The Basics

Name: Alek {a-lek}
Origins- The name Alek comes from mostly either Russian or Greek decent and has five other variants of its spelling; which include: Aleck, Alec, Alik, Alic and Alick. In Russian the meaning of the name Alek is: defender of mankind. In Greek the meaning of the name Alek is: Defender of men; protector of mankind.

Gender:A handsome male.

Species: Alek is a Psuedodragon Nightfury, the raresy species of Psuedodragon as they is and only ever will be two of them in exsistance.

Physical Description: Alek is small to medium-sized with a sleek, dark body with varying shades of a black or grey coloration. It sometimes appears bluish and has faint lighter patterns similar to that of a manta ray. He also has a pair of large, yellowish-green, cat-like eyes and sharp retractable teeth. This strange boy, alike his brother, also has a finned tail; not usually found on Psuedodragons.

Personality: Alek, like everyone and everything, has his ups and downs; he fears rejection and therefore cares too much about what others think about him as he secretly strives to earn everyone's approval. On the outside he seems tough and even firece; but that is all to cover up his soft and sensitive inside. When he is around his close friends Alek turns into a completly different dragon, he becomes quite charming, loyal, creative, and confindent, along with some other postive traits; however, this is just for one of his good days. If caught during a bad day he can be overly agressive, short-tempered, cold-hearted, and even distant at times, though who could blame him? We all have days like that.



History: Alek was hatched from an egg around the same time as his brother; his brother being the one and only Toothless! Yes, yes, the one we all know and love! Back to his story, he grew up very close to his brother as they did everything together. His life was perfect until everyone he knew started to disappear, his parents, friends, other family, and finally even his own brother. Poor little Alek thought he was the last Psuedodragon Nightfury out there as he was now all alone with everything he did. Eventually he stumbled upon a small village by the name of Berk, and what does he find there? Another Psuedodragon Nightfury! And not just another Nightfury but his own brother, Toothless; and not just that but he was with a human! Disgusted he hurried away back to his home, where he processed what he had just saw, not only did he find he long lost brother but Toothless was fine and free! So why didn't he ever go back and try and find Alek? Why stay with those horrible people who have seemingly wiped out their race? Angry he wanted revenge on his brother, so he went back the next day with plans of evil on his mind.

Back at Berk he searched for Toothless and finally found him, with that human again! Being so much smaller than humans he waited him out and finally the boy left. Alek ran to Toothless tackling him snapping at him with his sharp teeth. The two faught for a small bit before finally stopping to face each other after so long. The boy, hearing all the noise, came back the find his own Psuedodragon Nightfury with another one. Baring his sharp teeth at the human Alek backed off a lot as the giant got closer to him. In the boy's arms Alek struggled get free before going limp, he was being scratched under his chin; just where he liked it! Stilling not trusting him Alek was cautious of what the stranger did, even after he was set back on the ground.


Present Time: Months have gone by since that confusing day, but Alek now has a home and is again close with his brother; along with a few others. He grew to trust the boy, who he now knows as Hiccup. Berk, now home to two Nightfuries, is a peaceful and execellent place for Alek to be as he lives with Hiccup and Toothless.

Siblings- Toothless- their relationship has been shakey through their years both together and apart. When they growing up they were very close but drifted when Toothless went missing. Alek was then mad at his brother for a short time. But luckily the brothers managed to patch things up and are currently the best of friends, because what else is a brother good for?

Friends-
Hiccup- He is master to both Alek and his brother, though he is always the third best friend the boys could ever ask for. The three of them are hardly ever seen away from each other.

Astrid- Hiccup's girlfriend who sometimes tags along or steals Hiccup away for a while. She is more of an acquaintance to both Alek and Toothless due to a jealousy thing about 'sharing' Hiccup.
