting. The cub scrambled back with a cry of terror, her eyes flicking to and fro, With a final cry, she seemed to find her assailant.
With eyes meeting, Iseult crumbled the ground beneath the cubs paws, sending the young cub into the water.
"Deal with the rest" She growled, making slight eye contact with Metsastys before turning and perching on a tall rock she summoned from the ground in order to watch.
    --
As screaming filled the air, the lions were slowly narrowed down, soon only a few traitors were left standing. One cub in particular seemed to be fighting the prides advances. Annoyance simmered under Iseults pelt as she watched the little cub lash out at Metsastys with his elements.
With a graceful leap down from her perch, Iseult made her presence known to the cub. He glowered at her when she met his eyes, she knew this one well- he had served merihk for a short time before fleeing. A smile curled over her maw as she stepped forwards, her rack of antlers casting a shadow over his cowering firm alongside the rest of the traitors.
"You should learn to fear your betters little cub. There are plenty. Perhaps if you treated gods as such you would not be in this situation."
She crooned, each step she took had him skittering back, ears flat to his head, tail tucked between his legs the sound of his comrades screams fuming the air as each new one fell into the lake.
"You are no God" he whispered, eyes meeting hers with a finally look of determination. He lurched forward to make an escape.
    It pissed her off.
A wall of earth slammed into the cub, halting his escape. As he staggered back fear lit in his eyes.
"Wrong. Answer." She whispered, lowering her head to make eye contact with him before keeling her head down, catching his body in her horns and throwing him with a throw off her head towards the lake.
She watched, victory burning in her eyes as his screams joined the others as he sunk lower in the lake.

___the dreamers___

"It's essential that you move quietly, quickly. We can't risk them surviving. I imagine if they survive they won't hesitate to flip sides and destroy us. Understand?" She asked, laying upon a rock staying down at 3 others. Their element varied the have the best chance of killing them, but honestly.. she wasn't worried.
"We move after nightfall, hopefully all of them will be asleep and it can be ended quickly."
Around her they nodded in understanding then dispersed at the flick of her tail.

    ___
Come night fall the small band of murderers crept into the guarded den. The guards stood at attention, ready aid if any tried to eacape.

In hindsight, she should have known they'd be using their elements even when unconscious.

As a death lion sunk his teeth into Yvaine, around the cave a ragged gasp broke the silence and all hell broke loose.

Dreamers began waking one by one, by use of their elements or by a nudge or kick as the others began fleeing or fighting. Between paw swipes at reveur, she saw two of the lioness' escape through the entrance. A ragged growl escaped her throat, furious that the plan was failing so spectacularly.

    "Iseult what is going on?!"

Now that was a cry she'd not expected, turning to focus on its source, Metsastys stared back. Fear and anger boiled in the young dreamers eyes, her claws extended and muscles tense. It was clear she was ready for a fight, though endearing to Iseult that she paused to ask before.

"You are in danger! The enemy approaches and you cannot be captured by them!" She called, taking a few steps to her young guard.
"I will protect you from them." At this Styx seemed to relax, if only for an instance. Lunarias gurgle scream cut through the commotion, it was at this distraction that Iseult leapt, claws extended.

She was met with a look of terror before the two lioness' collided, claws out scuffling in dirt as each struggled to gain the upper hand.

    "What are you doing!?"
"Protecting you, dear. In death, no one will hurt you."

As her words faded into the commotion, a flurry of vines rose to hold Stys, allowing Iseult to straighten up and shake her coat out.
"You will not see the enemy. We're all to die anyways if the enemy breaches the foremost line." A deranged laugh escaped her jaws.
    "Take death as a mercy!"
As Metsastys fought the vines to stand, a great mound of dirt rose, beginning to climb her paws and engulf her body. A blood curdling scream erupted from it, just before it closed over her face.

"Find the rest! Kill them!" She ordered, turning on a paw. "They will not see the light of day!"

___escape to earth___

After the dreamers were sacrificed for the greater good, everything went down hill. Each step Giddeons forces took closer to the main camp, Merihk lost more of his control. Iseult could see it clear as day, watching it with amusement as lions made plans for fighting or fleeing.

As each day ended, Iseult kept a silent watch on the goings on, taking note over each plan and watching lions leave.

As each day ended, Merihks anger grew. He lashed out at the Lions that remained, Iseult included. Her silence angered him to no end, though he knew better than to fight her, less she deliver him on a silver platter to Giddeon.

At the dawn of the fifth day, the fighting truly began, Giddeons forces stood on their doorstep, throwing everything they had at the pride.
    ___
As each new rock flew past her, shed send a barrage of meteors swarning down in the dorection of the enemy, but her focus wasnt on the enemy right now. Iseult was searching for the particular group of lions she'd caught the other day talking of plans. "An arch to a different planet." They had sooke of. It was the perfect thought, the rebellion wouldn't be able to hold the home planet and scoure a new one in search for war criminals.

Just as her eye caught the small group fleeing into the distance, she is caught by a large fire warrior. Anger seized her, how dare they stop her when she was so close.
"Merihks little druid! You're next!" It snarled, taunting her into fighting. Despite the red hot fury that bubbled under her skin, she hadn't the time to play.
"May you rot" she hissed, paws slamming into the dirt as the ground trembled in response to her element, rising around the male. In almost a blink of the eye, the male was being engulfed in hardening rock and poisonous plant life.
While he hissed and growled, struggling against the stone encasing him, she was able to side step, her lengthy stride pulling her once more from the war zone in pursuit of the Lions

When she finally caught them, she only arrived in time to leap through before they were rounding on the paws and pulling at their elements to destroy the arch. Terror and adrenaline led to a flurry of elemental attacks being flung by both sides before they realized the arch had been damaged.
In a momentary truce, they separated to wander.
    ---

When Lazarus called them all together, Iseult joined out of curiosity. What could possibly be important enough that he'd risk his life at her annoyance. Still, in retrospect she was grateful for it. She watched quietly when the others fueded amongst one another, then stalked the group as they journeyed to find the archway once more.

A new time, these lions spoke of. An opportunity to live once more without the threat from Giddeon. As Ethereals group worked on the arch, Iseult hatched a plan.
    ---
When the archway was finally complete, the foreign lions were weak, exhausted, and unfocused. She gathered the others, forcing them to their paws and shared the news. Small manipulations to the story had the others on their paws. A new life, they all desired it.

They arrived just as Ethereal commanded Lazarus to destroy the arch, then stepped through himself.

Lazarus eyed the group wearily, gaze drawing over each of them before looking back at the arch.

"You wouldn't dare." She growled taking a step forwards.
"We will cause destruction on their time.. we aren't meant to live there.." Lazarus struggled out the words, his mind seeming to work out which way he should go while he spoke. However, he barely got out the last syllable before he was forced to dodge elemental attacks.

As he lunged for the arch, she summoned a great stone and hurled it at him.
"Remember this day!" She called, rushing towards the arch. "For we have won a new life, while yours ends on this dreadful planet!"

And with that, she passed through the arch, leaving behind her past woes and looking forwards to a new start. A new chance to rise up and become more than Merihks confidant.
