1. A Brief Introduction
RAI. is an adoption forum for those who are a fan of horseracing, set in England (the country where modern racing originated of course). Raise, race, retire and breed champion racehorses, with the chance to enter top Classics Races to win real CS pets, that is if your horse reaches champion status! It's a game filled with all the thrills and dangers of real horseracing, I hope you will enjoy the game!
2. The World of RAI.
In the world you are the lucky owner of a 10 stall stable! When you buy your first horse you get both this stable, and 1000EQ. EQ is the abbreviation for Equidds, the games currency (unlike the old version, where we traded in CS pets). The game is also set in real time, meaning each day is day and each year is a year. The races wil, however, take place all year round and once every two weeks, which are the only two factors not similar to real life flat racing.
3. The Horses
3.1 The Thoroughbred Breed and Colour varieties
All the horses on the game a of the Thoroughbred breed, as in real British racing. This means that horses can only come in the colour varieties shown below:

In addition to the colours above you can have these facial marking:

Also, these leg markings are accepted:

3.2 Ageing in the Game
The horses on this game also age according to the year. If you buy a custom horse, it is a fully trained 2 year old and ready to race from day 1. If you breed horses in the breeding centre, you will have to wait 1 year, but choose the parents wisely and you won't be dissapointed. Here are the ages (by year) and the things that can and can't be done:
.0 years= horse still with mother, no racing or actions (not included in the game)
.1 year= able to sell horse in sales ring, no racing yet though (bred foals are here)
.2 years= able to sell and race (custom horses are here)
.3 years= able to sell and race (can only race in Classics races whilst 3 years old!)
.4 years= able to retire Group and Listed race winners for breeding, but can still race them if not retired, can still sell them
.5 to 10 years= able to retire all horses for breeding, but can still race them if not retired, can still sell them
.11 years= for welfare reasons, all horses are retired for breeding at this stage
.12 to 20 years= able to breed from both mares and stallions, sell any gender
.21 to 29 years= able to breed from stallions only, sell both genders
.30 years= All horses die at this stage
To retire your horse, simply send me a Private Message with the subject 'Retire a Horse', and the message 'Retire: (horse's name)'. After this your horse will be moved to the Breeding Centre, and will be put up for breeding. You will get a reply stating the stud/mare loan fee that you can charge at maximum, which takes into account your horse's performance and XP amount.
NB- You can find more on selling and breeding further down the page/Horses still racing cannot be bred from.
3.3 Racing XP:
XP is shorthand for experience points. Your horse accquires these from running in races, the higher they're placed the more XP they recieve! XP allows you to run in higher standard race, the value of your horse to rise and for XP to be passed on genetically to foals when breeding.
3.4 Racing Styles and Distance Ranges:
It's a well known fact among racing know-it-alls that every horse has their own style in which to race. Here are the 4 styles which you can choose from:
.Front Runner: Stays at the front for the entire race, without losing stamina
.Drop In: Stays near the front of the pack, then makes a move on the home straight
.Drop Out: Stays near the back of the pack, then makes a move on the home straight
.Hold Up: Stays right at the back of the pack, then surges forward on the final turn
Each horse also has their own distance type, which include 3 styles:
>Sprint: The shortest race length, but the fastest of all horses. Classics include the 2000 Guiness, the 1000 Guiness, Woodland Trax Sprint Cup
>Middle Distance: The perfect balance between speed and stamina. Classics include the Derby, the Oaks, the Woodland Trax Champion's Trophy
>Long Distance: The longest races, but the kings of stamina. Classics include the St Ledger, the Woodland Trax Stamina Cup
NB- Styles don't really affect performance, but distance type affects which races you can enter!
4. The Jockey Colours
These help you to be recognised in the RAI. world, and also act as your own personal stamp on the game. If you get to a high enough level, your colours can add value if you ever wish to sell your horses.
Here are the pattern selections below:

NB- Unlike the REAL world of racing, at RAI. we're more lenient and allow you to choose any colour combinations you want! You have to use these colours for each and every horse though, so choose wisely!
5. The Races
The races happen on every other Sunday. In order to sign up for the races, simply wait for a PM to come with all of the fortnight's races. Then choose a race from the list (obviously one that your horse is qualified to do XP wise (see below)) and send a reply with the horse's name and the race in which they have been entered.
The rankings of race, from lowest to highest, along with the entry :
.Maiden (no wins in any races)
.Class D (to have won a Maiden and have under 200XP)
.Class C (to have won a Maiden and have under 500XP)
.Class B (to have won a Maiden and have under 750XP)
