My point is that one of the only types of wolves are grey wolves, and red wolves. They just have a lot of subspecies, but the fact that they have a lot of subspecies doesn't change my view on the Grey Wolves themselves.
But honestly, I don't get what you're trying to say.
And on that list with Grey Wolf subspecies, I believe that you forgot the Caspian Sea Wolf. It's Endangered, possibly critically endangered, as it was used to be found between the Caspian and Black sea, but it can now only be found in the Southeastern corner of Russia. It's also known as the Caucasian Wolf.
