𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕤 𝕒 ℝ𝔸𝕀ℕ𝔹𝕆𝕎?
ℝ𝔼𝔻The color of passion. Could be love, could be anger, could be anything in between. The two are more closely connected than one might think. Burning jealousy is never far behind a rose-tinted infatuation. Roses to flames, berries to blood. Red blurs the vision of the lover and the fighter.
𝕆ℝ𝔸ℕ𝔾𝔼An energetic color for both the enthusiastic and the aggressive. It draws the eye, pulling the viewer in, but can also be very striking. It fills the room, standing out brightly or harshly against the backdrop. Too much of either can be overwhelming.
𝕐𝔼𝕃𝕃𝕆𝕎Happiness, or fear? One may laugh for many reasons, be it gladly or anxiously. To see the sun shine on a summer day is to bring joy, but a strange yellow light in the distance might cause a fright. Brilliant, bright, shining, blinding. Impossible to ignore, for better or worse.
𝔾ℝ𝔼𝔼ℕHealing, growth, sickness, death. The color of nature, the color of industry. New shoots reaching towards the sky while mosses cover old fallen logs. The rustling of leaves or the soft crisping of a new dollar bill. The color of home.
𝔹𝕃𝕌𝔼The color that surrounds us. Calming, cool, cold. Inescapable. A breath of fresh air or a harsh winter wind. Contentment or calamity. Bright as the sky, dull as a stone. Leagues of ocean or an icy expanse. Endless, deep, moving.
ℙ𝕌ℝℙ𝕃𝔼The depth of night and void. Hypnotizing, mesmerizing, drawing one in. Light-years of space. Royalty and dark magic. A rare color found shimmering on the edges of supernovas. Luxurious, mysterious, entrancing. Not a color to be trifled with.

Iridium uses all these colors, brewing them up in several large cauldrons, white fluffy steam clouds always puffing happily out of the chimney of her little mountain hut. All the hopes and dreams of the world float up to the highest peaks of the mountain range, and it is her job to collect them and put them to good use. A dash of wonder, a pinch of sparkle, a little bit of wishful thinking… all these ingredients come together, filling the hut with a smell that can only be described as pure bliss. Once each color is of the proper vibrance, Iridium pours them into seven large vials attached to a great machine on the other side of the mountain. Firing up the machine sends a mist of color across the land, bringing smiles to those who see it. With the last drops of each color, Iridium puts them into tiny jars, the colors swirling and glowing with a warm light. These jars she saves for those who truly need help, for the good kalons who try their best but goodness knows life gives them a hard time. What these kalons do with the little rainbow jars is up to them, but no matter what they always end up feeling better. Iridium takes great pride in her work; she wouldn’t trade it for the whole world.

A hut on the top of a tall mountain sounds like a lonely place to live, but Iridium isn’t alone. There aren’t any other kalons for miles, but that doesn’t bother her. Instead, she tends to a large flock of sheep with wool as soft and fluffy as clouds. These special sheep get the wishes and hopes of the world caught in their wool, and this is how Iridium gathers the ingredients for her rainbows. But these sheep are more than just livestock to her; they’re Iridium’s best friends. She knows each and every one by name, and each day she guides them down to the greenest pastures on this side of the mountain. There she happily prances and runs with them as they enjoy the fresh, cool air. She makes sure each sheep is happy and healthy, and when one gets sick or injured she devotes her time to nursing them back to health. Her flock is fairly large, but they all love and trust her. When they start to panic, Iridium uses a soft, loving voice to soothe them. If they were to ever get into danger, she would defend her flock with her life, making sure every single one got home safe and sound. They were her family, and she was their loving adoptive mother.
