Alkhas Ennaer

Race: Elf

Personality: Alkhas is a shy boy, often self-effacing.
He is usually very awkward during interaction and tends to
grin lopsidedly while holding his arm with his other hand
when he feels awkward. He often stutters.

History before Cyrrane: Alkhas is an elf from a very
far away tribe: his people do not believe in the Sun and Moon
gods. Alkhas was often discriminated as a child for his silver
hair: it comes from the fact he was born on a special night,
and the shaman believes he holds a spirit inside his body. To
become a full warrior, elves from his village have to leave
at 17 and come back when they turn 18, after a year of being
alone. Alkhas left, but about halfway through, he had a strange
dream. It showed him all the times he had been mistreated in
his old village, and then it showed him another village, with
different people, and a sense of peace. Alkhas decided not to
come back. He left and eventually found the patrol, a while
after turning 18. He still does feel bad for leaving
everyone behind.

Nayah Aidjii

Race: Human

Personality: Before the drought, Nayah was a
relatively self-effacing girl, with not much of an opinion
and always doing things for others. But her time alone
taught her to listen to herself, and she grew into a
confident young woman, who knows what she wants and
who will fight to get it. But she is still helpful: at times,
the young girl she was before comes back, and she goes
out of her way to help other people. Due to her previous
struggles, she is very serious, no-nonsense generally.

History before Cyrrane: Nayah is originally from
the same village as Myriam was. At the drought, she was
only 8. But, being a strong girl, she survived and followed
her parents when they left. But when the lion attacked,
Nayah was separated from everyone else. She lost them
after running to escape the lion. She was certain she would
die- but somehow, Nayah found a small that would be safe
for her. And so she lived in it for some years, managing to
find food and water. When Nayah turned 15, she left her
place, wanting to find other people. She left the Deserts
and lived in the forest for years, only occasionally talking
to travelers she met on the way. But she never stayed with
them. Finally, Nayah met someone who had heard of a person
called Myriam. And so she followed them to find the person
she had been friends with before the drought.

Silas Denver

Race: Human

Personality: Silas is a rather grumpy fellow. Despite his young age,
he has lived a lot and is thus very mature. Silas will rather be on his
own than with other people, and won't talk much when in society.
He may be agressive when in a tight spot or scared, but will apologize.

History before Cyrrane: Silas was born to a family of
farmers. He was the youngest son, and with his older brothers
setting an example, he was expected to work hard. But even
his parents could see that there was something wrong with
him: his hair was very light blond, almost white, his skin was
pale, and his eyes quite pink, white his family was dark-haired,
tan-skinned and brown-eyed. Whenever Silas went out into the
fields to help his family, the sun would burn his skin and hurt
his eyes. He was useless. When Silas turned 15, his father did
something he never should have: he sold Silas off to a mine,
where he would finally 'earn some damn money for the family
who fed you since you were born'. Inside the mines, Silas felt
much better. The sun no longer burned him, the sun no longer
hurt his eyes. He could work as hard as any other, and even
without seeing well, he could hear with the sound his pickax
made whatever he was hitting at. At the age of 17 though,
he had enough of the living conditions inside this mine. He
ran away, cutting off all ties forever with his father. Silas
wandered a while, traveling at night and hiding during the
day, until he found a small cave at the base of a cliff and
decided to stay there for a while. He had no problem until
one day, a woman found him and told him that actually,
her village was just above and he could go join them.

Race: Human

Personality: Talyn is just as headstrong as her mother.
If she wants something, she will fight until she has it. She also
picked up some of her enthusiasm in life, and as she grows older
she starts to enjoy the taste of beer. But she is still cautious:
the fact she is a human stop her from completely adopting the
habits of a dwarf. She also has received a sort of forgetfulness
from her father, but also her selflessness.

Family: Her mother is Hilda Bronzemane and her father
Aaron Crawford.

Maple Thornton

Looks: ST - E4 / HS - S / HC - 13 / EC - A3 / X
Race: Human

Personality: Maple is a little shy at first, but friendly person. She
loves to do small jokes when people expect it least, but she'll always
be careful not to hurt someone's feelings. She is also a person who
gets very close to others, likes to hug (especially Calder). She is also
very positive and always pushes people up. She has magical powers,
since she is a witch, and has a familiar, a white cat with heterochromia
named Poppy.

History before Cyrrane: Maple was born from two wizards, who
were very traditional. She learned all about witchcraft very early on,
for example how to control her powers. For her parents, her biggest
failure was that her familiar was a white cat, not black. At the age of 10,
Maple had joined the Bringers of Dawn, the order of wizards who were
very powerful. She hated her time there. The wizards were very
traditional and cold, something Maple never could understand. At the age
of 22, when her formation finally ended, instead of staying aloof from
others as she was supposed to, Maple went and joined a village, Adularia.
She is still terrified of the Bringers of Dawn to find her, since she believes
they will take her back or hurt her. It is her big secret. It took her a
long long time to tell Calder, the man she married.

Family: Maple is married to Calder Thornton and has a child, Ian Thornton.

Calder Thornton

Race: Human

Personality: Calder is always acting tough and scary,
but inside, he's a real sweet guy. He was hurt in the past and
because of that, he doesn't want others to see his real feelings,
but he can't hold them back constantly: thank god for him,
Maple is here to help. Calder always tries to help and often
bends himself to the wishes of others even if it doesn't suit
him. Calder is a wizard, and because of that he has magical
powers as well as a familiar, a European grey wolf named Jagged.

History before Cyrrane: Born and raised in a family of magic-haters,
Calder had a lot of fear growing up with more and more uncontrollable
powers. But otherwise he was a normal guy- he had even fallen in
love with a girl in his village, who was very sweet and kind to him.
He still lived in fear of his family finding out, and it went fine- until
the day his father saw him make several objects fly (it had been
unintentional). His family was furious. Fleeing them, Calder went
to his sweetheart and, trusting, told her what had happened. Her
reaction was the same as his father's: in an instant, she turned
away from him, scorning, and swore that she would never love
him. Hurt, lost, Calder ran away and hid in the forest: this is
where he met and bonded with Jagged, his witch familiar.
A couple years later, he joined a village, Adularia, where he met his
current partner, Maple. The two married and after the small village
disbanded, they traveled together until they found Cyrrane.

Family: Calder is married to Maple Thornton and has a child, Ian Thornton.

Jorund Thunderpike

Race: Dwarf

Personality: Jorund has an extremely split personality.
He may be very nice and polite at first, but suddenly go
into violent, selfish moods, where he will be distrusting
of all others. He is very paranoid that people will steal
his things. His violent moods happen often under the effect
of alcohol. This split personality has led him to plot behind
people's backs to make sure they won't be able to steal
his belongings.

History before Cyrrane: Jorund was born in a
large family, in a classic dwarven clan. He was at first
a very sweet boy, but under the bad influence of his
violent father and thieving siblings, he got very aggressive
to protect his belongings and himself. Jorund was
always a good miner, and thus received his last name,
but he began making trouble for the clan. He would
randomly yell, be agressive with anyone, and even
physically push or attack people who got too close
to him. After long and painful discussions with the
clan elders, he was half-banned, and half-left. He
traveled many years alone, never speaking with
people, amassing a certain amount of gold and
diamonds--all only for himself- until something
told him that he should join the lady who had
spoken to him earlier. He thought he might give
community-life a new try.

Death: Driven by greed and insecurity, Jorund
was persuaded by Virion to aid him in his quest, with
the promise that he would be able to steal all he wanted
and leave unscathed. Just before the final showdown,
Jorund was holding Myreon at knifepoint, and was given
the order to kill him by Virion- just before he was able
to, Xander, next to him, decided it had gone too far,
and attacked Jorund. With his fire powers, Xander
incinerated Jorund's heart in a few seconds, leading to
a swift and painless death.

Azelle Wild

Race: Human

Personality: Azelle is an incredibly stubborn woman. She knows what
she wants and will do whatever she can to get it. She can be a little pushy
and inconsiderate in that sense- but she makes up for that with a huge heart
and unfailing loyalty.

History before Cyrrane: Before coming to Cyrrane, Azelle lived in
the same village in the hot deserts as Rovi- in fact, she is his younger
sister. When the disaster storm happened, she was still very young,
only about 11, and was separated from everyone except her aunt.
They lived together for a few years, and Azelle was able to grow
and learn how to be independent. When she turned 16, Azelle
told her aunt that she had to leave: it had been several years
since the flood, but her family's memory was still burning inside
her, and she wanted to find them. The aunt was terribly anxious
for her, but agreed to let her go: she had never expected Azelle
to stay indefinitely anyway. Azelle traveled a lot, sometimes with
others, mostly alone. She met bandits and crooks, people who
tried to hurt her and cheat her- but she never let them get to her.
She kept going until she saw the two Cyrranian scouts in the forest..

Family: She is Rovi's younger sister.

Myreon Brown

Race: Hobbit

Personality: Myreon is very much like his adoptive father. Always
his head in the clouds, quite forgetful and often looks more than
a little confused about everything that happens around him.
Lopsided grins and hugs are his favorite method of saying 'I love you'.
He has had a bad concussion which did not heal well, and due to
that, he still has some trouble speaking, memory loss and
paralysis in just the last two fingers of his left hand.

History before Cyrrane: Myreon has no memory of his past:
he hit his head and forgot what, who and where he was. He was
actually born in a secluded hobbit family. Due to complications,
his mother died giving birth to him, and he lived alone with his
father for several years. However on a particularly stormy night
when Myreon was 6, his father didn't come back from a day of
searching for food outside. Worried, the next morning, Myreon
set out to look for him. However, the ground was still terribly
slippery, and the river was fast and roaring: looking for his
father, Myreon fell in. he hit his head hard on a rock and,
unconscious, moved down the roaring river until he ended
up on a small beach, miraculously surviving until Joan found him.

Family: Myreon has no memory from his actual family, and was adopted
by Myriam and Pantaleon.

Ian Thornton

Race: Witch

Personality: As a child, Ian is a shy but sweet kid, who would never hurt
a fly. The apparition of his powers was quick, and he was always terrified
of hurting others accidentally with them. He was very clingy. But his time
with the wizards, however short, changed him: he became cold, powerful,
showing no emotions. It is only a facade however: inside, he is still scared
of hurting those he loves, and little by little, the walls may fall.

Family: He is Maple and Calder Thornton's son.
