My grandfather also convinced me that Raisinettes were chocolate-covered ants.

I thought leprechauns and fairies and other types of mythical creatures like those were real, and that some lived in the wood behind my grand-parents house (this wood was really mysterious for me when i was a child, there was an abandonned manor, ruins of an old chapel and of 16th century farms coverred by bushes in it. Now, it's not mysterious at all anymore. The manor has been rebuilt and a rich family lives in it, the farms were rebuilt as well and they are now a bed and breakfast... And all the Fairies have moved out...)...

That's what I thought for the longest time! I felt so betrayed whenever I found out that that was not the case.

Well, you are right in a way. I'm not sure about now but apparently you could only have 2 children in China
