Hello there, and welcome to my humble little art competition!
Hi all! I am hosting an art competition, hopefully to rekickstart the passion I once had for this game. I am in the midst of working on becoming more active again, as this game is very near to my heart! While I am working on that, though, I've decided to make it easier for those of you who are in fact, still very much active! Yes, the title says it all, there will be List pets and very many rares included in this contest, like the brand new PPS dragon, and a for my favorite entries, there will be an extra competition for my 1/2 completed Zodiac Dogs set! This is a huge competition with huge prizes so I'm very excited to see how it turns out!
Rules!
1. This competition ends on April 30th but may be extended, depending on the entries
2. Please be patient with me, I am not active all of the time
3. You may enter as many times as you would like
4. Competitors cannot place more than once (1st-3rd place), but the top 3 contestants are still eligible to win zodiac dogs (scroll for more info)
5. I have permission to post submitted art to websites, role-plays, ect. (with credit of course)
6. Everyone who enters will win a prize
7. I reserve the right to extend the end date as well as end the competition early (Prizes will still be distributed)
8. One piece has the chance to place as well as win the zodiac competition but submitting more than one piece is recommended and will score much higher than only one entry, to stay fair to the other competitors
9. If you wish to include NSFW content in your piece, please contact me through my toyhou.se or Discord (Will link below)
10. All pieces must be your own work! I will accept YCH pieces if there are less than 10 total completed versions of said YCH, and depending on the complexity, they will be judged much more harshly, as most contestants will be submitting original work

1. Ref sheets-
Reference Sheets are extremely nice and take a lot of time, this does not go unnoticed and I always greatly appreciate seeing a very well done and clear sheet for any of my characters
2. Backgrounds
I'm a huge sucker for detailed backgrounds, they bring a piece together and really deliver an overall feeling to the piece. A well-composed piece with a satisfying background does wonders for the appeal of a submission
3. Holidays/seasons
This is pretty self-explanitory, I love seeing my characters functioning on a day-to-day basis and I feel like the holidays are an awesome way to capture the personalities and emotions of the characters! Holidays are always extremely fun to see incorporated into a piece.
4. Specifics from info sheets
I feel like this bullet point is hard to understand, so I'll explain! Each of the characters have an information page on their Toyhu.se, the more you incorporate from their information logs, the more true to the character! I have created each of these individuals based on a certain aspect of me, or feeling, or even experience, seeing this reflected into the art really brings these characters closer to home.
5. Shading
Shading is pretty much always a bonus! The more detailed and complex the piece is, the closer you are to winning the extra 1/2 zodiac set! Shading does not only add to the composition of the drawing, but it helps bring it to life!
6. Small details
I love details, and I'm extremely attentive to what is included in a piece, wether it is some extra trash on the floor in a portrait of a messy room, some buttons on a coat, or dials in a car, I'm always looking for details! This is not a rule in any way, shape, or form, just something I'd love to see more of!
7. Get Creative!
Probably my favorite aspect of art is the ability to change up styles, produce something nw or different, or even just to put your own spin on things! I love to see complex sketches, pixel pieces, GIFS especially, or my characters interacting with someone/something new! Don't be afraid to get out there, Id love to see what you have to offer! You're the artist and my characters are simply on your canvas, mess with stuff, fluff it up, have fun!
Extra!:
If a competitor wishes to make an advertisement/banner for this competition, they will win extra points on their entry! The more visually appealing, the better! This would be a great help and will boost your chances by a lot! Be creative and have fun with it! Advertise the prizes or pieces, whichever works! On top of bonus points, anyone who wishes to use a submitted banner for a length of the competition will win extra credit as well! (This is for a short period of time to boost the thread's popularity, will only accept a couple banners for extra credit!)

Once the competition has enough entries, I will be choosing a few of the pieces that express the most artistic talent, After the winners are announced for the main competition, the bonus competition will be judged, based on the skill shown in the pieces. The winner of the bonus competition will win my 1/2 Zodiac Dogs set, (6/12)! I'm very excited about this and would love to encourage some high quality art!
With the bonus event, I will be grading the art based on skill, the main competition will be judged based on my preference and not completely based on how skillfully the art was done. Though, any of the placing contestants are still eligible to win the Bonus event, as it is available to anyone.
