I tend to have a bunch of main characters, like way too many.

You know me too well XD
Do you tend to have a lot of characters in a story, or just a few mains?
I usually have one main character and a handful of side/supporting characters; if I have too many I don't think I could remember their names, let alone develop them all and have them interact with each other XD

What's the last thing you researched for a story?
Erm... if a person who had their eye gouged out could still cry. Apparently if the tear duct is not damaged they can, but it takes a lot of accumulation in the socket for it to occur since crying is when the tears that keep our eyes moisturized overflow, they also might have runny noses since that excess liquid needs to drain somewhere.

Do you tend to have a lot of characters in a story, or just a few mains?
I tend to have a lot. Like a lot a lot. I get attached, comfortable with the ones I create, and I tend to create a core group for a story and build off them.

Um . . . . It wasn't actually for stories, but my brother has been asking me stuff like what flak is. And vampire squids. I dunno what he's watching, but if it means he's starting to look stuff up (albeit through me), then I am absolutely down with it. *thumbs-up*
Oh, it wasn't really looking things up, but I've been watching this YouTube channel recently that talks about writing tropes, old myhtology, history . . . . It's a really cool place. Anyway, I was binge watching the ones about writing because, well - writing. Duh. *shrugs* They were also really cool, and I'm wondering now how to get soem of those thigns into my stories.

HAHAHAHAHAHAWHAT. I have so many characters it's not even funny anymore. *bonks head against wall*

Vampire squids are cool. Don't they have like fangs on the inside of their tentacles? A supersized one would be cool to rip a ship to shreds.
(Silent pleading of sailor characters for me NOT TO DO THAT)

I dunno, I didn't get very far in the info page before he asked for pictures of them instead. I got some pretty cool mermaid pictures out of it, though.

Usually I only have a few words for a language, just to accent proper nouns and such. If I'm looking to create a word with a specific meaning I usually run several different synonyms through Google translate until I find something that sounds good, I tweak it a bit, then use it.

I only have a few words/phrases done, and I just kinda made up ones that sounded vaguely Icelandic or French (the species is based off of multiple cultures). But I don't think I'll ever be able to make a whole language like Tolkien, curse him

Hi everybody! It's my first time here, so I'm a little late on discussions.
You all seem lovely! <3

Do you tend to have a lot of characters in a story, or just a few mains?

Personally, I choose to have a few main characters... you couldn't tell by the number of OCs I have though.
I swear it's just because I can't finish a story and keep starting new ones

Btw, I saw a discussion earlier about making comic / manga pages. That's an idea that's been going through my mind for the past few days... every time I do something remotely comedic I'm tempted to draw it up into a page of panels. Like standalone pages, or a series lol. But god forbid my laziness....
