Aaa hello!! I'm a new member here I've been really wanting to find some fellow bird-buddies because I don't really know anyone IRL or anything ; v ;
I've got a pet pigeon that I rescued after she crashed into my house almost a year ago, her neck was severely hurt and with some help and love we got her healthy again. She's an ex-racing pigeon, she had tracking bands and we contacted her owners but they told us they didn't want her back because she didn't win her race, so the only use for her would be breeding since they felt she wouldn't be worth money. This is also super disgusting because the poor little scrap was only a few months old theres no way she would've been able to fly in the heavy storm we found her in.
Regardless, she can't live on her own since she was raised by humans, and now she's just my buddy! She's potty trained, she has a little mat in the corner that I taught her to use. She's always hungry, she really likes baths, and shes the best cuddlebuddy in the universe aaaaaaa shes so soft.
Her name is Pepper, and I love her eek

Hey there, I haven't been here for quite a few pages! I gave up 5 of 10 Ringneck doves, since they were mostly related to each other and there was a risk of inbreeding. I'm thinking of getting either 6 roller pigeons or 5 unrelated Ringnecks from the bird market. I marked the birds I was keeping with chalk (they all look the same lol) and it just so happened that one of them bathed and washed the chalk off... I accidentaly gave her away. :[ But what was really upsetting is that she had 2 eggs and a husband, the eggs hatched just a day after she was given. The babies are fine but the male birb is really working overtime for them.

Here's one of the babies, I think you'll agree he's quite ugly. ;D
