Do you enjoy writing from prompts, or are you more of a freelancer?
I like both to be honest. If I'm really stuck on ideas or just want to try something new I'll get ideas from prompts and other times I'll come up with my own plot and write from there. Just depends on my mood when I'm writing I guess.

also, i was wondering how you guys came up with names? be it for your character or a place. do you guys look for meanings behing those names? or just whatever sounds good?

It comes 50/50 where sometimes I'll already know what I want to name my characters and other times I'll go looking for names. As for places I'll normally make that up so that it's more my own.

but i'm back! (not really, but at least i'm posting)


anyway. so. answers to questions.
i'm quite the freelancer, and i just write whatever comes to mind. but every once in a while i'll do a prompt or two (or a hundred - eventually)

as for names, usually i try to come up with something that has a meaning. since i usually write modern-day stuff, cultural accuracy isn't too essential, what, with globalisation and mass media and stuff, but i do try to give representation to unique names. sometimes names are inspired by other fictional characters that have similar traits as a sort of homage to the characters i'm naming them after.

I have been sorely slacking on writing. I'm working 30 hours a week these days + going to school so my free time is just...no longer happening lol. It sucks so bad to have tons of muse and very little time to get it all out.

I do love that advent challenge though, such a festive idea :>

That does sound annoying. Someone needs to invent thought-readers that write ideas down straight from the brain ASAP! ;p
