So I wasn’t planning on entering but I may have sketched this guy today so here we go XD

Why does this little one find watermelon and where does he find them? (100 words min.):
He dwells by one of the land’s many farms. He doesn’t know who it belongs to, but what really matters is the fact that this farm has a watermelon patch. A big one. So many, in fact, that surely the owners wouldn’t notice if he took one. Or two. Or five.
. Okay, maybe he has a problem, but really he loves watermelon! They taste delicious, and he’s been using the seeds as ammo for his slingshot. Recently, the people running the place have started to notice the vanishing fruits. They call him mouse, as if a mouse is stealing whole watermelons... so it’s the name he goes by. Not like he had one before.

Why does this little one find watermelon and where does he find them? (100 words min.): One day, this little child was stumbling through the valley. But of course he was. He was a wanderer, he didn't know what to do. All he did was wander, he was lost, he was far from his home right now. He didn't even remember where home was by this point.
He had come by a stretch of land with a strange fruit, it reminded him of himself.
Strange, lost in an unknown place, maybe? He quietly studied the fruit, it looked like him, too. He didn't know what it was, but he knew he wanted more.
He made a home there. Grew his collection, he would wander more, of course, but only to grab every last one he could find.
Eventually, he found out it was called watermelon. Watermelon..? Perhaps this is why he was named his name, Xigua, he remembered hearing somewhere what that meant. It meant watermelon, but it sounded nothing like it, but maybe- Maybe it did mean watermelon.
He figured, by this point. He was destined to collect more. So that's what he did.
He found a home with the watermelon, and a purpose. And that's all he could ask for.
