I think that it is cruel to keep animals in captivity! How would they feel if they were locked up in a pool of water ( Or just a cage ) thinking about all their friends who are free in the ocean! I say NO to this because I love animals and if you want to be locked up in a water tank or a cage, go ahead! But these animals deserve a right of freedom! I SAY NO AND THINK TWICE! JUST STOP CAPTURING ANIMALS!
Many people would walk past an abused-looking pet without caring. Some would abuse it more. Copy + paste this into your signature if you would help it to become well again, find it a home and care.

94% of people think that wolves are vicious, evil animals. Copy and paste this into your signature if you're one of the 6% who love wolves and think they are shy and amazing creatures.

Please, I said you could have a rational debate.
And, out of 24 orcas, 19 were born in captivity. SeaWorld has not captured a wild whale in over 35 years.
And, they have pleanty of room and they are getting an exspansion to their exhibit. ;)

I am against SeaWorld and cetacean captivity (other than when necessary for the animal). SeaWorld is mostly about profit and human gain. Captivity shortens lifespan and often causes dorsal fin collapse.
Orcas do not belong in tanks. A tank is a prison for them. And as for the "expansion:" a bigger prison is still a prison.

Animals in captivity are great. Whales in captivity aren't, just because they need such ridiculous amounts of space. Large pelagic animals in general don't do well in captivity.

I think the pools at SeaWorld are an OK size for the orcas, especially with the Blue Workd exspansion. But, I oppose places like Miami Seaquarium that have tiny pools. :(

Orcas can travel up to 100 miles in a single day. Compared to the ocean, SeaWorld pools are ridiculously tiny.

The reason they swim so much is food, family, stimulation, and exersize. They have all of that at SeaWorld.
