An immortal being believed to be a deity, Acantha is often reached out to in search of wealth, love, revenge, what have you. Her ways are shrouded in mystery, often simplified down to being her "powers", but you can be assured that Acantha will get the job done. Acantha's only requirement is payment, though her definition of adequate payment is ever-changing.
She has been known to manipulate others into coming back until they have nothing, sabotaging plans, telling them that they will never get what they need without coming to her. With no home to call their own, no money in their pockets, they resort to giving the clothes on their backs, entire body parts, until the only thing they have to give to Acantha is their life.
Acantha is blunt, bitter and to the point, quick to dismiss others if they take up too much of her time. She rarely believes anyone to be worthwhile. Expressing little emotion, always keeping eye contact, relying on fear and intimidation, feeling little remorse. And yet, despite her cold personality, some of the humans who come her way can get to her. True-hearted, so desperate for a solution to their problems that they'll come to a cruel goddess for help, leaving Acantha's gaze a little softer, her words a little warmer.
She doesn't like to get those ones.
How she goes about her duties varies, though it's rare for it to be entirely legal. Blackmail, murder, thievery, arson- as long as it gets the job done, it's good enough for her. Sometimes, it's as simple as drowning one person, and other times, it takes weeks, months, even years of work. And when she's feeling a little lazy, she might just solve it by killing the one who came to her for help.
When you're a revered deity, they'll let you do anything.
