(why did I ever start talking about professionals? It's not gonna stop now...)

Speaking of professionalism, what, in your opinion, constitutes someone being a "professional writer"?
Uh...
1. Writing on a daily basis
2. Writing good stuff
3. People actually reading the things written

@minty
Thanks! Any advice? Except for adding paragraphs?

Have you finished a book?
I have actually hahaha (thanks NaNoWriMo and having much more free time once upon a time) It's called Before and After and its AWFUL

I love my characters though but wowowow its not a good story

But it's 400 pages and has a start and an end so it's a finished book lol

I'm working on a second one. The first draft is finished buuuut I'm not sure that counts.

@Arya:
I really like your story! It's interesting and I'd love to read more. I think Gwen is a really fun character as well and I like how independent she is.

My only advice is the formatting things. You should have new paragraphs every time a different person starts talking. And having the dialouge in bold makes it a bit hard to read. My eye tends to skip the things not in bold, which loses stuff from the story.

I really like how the dialogue is though, the characters seem real, and talk in a way that doesn't really seem scripted (If that makes sense?) And I think that you've set yourself up to an interesting story
The first chapter got me interested and I am curious as to where the story goes from there!

    Umm the only thing I can comment on (besides the paragraphing)
    would be some of your sentences run on a bit and could be shorten. However, this is
    only in a few places. You seem to overuse commas in some areas although I have a
    bad habit of doing that as well.

    Other than that everything looks fine :)

    I'm terrible at giving advice and explaining things, opps I tried

Have you finished a book?
Nope. Never have I written on a story "The End"
Speaking of professionalism, what, in your opinion, constitutes someone being a "professional writer"?
Someone who makes enough money writing books to live off of it.

@claire
What do you mean exactly with 'scripted'?
Other than that, thanks!
I could then:
Add paragraphs (my worst, I've always been bad at it, even at school)
And make dialogue in a normal color?

@minty
Thanks!
I'll see what I can do to it then.

    woah we are really close to 900 pages-

    Speaking of professionalism, what, in your opinion, constitutes someone being a "professional writer"?

    Someone who is clearly experienced and knows what they are talking about. This is shown by the way they
    write such as the techniques and language style they use. I also count someone being professional if they simply
    make a living off their work: e.g sell their own stories.

    It's 1am and I'm making so many simple spelling errors, ahh

Wow, leave this thread for 2 hours and there's two new pages to flick through!

Have you finished a book?

God no, though I have finished planning one out, if that counts for anything. (Even the plot line makes me sad when I'm reading it so hopefully it'll be really good when I get around to actually writing the damn thing!)

Speaking of professionalism, what, in your opinion, constitutes someone being a "professional writer"?

I gotta go with writing as a career. I mean, you can be professional and unpublished, but "professional writer" sounds like a job title to me ^^

@Arya YOur writing style is really good. I don't have time to read you story all the way through right now (sorry about that ^^') but from the small portion I did read it sounds really good!

SO I'm going to be trying to start writing my book in the next few weeks, and I'll probably post it to my wattpad while I'm working on it :D

Uh, I guess what I mean is that I like how the characters talk like real people. I like when characters talk in a more natural way, and laugh and have fun, so I really like the conversation between Gwen and Ethan because it does that really well. So it's not 'scripted' in that way, because it reads like a real conversation

And yeah! The format change would make it easier to read, and since you've already got a good story, that'll make it super! Paragraphs are the kind of thing that take a while to get used to, but after you do, it becomes easier! I've been writing for a long time but I still forget sometimes lol

(sorry I am awful at explaining myself oops)

If you've published a book you're a professional writer, I think. c:

Ahaha. Arya, I think you've started a new Lazy Writers'... 'thing', now XD Dr. Dummkopff, what the heck did I even spell that right carrots, and now how professional we are, hahaha XD
Also, I've left a bit of critique/feedback on your story ^^ c;
